I received a vehicle with a leak in the tire. I questioned this, but was assured that the equipment was still safe to use, and would get me to my destination. Unfortunately, the tire blew out while I was driving, endangering my and others' lives. I was unable to get in touch with the location's manager. I spent 3 and a half hours on the side of the road awaiting Roadside Assistance. The whole situation is completely unacceptable.

Charged me the incorrect amount, took about 45 minutes to check-in WITH a reservation, put insurance on my card though I declined, misrepresented the gas gauge on the paperwork but didnt give me a copy until after I left the office, charged me 3 gallons of gas for 24 miles after I put a gallon in the truck, tried to email my complaint to the email link on the email sent to me that said "if you have any issues" and the email was returned "failed". I got charged $89 for 24 miles of driving in a $19,99 truck, all after having to go to this location when I reserved my truck on Weeksville Rd and later told i needed to pick it up from this location which added 10 miles to my total miles used. Sent an email as a reply to one of theirs AGAIN to complain and have not heard back or had the charge corrected. I will tell anyone who will listen to NEVER use this location or give their credit card for payment. FRAUD!!!!

When we arrived for the pickup, there was no one there, despite the business supposed to be open. My father and I had to hook up the trailer ourselves, which lead to my father hurting his back slightly due to the heavy nature of the trailer. The trailer did not even have the extension cord for the turn signals and break lights, we were told to either take it off another trailer if we could or we would have to go through the extra work of buying one ourselves from a hardware store and attempt to get reimbursed for it. Overall, very bad experience.

Had me call him when dropping off then wanted me to leave truck unlocked with keys above the visor. We refused and locked truck and put keys in drop box.

There was no one at the location and the business was closed. No one answered the phone, it required me sending an email that was posted on the building for someone to call me. When he called me he said that no one needed to be there for me to pick up, but the trailer did not have the required wiring… Luckily there was a return sitting in the lot that had a trailer wire that he asked me to go get. Additionally when it was booked I did not have a copy of the contract after showing the rate and the rate that I was charged was incorrect, but since there was no one in the building there was no one to talk to you about that except for having to call one800 U-Haul.

I had request to possibly have an extension. He granted the extension for a couple hours. I was charge not one, but two additional day. I requested for a refund. It appears only partial refund was granted not the full. I am absolutely disappointed by this service.

Nobody was there had to call another location to notify that i am going to pick up the truck and never received a drop off location through email or text. The truck wasnt clean nor kept up with maintenance. And i couldnt tell anyone because nobody was there

The location was not open at its advertised time or our pick up time. We waited over two hours for someone to show up and give us our truck. This significantly impacted our moving day. Honestly I'd like some type of reimbursement if possible.

It had old cars for sale. UHaul sign small. Glad my son had Google maps on. Internet was not easy out there. Took several attempts toget passed step 1.

The truck was clean and everything but the car dolly the trailer light wiring was coming apart and and didn't seem like he wanted to do anything about it. I made reservations on line with no insurance at all and he just decided to add it in

Trailer was hooked up to truck lights plugged in. Left location, less then a mile down the road, trailer came off hitch as I was going 45 mph. Ended up being a traffic hazard and having to call 911 to keep me from getting hit. Once trailer was back on truck correctly, police officer informed me that left brake light was not working. Pickup location was closed so I was unable to call them to inform what had happened. Next morning woke up to flat tire and it taking almost 10 hrs for someone to arrive to fix fire and lights on trailer.

I cannot believe I am writing this kind of review. I rented a 19,95 uhaul. Asked for 50 miles and 2 days. Was told miles were going to be 0,83 cents. Returned it in less than 24 hours. Place was closed. Camera's everywhere. Wrote the time I dropped it off on the key and left in the drop box. Was not asked if I wanted insurance. Would have declined because of Military insurance. Was charge $28. for insurance, Charged for 2 days, charged 1,29 per mile = $64.50. Natasha told me she checked the mileage at it was only 23 miles and that she checked it in on Monday morning a a little past 8:00 a.m. She also told me that they were closed on Sunday. So... I have to pay because they are not working. They have cameras and can see me and my husband. I am certain. What madness is this. Folks in Elizabeth City beware. I signed nothing. I acknowledged nothing. I received nothing in my email as he told me I would. I received a text message. I DO NOT OPERATE ON TEXT MESSAGES. UHAUL charged me $110 for a $19,95 truck. POOR People beware...

Truck was almost empty and filthy! Garbage everywhere and could barely see through windows when sun hit as smeared so bad. Smelled terribly of smoke

The mileage out was not accurate in their system and I was extremely over charged upon returning the rental to a different location. I am highly disappointed as I have rented numerous uhaul trucks before (even recently from another location) and have 5 uhaul climate control storages at another location. This over charge makes me feel that I am not valued as a customer despite my loyalty to uhaul.

Worst customer service ever! Called back to get an itemized copy of my receipts because I was overcharged. The owner himself answer the phone and constantly scream back at me for asking him question on the bills. I would not use this facility at all!

I have rented many U-Hauls before and was very pleased each time. However there seem to be a lot confusion at this particular location, which was odd to me since I made the reservation online. No one walked me around the vehicle to pre look for damages, check the fuel gauge, or anything. I will definitely rent from U-Haul again....but not at this particular location.

I went in there and was told I had to put a deposit since I was paying cash and I would get the remaining money back the following day when I return the truck. They told me the rental was $29 a day and then charges me for 2 days 39,95 a day I had to pay them more money for a truck that I was under the impression I would only be paying a little over $30 for and paid over $170 for less than 24hrs would NEVER recommend

Meh. Dirty trailer with a jammed door and broken lock hasp. Only 1 of those is attributable to kjf. They don't own a broom to sweep it out and a knife to cut away all of the rope from the previous user?

I ordered pads for my furniture and when Uhaul changed locations for pick up there were no pads available at that pick up.
