Have rented here a few times here and have always had a good experience. The cargo van was great and almost new with a little over 14 000 miles.

I have been to this station 3 times. One for an inspection and twice for uhaul rental. I believe the only reason they are still in business is because the mechanics do a good job and they are friendly. There is a woman there who is always late and very nasty. If your uhaul pick up is 9am you can forget that go at 930. I found out yesterday that she is the owner. I was SHOCKED!! I will use uhaul again but not at Ken's service station in Montgomery ny

The clerk who checked us out was unprofessional and not efficient. She took a personal call while checking us in and ended up charging us for the wrong truck/someone elses reservation. She was argumentative when we told her that we had a different truck and dates and she said "well that's not what I see here". That's because she was looking at the someone elses reservation and booked us for the wrong one. What should have been a 10 min deal because we had "self check in" but had to wait for her to get there so she could give us the keys and check us in (?!), took an hour. Unbelievable.

First, the person in charge of renting the U-Hauls was 10 minutes late. I told her (Sherrie) I would be there at 9 AM when they were supposed to be open. She didn't arrive until 9:10. It then took another 10-12 minutes to get the paper work completed. In my contract I was charged for Insurance (Safe Move) which I didn't want, nor was I asked if I wanted it by Sherrie. When I called her back on Monday (rented on Sat) I told her I didn't want that and was never asked. Her reply was well you should've have told me it's to late I can't take that off your bill. I said back to her that I was never given the option. I asked her don't you think you should've asked me if I wanted it instead of charging me $14? She replied, "Well you should've said you didn't want it." I just stopped arguing after that. No sense in arguing with someone that is not listening. In regards to her being late. I returned the vehicle at 12:08 that same afternoon. I thought maybe she would still be there, NO WAY!!!!! She was gone. The service station person working said punctuality is not her strong point!!! She set me back nearly 30 minutes that day. The cost of renting the truck and location was perfect. She was not and I would hesitate to use them again.

I will never use Ken's Service Station again. They tried to rip us off my saying there was a 1/2 tank of gas. We had to take pictures of the gas gauage to prove they were wrong. And then they charged $25 to say the truck was not cleaned out. Complete lie. This place is a fraud and I will never recommend to anyone. I will be disputing this charge with my credit card company. Disgusting that in today's world you still have dishonest, nasty people.

The app has many problems, uhaul phone customer service was incompetent and even the website took forever to check me in at pickup. Don't know why I had to enter my address three times for the same reservation. The staff at the location was excellent.

I picked it up via my phone since it was on a Sunday. I had to call the 800 number for assistance because even though I turned on my location it did not work, it took another step in my settings. I made the reservation for 9am and was not able to leave the location until 9:30

My experience was not okay. There was multiple errors which was unacceptable on uhuals part. For me to have reservations through speaking with a live representative is ridiculous. Then being promised and reassured things with we're not true made it seem as if they were just saying anything to get me off the phone . I'm so disappointed

The car hauler was iced over ( which I understand our weather stinks ) one of the tie down chains had a broken hook on it which deemed it unusable , one of the wheel straps was twisted over again deeming it unusable .. otherwise they were great . Very helpful at this location

Ensure that vehicles being picked up in winter conditions are free of ice and snow. Having to clean off vehicles in the winter is not a good customer experience, and a waste of customers time. It took me 30 minutes to free my vehicle of snow and ice, during which I fell twice.

The equipment was just fine with minor damage, and the initial rental was smooth. However I only rented the trailer for 4 hours and after returning it within 2 hrs, the office was closed for the day. I returned trailer to the spot that I took it from and called it a day. Two days later received a bill for a 2 day rental because they didn't check it in until Monday morning. I called the office and they reluctantly agreed that I was charged double and began refund. All my email receipts show corrected billing, however instead of refunding me the double bill I was charged again. So 1 week later it isn't resolved and I've been charged for 4 days of a 2 hour rental. I'm going to the shop today, but overall this place is not worth the headache of poor billing.

