Once again, poor cell service. iOS App did not function correctly for drop off. Had to go to safari browser instead.

Richard SMy original reservation was to pick up the trailer at the U-Haul on Grand Ave in Wausau, near my house. The day before I picked it up, i was told I had to get it here. The driveway into Jon's is so narrow, and they gave me the trailer right at a tight corner off the narrow driveway. I am new to pulling a trailer and I definitely didn't need a stressful start like this. Really not jons problem, sounds more of a U-Haul corporate issue.
Maureen TA little out of the way, but not too bad. Cell data was spotty so after hours return took 20 min. would recommend a hotspot for uhaul returns.
Tim HThis location was available to serve me on a day of a snow storm . Unlike the main area Uhaul center in Schofield, WI that closed without notify me by phone ,email, or text they were closing and that my rental reservation meant nothing .
Ken PHad many issues with app and getting assistance with live chat. Very disappointing and frustrating. In 2024 you would think a big company like uhaul would have a user friendly app. Not one that instead of telling the user the issues. It instead bouncing a user from page back to start back and forth. Also there is no option to extend rental on app, that's ridiculous. Pick up location was great, was dark out with nobody around but still felt safe. ➕️➕️➕️

TIFFANY HWe were extremely confused by the drop off process as there was no obvious key drop and instructions didn't seem to match what was provided. More labeling or directions on what to do would have been useful on site.
MARISSA YI recommend having the truck with a full tank of gas and returned that same way. Trying to figure out how much gas is needed to bring it back to the same level since these tanks are larger than the typical car we use is a bit challenging. Having a separate sheet related to specifically bringing the truck back and step by step directions with the needed password written on it by the U-haul dealer would make it easier and less time to complete.
Donald KThe location itself would've been very convenient but everything else went wrong. We had a difficult time picking up the truck. Then when we finally got the truck, the equipment we requested was not included. So we had to drive to another service center 20 minutes away to get the equipment and they were busy and didn't have everything we needed. Then we had to return the equipment BACK to that location. So we ended up running around to 2 uhaul places when it would've been easier to just do it all at one location. Very inconvenient. It put us 2 hrs behind to begin with and we spent extra gas and time running around that we shouldn't have had to.
Kristy WProvide a better computer for Jon's Auto to use in entering information. They had to fill out forms by hand because of computer problems and the whole process took an hour.
JAY SA dirty, run-down place with gruff service people who refused to mask, even when asked. Five people in the office; three customers masked; two service people without. Muddy parking lot, the trailer I rented was not positioned for me to drive forward once it was hooked up, so I had to back it out. Will not rent from them again.
Macia ABefore this use... I did not realize that this location closer to Mosinee vs. Wausau existed. I do believe that you should allow more than just a one way rental from this location. I feel you are losing a lot of uhaul business by not marketing this location for all types of moves. Thank you. Lori Gintner

Scott SI was to return my uhaul on a Sunday but returned it on Friday. The business was closed Friday thru Sunday so I didn't see anyone when I returned it. Thank goodness for the nice gentleman that lived in the front of the business, he helped me get the car hauler off the uhaul for me so I could get the uhaul unloaded.

Henry LSomething that can be improved on is when somebody places a reservation at a location the reservation stays at that location. I have reserved this truck at this location. They've been transferred my reservation to a different town. Which would have increased my mileage I almost 20 miles one way. Then I called to arrange to pick the truck up the night before I needed it so I could get going earlier. Then the day I needed it, it was set up for the week after I would have needed it. So I had to have several calls to the reservation hotline to correct things. Finally my reservation was adjusted for me to pick it up one hour after I made the reservation. Then on top of that I had since I was mainly using it on a Sunday I still had to pay the 99 cents a mile just because I picked it up the night before. I like using U-Haul because there are good company but this experience was the worst I've ever had. And it's not due to the location. The gentleman that booked my original reservation understood what I needed and tried his best to accommodate. Basically after three or four days of calling the helpline, I picked up the truck I originally reserved from the location I originally wanted unfortunately I ended up paying more per mile.

Marcus KI have a general problem with UHual and how this whole rental turned out, and how Ron at this U-Haul Neighborhood Dealer wasn't of much help. I made a reservation at a local UHaul store in Marshfield, WI (Reservation No: 94481482). I first booked a 20 ft truck for $40 for 24 hr rental for a Saturday Aug 3rd pick-up in town at 612 E Arnold St, Marshfield, WI 54449. I though what was a reserved 20 ft truck. There was never a mention of reservations being changeable by Uhaul at their will with very little notice. 1) Then a day later Ron at this U-Haul Neighborhood Dealer told me that a 20 ft truck was not available, and changed it to a 15 ft truck for $30, for in-town rental to be returned at the same location. Ron at the neighborhood told me that a 15 ft truck was available for a Saturday Aug 3rd pick-up. Checking with him several times during the phone conversation to make sure that a 15 ft will be available for Saturday Aug 3rd pick-up. 2) On Aug 2nd, a day before an in-town move, Uhaul called to change an in-town pick up to pick up a truck 43 miles away in Mosinee, WI. And that they would provide me with 30 + 60 free miles. I agreed to it because it was too late to go to Penske with just one day left. When I called Ron about it he said he could not do anything about it as it was out of his hands. 3) On Aug 3rd when I went to pick up the truck at Mosinee WI area, the online checkout process told me that the rental price changed from $30 (in-town move) to $67 for one-way move and drop off at Auburndale, WI. But it was too late for me to do anything so I went with the process of checkout and then deal with Uhaul on the price change later. 4) The online checkout process at Auburndale also did not allow me to return the truck in-town at Marshfield, but only gave me a choice to return at Auburndale, which is again 15 mins from Marshfield. 5) So I had to find a ride twice, one was really far away. The in-town move would have cost me $30 + $15 for miles. But it ended you costing $67. Granted that this is not hugely exorbitant price, but the experience left me irritated. When I called Uhaul about it, they said that they gave me a truck for my move, and I agreed to a contract. My original agreement was for $30, and then because Uhaul switched my pick-up/drop-off location, the prices went up. In all of this process, I spoke to Ron three time after I went to his store to make the reservation. He said things were out of his hands once Uhaul switched locations. What is the point having U-Haul Neighborhood Dealer with whom you make a contract agreement, and then Uhaul changing it, and then Ron watches his hands off and says talk to UHaul. UHaul told me that they tried to help me make the move and that the price reflects one-way move, and they did not recognize that I made reservations for in-town move price, and they forced me to switch to one-way move. Granted I had an option to not agree to that price, but I had very little choice when I have made all

richard gLots of confusion about where to pick up the trailer for rental. I was not happy there was no commitment of pick up point upon making the reservation. It took 2 days and was told the wrong city to pick up from. Then I was called by the place I picked up from to say they had a trailer. Much confusion and my impression was employees on the phone were uninformed. This was the worst experience I ever had with uhaul.
Douglas SI don't understand why I was charged $248 for a $20/ day trailer. I will try not to use uhaul in the future. I feel ripped off.
