The pick up process through my phone took 45 minutes and wasted time that I paid for with the uhaul. The reason for the delay was because the lock the key was in was so rusted I couldn't figure out how to open it. Then once I got into the truck, the tire pressure light was on.Danielle S.
The truck hasn't been inspected since JUNE! The front right tire didn't have a pressure reading so we didn't want to drive it off the lot and tried calling customer service and roadside assistance. We were waiting for 45 min and then a customer service assistant said if "it didn't look flat" we could go. Horrible service.Ian D.
The sensor for the tire air pressure was broken. I was reassured the tire pressure was checked prior to my rental but recommend the sensor be repaired.Carolyn L.

It was not explained to me when I made my reservation that the pick-up location would depend on truck availability. I designated a pick up location close to my home and that was changed to a location 45 minutes away. I was never notified of this location change.Lauren T.

I was over charged for furniture pads and a dolly that were not in the truck at pick up. Tried to call but every time there is Over and hour wait to speak with some one. This sucks!!!James G.

Several things...the truck was dropped off at the wrong location, 40 minutes in the other direction than where I needed to go. When I got there, the gent said the previous renter never dropped off the truck. The only truck he had was a 10' with no ramp (I rented a 15' with a ramp). After striking out with another Uhaul location, I took the 10' unit. Poor experience with Uhaul, go to Penske.Caleb D.

The app was a little confusing when trying to check in. There should be a note to click Next once you verify that you located your truck. I thought if I clicked Next then I would be done and not able to find the key that was located in the lock box. This led to me calling customer service for help however if I was told to click Next I would have saved time and knew the approval process and key retrieval process was detailed on the next screens.Brandolyn B.

Location was essentially a junk yard. My biggest problem, however, was the fact that the UHaul application took me almost 30 minutes to get approved after I uploaded all of the requested information. I tried to call the toll free number and was put on hold the entire time. So, it took a half hour for me to wait to get approved. Very frustrating.Eric Y.

The employee was late. They showed up at 9:05 when our reservation was for 9am. Then the computer was running updates so they could not rent the truck to us until it was done. We sat there for an hour and 20 minutes before they were able to rent us the truck. Messed up our entire day and was completely unacceptable.Leann C.

Your app wouldnt send pictures on the first try, it took multiple attempts when i picked the truck up. And when dropping off, pictures wouldnt send at all. i had to call when i got home. If youre going to offer the app as a service, it should work. Minimally, i should be able to talk to a representative in the app if it wont send pictures when dropping the truck off.Matt V.
Was overcharged for gasoline by 3 gallons - I only drove 64 miles and added 4 gallons of gasoline just before I returned the vehicle. The gas mileage should have been about 15 mpg. It looks like I was overcharged. I will be calling UHaul customer service and disputing this overcharge as well as disputing this entire charge with my credit card company.jason W.
I would like to add 2 notes: First, I made a reservation and went to a separate location - only to find out that the business was closed, and have the owner yelling at me as though I should've known. Regarding the Knox Auto Repair location, it seemed a bit sketchy. It's not the kind of place you want to show up by yourself.Jesse N.

I rented a cargo van and picked it up on a Thursday afternoon. Knox made the process painless and the vehicle performed well over the next 5 days. I dropped it off after business hours by simply locking the van and leaving the keys in their drop box. The next morning I received the final invoice via email. I recommend renting from Knox and plan to use them for our future van/truck rental needs. Merci!Tom B.

It wasn't the location of the drop off so much as me receiving a message that I failed to return equipment despite me calling the customer service number the next day after I dropped the van off as well as me having to physically go to the location to speak to someone at Uhaul to confirm drop off. Location was hard to find even on GPS with proper address. Would be good to give a landmark of where to turn off Dekalb pike. That's the only reason for not giving excellent rating (as drove 15 miles out of way up and down dekalb pike to find it and that added to overage miles!). My original reservation 27250154 was for a 20ft truck. when I arrived at the location, they did not have my truck. Richard, the employee at the Philly Self Storage contacted the 1-800 number for Uhaul and asked to find me a new location for pick up. I was told that there would be a 20ft truck in Willow Grove, PA at 4:30pm. I was not able to wait until 4:30 as my brother was arriving at 10:30am to help me pack up the uhaul and drive it back to MI. Also, the storage unit that I had my stuff at closed at 7:00pm. I would not have been back to Philly until 5:30/6:00 and we would not have had time to load up the stuff from the storage units. I asked Richard why I received a voicemail and email stating that the truck was ready for me to pick up when they did not have the truck. He told me that it he had to tell me that the truck was ready as part of the standard Uhaul response since I had a reservation. So, he had to tell him that they had a truck when they truly did not. He then told me that I should have called him back and spoke to him (after he left me the confirmation voicemail) and that he would have told me at that time that he actually did not have the truck. I called Budget, Penske and several other Uhaul locations and was not able to find a 20ft or larger truck. I was finally able to secure a 15ft truck from this Uhaul location in King of Prussia (40 mins from Philly). The person at this location was pleasant and provided good service. I also tried to reserve a trailer and was told that this location had a trailer, which they did not. The computer was wrong again. Due to not having the right size truck, I now have to buy a one way ticket back to Philly, rent another 10 or 15ft truck, and drive back to Michigan with the remaining items that I was forced to leave in Philly.
