The self check in process was lengthy and not easy to navigate. I would definitely review all the materials prior to pick up as the employees on site did not assist or help with any questions.

William SchaperCustomer should be told that this location is closed on Sunday. If they want to rent a truck or a van the operator they talk to when they call should be able to give them the code to activate the box to get the key. I highly doubt I will rent from U-Haul again. The person we dealt with on Monday was very nice and helpful. Him I would give five stars.

Ashley AldenWhen renting a 6'x12' trailer, I was unaware that the gate had an opening that took space up on each side of the ramp so that the item I was hauling WOULD NOT FIT in the trailer! I never even thought that the opening wouldn't be anything other than the size mentioned in the rental info. So I rented a $50 trailer that I could NOT use due to the ramp not being the size it was advertised to be! VERY frustrating and a waste of our time and money. It needs to say the OPENING NOT the inside trailer space! Useless. Staff was great and rental was easy. Just poor information about the trailer up front.
Melanne BangWhat's the point of no contact or skip the line when still had to wait for keys, the u haul had a bunch of scratches compared to the photos they tried to say we're all good, had to retake all photos and was very timely process, online is not convenient at all
Kyle EricksonIt would be a great idea to make sure the rentals are maintained. My rental had a light on stating L RR tire pressure was in need of attention When we told the man at the counter he stayed that's just a sensor. We were concerned but trusted him. By the time we drove to our loading sight the front left tire looked low. We put air in the tire 2 times that day before returning the truck. We did not bother to address this issue with drop off. I felt like safety was not taken into account at the location in Mason City. Very disappointed. I have used this sight before. Seems like change is needed to ensure the safety of customers and all the people they encounter on the road.

alexis mooreNothing. Travis was very helpful. The one thing I would recommend is if the equipment is not available at the location selected by the customer - say so. I was planning on picking up the truck at one location and found out I had to go across town to pick it up. Your customer service rep, who was very nice by the way, added miles for that, but it was extra time I hadn't counted on.
Richard BahlmannLoaded, hauled, and unloaded a Honda Aspencade. Everything went smoothly and with six strap hooks barely any movement of bike going down the road. This is the way to move a big bike.
Dave JohnsonI tried a 48hr rental and the equipment was unavailable. I rented for 24hrs and now am being charged for 48hr and the return time is 2 different times on the wrong day. I am not paying for a rental and late fee that I never incurred
Bobbi BaconIt took ten minutes for the person to get to me to check me in. Then I had to wait another 20 minutes for another guy to come out to hook me up. He never did so the check in person did it. At another U Haul I have used many times the check in person works with you until you are hooked up. My main complaint is that I had to drive 45 minutes out of my way to get the trailer spend 35+ minutes getting it and 45 minutes back to start my journey. Then I had to waste another 2 hours getting it back by 10pm which was ridiculous to start with. Normal rentals are for 24 hours. Also U Haul told me my trailer would be in Osage since Charles City had no inventory. Then U Haul called two hours later telling me that no, it would be in Mason City. They didn't seem to know I had already been called. And no one would guarantee me the trailer so I didn't know if it would even be there. Not a way to run a business.

Debora JohnsonWell u can start by not lying to the customer when u order a 9 ft van and they give u a 8ft and tell me that's the largest they have , then the next day yiu have a 9ft van available. Then while I'm trying to get a few blankets for oacking another employee taller guy did the hitler salute 3 times and said we follow the rules around here which was very awkward then he looked down and knew that he said the wrong thing. Then the van had blood on the seat. This is gross and ver unacceptable and should never happen to me or anyone .very Racist people at the Kramer ace uhaul in mason city iiwa.
Steven MillerTook me over an hour to get our truck. I was supposed to pick the truck up at 9am but didn't actually get a truck until 10am. But yet I was still required to return my truck by 9am the following day bc it was rented to someone else. I was charged $14 for 2 dolly carts that weren't even on the truck we rented. So $14 wasted. Absolute horrible experience. We will not be back.

Les WulfMirror on driver's side was falling off, we had to duck tape it to keep it on. Truck had not been cleaned out. Brakes needed to be repaired. Overall worst experience ever with uhaul.

Rachel WilsonTrailer was not swept out when I picked it up and I only hauled two plastic wrapped rolls of carpet and was charged a cleaning fee of $15 which is absolutely ridiculous for me to pay for the dirt in pieces that were in there when I picked it up, I've rented hundreds of U-Haul's and never been charged a cleanup fee. Freaking ridiculous for me to pay for someone else's dirt as it wasn't clean when I got it. Larry
Larry HrubesWhen renting your uhaul I was told that bringing the truck back with the fuel being between 5/8 to 3/4 would be sufficient. I put 2 gallons of gas in prior to returning the vehicle, l which returned the needle to the requested area for return. Once the vehicle was returned, I was charged for an additional 2 gallons. I called the hardware Hank I rented the vehicle from and expressed my concerns. I was met with the resistance of not charging me the additional amount. As your gas gauges are not digital, it leaves a large room for human error. If you are requesting your costumers to be precise, you need to have equipment that will produce this precision or bare the brunt of the of the human error involved. I've rented your vehicles in the past as they seem to be the most competitive number, but I will be reluctant to use your company in the future. I would request you look into the matter and return the funds I was charged for the additional gasoline. My contact information should be on the contract however I'll provide my number again here.
