Upon drop off, I'd filled the van with gas, past where the guage was when i picked it up. I was told U-Haul did not take that into consideration, there would be no refund and I would still have to pay an extra $16 for mileage. Would have liked to know this when I picked up my vehicle.

Cherie LadouceurHad to wait outside a locked door for staff to arrive for 5-10 minutes even though I showed up during normal business hours. The worker was very friendly (the only reason this isn't a 1 star review). The truck was basically at empty when I received it (even though I was asked to return it at 1/4). I got an $18 credit but the fuel cost just to get the truck back up to 1/4 tank was about $60. I paid for blankets and did not receive them. Overall I got the truck I reserved and it ran well. The rest of the experience was a disappointment.
DOMINIC RANKELI gave it an above average rating because they share their location with a busy car wash and parking is tight. The staff were great and I dropped off my trailer without issue. I would rent from him as a pick up location here in Edmonton.

Rochelle CarpentierEmployee was very hard to understand and communication was limited, poor and seemed rude. Trailer left dirt & grease all over our furniture and belongings. It was filthy upon arrival. Electrical wires showing in ill repair underneath and possibly more. Started blowing fuses in our truck every 5 min. It should not have been so difficult to trade uhauls at East Side Storage Peace River. We sat there for another 2hrs going back and forth with U-Haul on the phone before we were finally given permission to do that and get back on the road. Overall a terrible experience and would like a refund. We still have to see if we can get the grease & dirt out of our belongings. I feel its important to mention the staff member at East Side Storage, Peace River was extremely pleasant, helpful and made the stressful experience much easier to deal with, she was excellent.
rebecca joeFirstly, tried calling this location twice, both times leaving a detailed message and my number, no one returned my call. Secondly, no one was available or answered the phone to help my girlfriend unhitch the trailer, so she manually has to lift it off herself, yet your young male employee asked me for help to lift it on. Trailer was filthy, I had to wipe the lights and reflectors, although 3 lights were not working. I was charged twice for the extra day rental, so I will be contacting my credit card company in the morning to with drawn the second payment, this can not be an extra days rental as it was dropped off 7 minutes prior to the time picked up, I have times stamped photos of this. Was harassed by the location who would not return my call about dropping this trailer off as another family were there waiting for this trailer, no one was waiting for it, and if they were, they could have used the identical trailer parked next to it, the one that had sat there since Friday, again, I have photo evidence as it was in the same photos I took of the trailer when I first picked it up.

Suliman Suliman AFMthese guys where perfect like the previous uhaul location I went to.although my last two experiences were good.i will always say avoid GS HELPERS LOCATIONS.u haul should definitely investigate this location and there shady tactics.being charged for extra milage and a bogus cleaning fee costing me twice as much as it should have almost made me go to an entire company altogether.ive always used uhaul and quite often I mite add just cause there's one dirty rotten apple in the basket doesn't mean the whole basket needs to be discarded.but that apple at GS HELPERS DEFENATELY NEEDS TO BE DISCARDED
david gillisAbsolutely ignorant staff member, wouldn't speak English to/in front of Me. So disrespectful. He denied taking the truck and denied giving me my money back and only gave me $18,45 from my $100 deposit when there was no damage (which i paid for insurance anyways) truck was clean and brought back with fuel. I had to call the 1-800 number and have a specialist talk to him and tell him to take the truck and he then called the owner of the store and he also said take the truck so he then took the truck. He also told me to take the truck to a different location knowing I had no driver with me and no license as my driver had to go to work. So he told me to ILLEGALLY take the truck to a different location. I also never did get my free month storage unit. But you took from me. Nothing but scam artists and thieves.

In fact, they were very honest in calling us to tell us that my wallet with all my credit cards had been left in the truck. An attitude that we definitely appreciate very much. There is no comparison between the service we receive here in Alberta and the bad experience in BC.

Kerri BrissonUnfortunately due to poor cell coverage, I did not receive the pick up location change so I proceeded to the original pick up location of 9915-108a Ave. in NW Edmonton. This was an incredibly frustrating and disheartening experience. The location is quite literally surrounded by poor souls having to live in tents and dumpsters. Beside the entrance to the business that represented Uhaul, City workers were attending to an unconscious man on the sidewalk. I had troubles communicating with the representative over the loud music and our respective language differences. No offer of help was offered nor given. After waiting on hold for 15 minutes in my truck, I was finally able to clear up the confusion and find out that there was a new pick up location. Though I do not fault Uhaul for a failed message attempt, I do however strongly suggest they pay more attention to how their brand is represented. I had booked my rental 3 wks before hand, I had printed records and all my ducks in a row, and after over 16 hrs driving, to be greeted by a blank stare and shrugging shoulders was more than a bit maddening. The location I ended up at was just fine, with a helpful soul and a smile. However, the phone representative had actually given me the address for the location's secondary parking lot (5 blocks from the main location) and figuring that all out cost me another 45 minutes.

The link I was sent (like 3 times for some reason) to confirm the condition of the truck was sent BEFORE I picked it up the truck, and due to the timing of things like getting checked in (drivers license, payment, etc.) and being sent to the wrong lot (see above) by the time I clicked on it it was expired. I phoned UHAUL to send a new link. The agent sent the wrong link. So I phoned again, and the new agent said it's impossible to resend the "confirm condition" link again. That's super messed up and makes no sense. FIX YOUR PROCESSES

Luckily the store operater was still there (I was supposed to pick up the truck at 5pm and still helped me at 5:10 after the store closed at 5pm) so he helped me with the vehicle pick up. The website needs to be updated to reflect accurate location service information. Had I been 10 more minutes, I would have been out of luck and not had a truck available for me.

Brandi LamontDid not have the truck I reserved. Was forced to pay extra commute to travel to another location to get a truck. Was not able to return the truck to the original location I had planned to rent the truck from which was closer to my location. I was told this is not allowed and would not be given the truck unless bringing it back to this new location I was forced to pay a cab to get there. Truck was also parked at another location which I had to walk to and from to get and return the truck keys. This was a ridiculous string of events to be able to get a truck and ended up costing me more than it should have having to travel further and pay extra commutes.

Awell ABAFITAFirst off the original truck i rented after I reserved it he called and said no it was not available . I called and they gave me a free upgrade to a 26ft. Well that just made me spemd more money on gas. So when I arrived to get my uhaul the man told me that the amount owing was 280$. I asked why so much he said he was charging me 150 worth of miles after I clearly marked 50 . Then told me they would just give me my money back on any mile I did not use . Well I think I might have used 20 tops. Amd have still not got any of my money back. He will not answer phone at place .

Wing SiuYour K mini Mart agent in Edmonton, Y. Suliman, knowing the vehicle he was providing was almost out of gas, offered me a credit if I would bring the fuel tank to 1/4. I drove less than 1 mile before the LOW FUEL warning light came on. I put $25 of fuel in the unit for only a 16,9 mile usage. After offering him the receipt, he neither adjusted my bill nor offered a refund. So far he is not a man of his word and has failed to provide the credit that he promised.
Douglas KeithThe trucks passenger side mirror kept moving out of place, making it dangerous to drive. The proprietor did not seem concerned and simply stated he was aware of the problem. He then attempted to assert I had not returned the vehicle with the correct amount of fuel, even though the gas gauge was at exactly the same level. Even when I showed him my gas receipt he tried to claim it was not an approved transaction. I would never rent from this location again.
