The 26' truck that I was in rode really rough. It was clean when I picked it up. The customer service from the pick up was outstanding.

Mark FahnerThis location is great for me. The staff at this facility are great people. However the price of this truck rental is not so great. In fact in my opinion it is absolutely terrible! You advertise trucks for $19.95. Yet to rent this truck for a few hours and return it with more fuel than it had when I picked it up cost me just over $98! I travelled a total of 56 miles round trip, I purchased the extra insurance for $15 and paid the $1 "Environmental fee" and the $7,92 "Rental Tax." This doesn't include the cost of the fuel I put into this "$19,95 a day rental"! What you do better is #1) don't advertise that you rent vehicles for $19,95 a day when clearly you know they are way more than that, & #2) lower you cost per mile from 0,99 cents per mile to a reasonable amount! Other than that the truck was great and so was the rental staff.

Michael SheltonI made an appointment on line for pick up/drop off at Kershaw Builders Supply. I found out that my reservation was changed to another town. The Kershaw reservation person managed to get it changed back. I drove the truck about 12 miles to support our Prison Ministry.
Mark FahnerThis location was fine. However, we were originally to pick up a truck in Lancaster, SC. We got there at the pickup time, and no one was there. I called and the man told me that they only did local moves, and he had not taken the reservation. I called U-Haul and they said my reservation had been cancelled. I got no notice of that, and actually had a confirmation text the night before. We had to have a truck that evening, and they found the truck in Kershaw, which was even further from my house. This added another two hours delay and lots of frustration to my move. We were loading the truck and cleaning until after midnight. Very unhappy with the way this was handled by U-Haul.

Joseph BigelowI know you're probably wondering why I only rated this average and then gave such high ratings on the questions. It is because it was late in the day and there was only one gentleman who had to mind the store which is a wonderful old school hardware store. Therefore we had to pull the trailer around front and Park/disengage the trailer ourselves, I don't know if this is standard operating procedure? It was not that big of a deal for us even though I am 63 and my sister is 70 we managed pretty easily.

EDWARD COXMy experience with U-Haul was absolutely terrible because they had me to go Pageland were they had double booked the U-Haul come to find out the person had done left for Alabama and the said I was to pickup U-Haul we’re stayed u Chesterfield South Carolina they had double booked that was well that person had done came and got the U-Haul and they was on they was to New York City so then the send me to Kershaw and Location was very friendly and polite service but I finally got a U-Haul but then they tried to charge me when I bought that U-Haul back same day FULL OF GAS ⛽️ but yes my service with U-Haul Was terrible 😢 yes it was but through all of that it was nice doing business with you all and I am talking about my experience all together with U-Haul

Roy Montgomery GloverThe truck I got was very dirty in the cab Someone smoked in there before and it smelled horrible and there was cigarette buds and ashes in the cup holder and the steering wheel and radio buttons were nasty feeling Took it back to my house and cleaned and disinfectant the cab part. Will not rent from them again.
Melissa HinkleI was not able to rent from the location it self. But I was able to talk directly with the field supervisor who was fantastic. She was very helpful and got me set up right away. Took care of my concerns. Very polite and ready to help. Great customer service!

Anthony VentittelliDon't move the pick up location 24 hours before pick up. Also have the vehicle reserved available. Kershaw has made it right, but it should not have even been there. The reservation and pick up process was a disaster. By no means a reflection on Kershaw. Every other part of the process was a disaster.
Brad MarsicoI have NEVER in my life seen and experienced someone so rude and unprofessional as the man at Kershaw builders supply who took my info to put in the computer. He was a smart mouth that didn't want to listen to me as I explained to him what I was told by the lady at uhaul about what I was expected to pay upfront which was 100 and I would be charged 79 cents a mile afterwards which I would pay with my debit card the remaining balance and HE DID NOT WANT ME TELLING HIM WHAT I WAS TOLD , and told me REAL HATEFUL like ,"" that's not how we do it here ""!! , I told him I was prepared to pay the 100 deposit and he said I would have to pay the mileage up front which was 144 miles ( there and back) and when giving him mine and my fiance's driver license info he was mad already at me and so he kept telling me to start back over with our license numbers and when I did and he put it in the computer it didn't come up like he said it was supposed to and HE THREW HIS GLASSES AT THE COMPUTER!!! I wanted to run out the door!! I didn't know if he was gonna jump at me next and I told my grandson who is 15 and witnessed all this to go get my fiance Bill Walters who is a retired state trooper who was teaching a driving class next door to come help me with this man ! I got tired of him telling me the computer would not take the 100 deposit ( really?) So I told him to take the 216 he said I had to pay him to get the uhaul so I could get out of there and he did and when I asked him where the uhaul was he looked at me and held his hands up in the air and said , "" will you let me get this paperwork ready ? "" All he had to say was it was next door . He is the MOST UNPROFESSIONAL RUDEST MAN I HAVE EVER DELT WITH IN MY LIFE, AND UHAUL WILL NOT GET MY BUSINESS THERE EVER AGAIN. I was told to go to the uhaul dealer in Lancaster but I live in Heath Springs and kershaw builder supply was closer so IM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO HAS HAD PROBLEMS WITH THAT MAN. UHAUL IS GETTING A BAD RAP BC OF THE WAY PEOPLE ARE BEING TREATED IN KERSHAW. I CAN'T SPEAK FOR OTHER PEOPLE BUT I CAN TELL YOU I WANT RENT ANOTHER ONE THERE EVER AGAIN.

beverly davisThere was confusion at pick because I had ordered a 15' truck online and was told when I arrived that there was no such thing. I was given a 20' truck instead, but at least I was only charged the price that I was quoted online. The condition of the truck was very good!