I arrived at 8:50am for my 9:00am rental, and I didn't get helped until 9:30am. The woman who was the only one able to process my rental walked in extremely late and did not apologize for the amount time I waited. Really poor experience with the staff overall.

The staff and owner of Kens are helpful, but the truck was not. It's tires were bald and the driver door didn't shut. When I tried to back on a flat, level grass lawn the rear tires almost immediately starting spinning and I ended up having to pay Kens towing $271 to pull it off the lawn. I don't know if I will use U-Haul for a bigger move next week. At this point I am really pretty angry

I was given a truck with 3/4 tank of fuel, drove 13 miles and put gas in before returning it, was told I returned the truck with an empty tank of gas, was charged $106,88 for gas to fill tank and $30 for a fill up fee, I contacted them, was told I would get a call back, nobody called me back, received an email the next day that I was getting a refund of $136.88, not only did I not get the refund yet, there is an additional charge in the amount of $129,8 on my credit card from them. So that is a total of $266,68 charged to my card that should not have been. Very poor customer service

I rent Uhaul cargo vans a couple of times a month for business purposes. For the second time I was not able to pick up the vehicle at the time I reserved it for (28th Sep 21 & 16th Oct 21). I would not recommend to pick up under the 24/7 truck share method. In terms of cleanliness of the vehicles, when I picked up the cargo van on the 29th after the mess up on the 28th, it had 2 bottles of urine, one in the cabin and one in the cargo area, it was disgusting. I had to disinfect the whole van for it to be comfortably used. The second time on the 16th Oct, the lock box was empty, NO KEY!!. I ended up having to use a 10 foot truck which was a different price range, my usual cost for the cargo van with 200 extended miles cost me approximately $150 to $175 per day, whereas due to this mess up by the agent which was no fault of mine, I ended up paying over $245. The truck was DIRTY and smelly, I spent over 45mins just cleaning the truck to be able to travel 200 miles comfortably. The seat covers were about to fall off and the check engine light was on for most of my ride which disappeared along the way. I have photographic proof for everything I am stating here.

As far as Ken's goes, nothing that I can see needs improvement. I got a nice clean low mileage pick up. I got my yard cleaned up from construction debris and my driveway and garage from my move the end of July. Thank You!

Poor service and a "could care less" attitude. Tried to upload Dr Lic on website and per text uhaul sent. Neither worked. The counter person seemed agitated that she had to do it. Never went over the contract just shoved two forms to me and said sign here.... Well when I reserved the truck I waived the insurance, however the rep charged me for it and said their was nothing she could do... Will not use this location again... .

This location that I picked up from has horrible staff. Very rude people answering the phones. I called to ask how I pick up my truck on a Sunday since they are closed. They told me that I could pick up the truck on Saturday and still keep the truck until Monday with no extra charge. Come to find out they lied. So I had to rush to get my stuff packed in a day earlier with no help from anyone since plans were made for the following day. These woman that I spoke to need a class in customer service and honesty towards clients. I will not be utilizing this location in the future or recommend anyone to utilize this location.

To rent was very fast, infact they took care of me at closing time on Saturday, which was great, because you know everyone likes to go home especially after a full week of work. When I returned the vehicle they were very busy but got me checked out immediately. They are customer orientated. Will recommend them. Thanks...

I made my original reservation a week in advance at the Middletown facility and when I arrived to pick it up, I was advised they did not have the trailer I reserved. They said they tried to reach me, but I received no such calls. I was forced to travel to Montgomery NY to acquire the trailer I needed. Very poor marks for Middletown.

Ken's Service Center Uhaul is convenient, personnel are friendly and the Uhaul trucks are always clean. The online return wasn't the easiest user experience but it wasn't horrible either. First time using online return so I am a newbie to the process.,

Location did not prepare the moving vehicle for online pickup. As it was their fault, an attendant had to return to the store to release the vehicle to me. She sat in her car for 10 min (on a hot day) with me sitting outside until she decided she was ready to complete the checkout. The only positive is that I was able to have a truck only an hour late vs. none at all (as I was > 90 miles from home for a one-way rental).
