U-Haul website didn’t work, sat in parking lot for over an hour and a half trying to complete online pickup. Truck was available but had no way to get key. The customer service was very good and got me into truck. U-Haul website sucks! Customer service and pickup area very good!

We had to go through all the reservation questions 4 times. We ended up not getting the size truck we reserved or the furniture pads we reserved. Called U-Haul many times and were told repeatedly it was our fault.

Figure out how to lower the price per mile, I spent $150 between the rental and filling it with gas. I will buy my own trailer and a receiver hitch instead of ever renting from Uhaul again and I'll save money

The 5 x 9 trailer did not travel well behind my pick up I think there was an issue with the tongue on the trailer, I had a blowout on the left for Tire halfway to my destination. Your people need to look at their equipment a little bit closer and if it needs to be replace replaced you need to do it other than that I had a good experience

did not explain the cost of renting at all, one way versus in town. Trailer had a bearing cap missing when I picked it up and didn't notice until later.

I initially called for a 20ft truck to the KB Auto location. I was told everything was good to go to have the truck on Saturday but over weekend after made reservation I realized would need additional day of sunday. I called KB Auto back and he indicated my reservation was never submitted and already had another person getting a truck that day. He indicated he had taken care of everything and would have truck for me on the sat and sunday, no problem. On Thursday that week (we were moving that sat/sun) I was called and told there was no truck available. They was able to get me a truck in pella but the price went up from 39.95/day with 1.09 per mile to 178.00 since it was going from a round trip to a one way. The miles between locations of the houses moving was only 4 miles and KB Auto was within the route of travel, so this change was a large increase in the cost to me. I called into the traffic department in des moines and talked to Gina. She was very rude and unhelpful! Between the locations and the traffic department I was getting different answers from everyone as to what the cost would be and if I even had a truck or not. I ended up talking to Bob at The Lucky Fin in Pella the next morning and he helped to get everything straighten out. I was told it would be 178.00 in cost, they were giving me 50 miles free and would give me a 50.00 rebate. This got cost back down to what expected so agreed to the change. He had told me the reservation was for 3 days so I would need to turn in the truck in Osky by Tuesday at 11. We did the move and had a couple items left to go get and was going to get on Monday since Bob had indicated I had the truck till Tuesday. I received a call from UHaul Monday slightly before 11. They then told me the truck was due back on Monday by 11 and to turn the truck into KB Auto. Even though this was different than what I had been informed by Bob, I went and turned in the truck. If I had been told the correct information I would have gotten the rest of my move done sooner, so was very frustrated that I had once again been told something incorrect within the process with UHaul. I also was frustrated because KB Auto was within the drive from locations moving and they had a 20ft truck sitting at the lot the whole weekend, so not sure why I even had to deal with this frustrating when there evidently was a truck available at the location I had originally put my reservation in with. I have now had the charge for the UHaul rental hit my account, and was charged around 195 plus an additional 10. I also have not received the 50.00 rebate to the cost. I do not have any documentation that explains why more than 178 was charged. The only item I have in my email shows the 10 that was added later and it appears that may be fuel cost. No one has called me to explain, so I called the traffic department in Des Moines IA and talked to Gina. Again, she was very rude and unhelpful. The only issue I have with KB is that I was told that they would call me to arrange a pickup time. That did not happen. I had to call them. BUT this whole process was completely screwed up! I made the reservation 25 days in advance. 3 days before the pickup, on a Friday, no less, U-Haul informs me there are no dollies within 70 miles of Des Moines! I ended up driving 156 miles round trip the opposite direction to get one. U-Haul, your process is PATHETIC! I definitely have a bad taste of your "Nationwide" company.
