I had rented a van at 3 pm and supposed to return at 3 pm the next day, I had unexpected problems (the storm mostly) anyway , well anyway we had to keep the van an extra day however the man from u haul called and said I had to return the van by 8 am which is not the 24 rental , we returned the van at 11 pm that evening so we didn’t have to get there by 8 am , and again we HAD TO RETURN BY 8 AM , not til 3 pm the next day which would have been another 24 hr rental for which I was charged!! All because someone else needed that van and as soon as they got the van they rented it again on part of my 24 hour PAID TIME!!! I didn’t think that was fair or right at all, actually quite dishonest!! Dishonest businessmen like that definitely want to make you go somewhere else as well as the first time I rented a truck online and there was an ad stating that if the vehicle wasn’t ready when I went to pick it up there would be a twenty dollar credit.... well when I got there we were there almost an hour! Because the whole thing had to be done over and my card was swiped 3 times for the transaction which froze my card and it was a very good thing I had cash on me to pay for it!! Nice people but very bad business people!!!!

First, I would like to say, all the U-Haul reps/staff I dealt with were nice, pleasant, and tried to be helpful. However, they were not able to solve an important problem. When the staff at K-Music hooked up my truck to your trailer, the trailer did not have right rear lights (directional and brake light). They hooked up my truck to a second trailer on the lot. Same problem. They concluded the problem was with my truck. The staff instructed me to go to another U-Haul rental site in Utica as the staff there would be able to fix the problem my truck was having connecting to the lights on your trailer. I tow trailers with my truck quite often and was surprised by this situation. But, but I complied and went to the other U-Haul vendor. The second vendor examined my truck and determined it was your trailer all along. And they couldn't make the necessary repair because they were not able to get parts. I had already lost an hour and half of time. I needed to pick up a purchase of furniture and couldn't delay anymore. I took the trailer as is and hoped for the best. I was traveling in good weather and mostly in daylight. My question: What is the policy for your vendors to inspect vehicles (and trailers) before renting them out. I think that should be done well in advance of the customer pick-up time. Why should I, as the customer, lose my time waiting for your vendors to inspect and repair your equipment? And if I had not accepted the trailer as is, I would not have been able to get any other trailer in the area until days later. I also would like to comment about my disappointment with your reservation system. I made a reservation well in advance of the pick-up date. Two days before my scheduled pick-up, I was notified that the requested trailer (6x12) was no longer available at my preferred pick-up location and the new pick-up location was over 40 miles away from my preferred pick-up location. I had already begun my trip and could not change the pick-up time so I was forced to rent a smaller trailer (5x8) from a location only 15 miles away from my preferred pick location. This really started the trip on a wrong note

It took over 30 minutes for the only u-haul representative present to complete the same documents that I had filled out when I had reserved the truck a week earlier. There was no explanation given as to why I needed to complete another application. The whole experience was a total waste of my time. The good news is that there was a truck available and I was able to get out of there. I will not recommend using this location.

Uhaul met my needs. I wanted to pick up at one location, however, the night before pick up Uhaul contacted me and sent me to another location causing me to go over in mileage. Not a big deal, just not a convenient location for our needs.

It took 20 minutes to go through everything I the app to pick the truck up and then it couldn't verify. You could possibly change the verification process or make it so you could do the verification process ahead of time.

I think as a business that you should show consideration for certain circumstances. It was a very cold very rainy night when I returned the truck. From my angle I saw the fuel to b on the line. The gentleman says no and for less than 3$ or so of gas charged me 45$. I understand policy however there was a def question on whether or not it could of been seen. They also rounded up on the miles???? So I’m was not happy with my service at all. I felt robbed and I will def look for other options before using uhaul ever again.

Car was supposed to be picked up at 10 am but would not start. I left with the same car at 11 am and when I got home turned the car off. After that, the car would not start. After trying for half an hour car started. I had to pay addittional money to people helping me move due to car not being ready. I had to keep the car running because it had an issue with started. That caused me spending additional money on gas. I hopue U Hall will reimburse me

My discount was never applied and the man I spoke to on the phone told me to tell the location if there were issues. When we got there, he knew nothing about it and didn't even know how to apply the discount. When I called back they said they had to talk to management and then never did. And I was also told to bring the dolly back at a certain time bit when I got to the location they told me I had to have it back 6 hours sooner. Therefore we ended up paying for over a day and were only allowed to have it for 10 hours. That's is ridiculous and we should be refunded our entire purchases back

1.) On 8/7/2018, U-Haul Reservations told us a 26-ft truck was "available" in Utica on 8/8/2018. It was not. It was 100 miles / 5 days away, according to the "Scheduling Manager" we spoke with after the reservations phone line was no longer active. Why U-Haul doesn't have longer hours and better data for its reservations service is beyond comprehension -- especially since their online system is so clumsy. 2.) Person at pick-up site was courteous and did his best, but needed more help for the level of business that morning. It took over an hour's wait before getting on the road with the 20-ft truck that had been substituted on our reservation. 3.) Going through rain storms en route, the truck apparently took on water at the rear of the cargo area, and 8-10 cartons of irreplaceable documents are water-damaged! 4.) Truck needs a new driver's side windshield wiper. 5. U-Haul's online reservations site is clumsy, and some important information (cost of an additional day's rental, for instance) are well-hidden, as is the exorbitant cost of insurance for each additional day. 6. Displayed online price for baseline 4-day rental of a truck went up more than $100 in less than an hour as I looked at available options!

Would not reccomend to ANY ONE and have already done so. NOT a safe 24 drop off. Heavy crime rate area with many vagrants. No orginonal site should Not havr reccomended.No place to get gas at night near by. Charged me for a sliver of gas off when i filled up 8 miles away and was getting 12-14 mpg. Returned early safe and clean And still dinged me. I have been usieing u hall a lot lately and honestly after this ill switch to penski or someone who not going to bill me 9.00 for less than a gallon of gas and .40 cents milage for just a few over a few miles because of detours on amd accidents 81.

This was for a military move and our vehicle was changed the day before we were supposed to pick it up. We weren't even told it was going to change, I saw the change on the email confirmation and then called. This resulted in us having to do a second trip, which between the new contract, gas, and tolls is going to cost us over $1,000 more.

Make sure equipment is clean and make sure van is large enough to transport desired items. For instance I was told the van could carry full size bed and 2 dressers and really had a difficult time fitting into van.
