I scheduled the pickup for a location 5 minutes from my house when they called the day before to confirm they told me that my pickup location had to be in cedar Hill which was an additional 30 minutes away from my house. Once I got to that cedar Hill location the check-in was ridiculous. I had been told the day before by the lady who called to confirm my reservation that I was going to be allotted an additional 35 extra miles so that I wouldn't go over my mileage with having to go out of my way to pick up the U-Haul. She didn't know that into the system so the woman who was trying to complete my check in at the location in cedar Hill had to call the U-Haul service to have my contract amended. They amended it incorrectly and the lady at the cedar Hill location became so frustrated that she told me I had to do it myself. So I stood in the cedar Hill location and had to call the U-Haul check in to have my contract amended. I have used U-Haul several times over the years and this is the worst experience I've ever had. I wasn't offered anything except for the additional mileage which I had to fight for. I should have been given a large discount with the additional over an hour I had to be at the pickup location. That was an additional 2 hours that was wasted of my time.

I Was switched from the 10' truck to the 15' truck. And I saw a number of 10' trucks around town but could not figure out in the app how to change the pick up location

This location was wonderful and worked with us to actually get the equipment that we reserved over 2 weeks in advance. She was kind, helpful, competent, and the silver lining of the giant headache that was this Uhaul rental experience. Story time: The day before our reservation, as we were mid drive from South Carolina to Missouri (where we were picking up this Uhaul and my mother in law to move her closer to us), we received a call stating the equipment that we reserved (17 days ahead of time) was not available from the location we originally selected and we could either drive an additional 20 miles away the (Saturday) morning of our reservation or pick up the day of the call (Friday) from this location before 5 pm CDT (estimated GPS arrival time to the area of 7 pm CDT). We were left in very stressful situation, but eventually had it worked out that someone else could pick up the trailer that (Friday) morning. Corporate set a reservation for 10 am, which I found out was actually what time this location opened when I tried to call to pay ahead of time (which I had explained to corporate that I would need to do as the card on file for the reservation had been compromised and replaced within the 17 days the reservation had been outstanding) so that my extremely helpful in-law would not have to arrive at the location (where he was already doing us a HUGE favor because of Uhaul corporate incompetence) AND pay for a 4 day trailer rental. I told him to hold off until I was able to pay ahead of time over the phone, got in touch with this location within 10 minutes of their opening time, the very kind lady who runs this location was WONDERFUL and very helpful. After paying over phone (while in the middle of Tennessee by this time with spotty reception in the mountains), I called to ask my in-law to proceed to the location. Just as he was arrived there beginning the process to pick up the trailer, I was contacted by Uhaul corporate again threatening to CANCEL my reservation if it wasn't picked up by 11:45 (was 10:45 at this point). The person I spoke to on the phone pushed back the "reservation" to 12:45, then told me if he wasn't there by then and if she wasn't there personally to stop them or I didn't call back to push back the time again it WOULD be canceled and said (in what I took at the time to be a fairly snarky tone) that *THAT IS THE POINT OF A RESERVATION AFTERALL*. At that moment, driving through Tennessee around 4 hours into a 12 hour drive and 3 hours into trying to find a constructive solution for UHAUL corporate's utter failure at a business model (like seriously, if you have the equipment nearby and someone has a reservation for said equipment why on Earth is it on the customer to solve the logistical problem of picking up on another day or location when you're the company making money on it and the reservation has been made over 2 weeks in advance?) I restrained myself from explaining that I did IN FACT understand what a reservation was while I very much doubted they had a freaking clue at this point. In the end, we got the trailer we paid for because we were fortunate enough to have someone who could pick it up for us a day early, fortunate enough to be able to work with someone understanding and helpful at the actual rental location, and it all worked out, but if there is absolutely any way that I can possibly avoid dealing with Uhaul again in the future for anything that has rigid requirements on pickup location/date/equipment I will just to avoid dealing with the headache.

I got a call the night before we were supposed to pick the truck up, to one of the customer service people telling us we would have to drive 30 minutes out of the way to get the truck because the location we picked didn't have the truck available. Next time, I would appreciate being told this more than 12 hours in advance. We had to use more gas on the U-haul, wake up earlier to figure out how to get it figured out, and it was just completely out of the way. Plus, the lady we talked to on the phone was very disrespectful

being I am a military veteran and a senior citizen I would have appreciated getting a discount for the rental of the Uhaul trailer but I did not get a discount for either.

Truck was great- rental price of truck was acceptable- mileage rate was extensive ($1,09 per mile) and because of the mileage rate I will shop your competitors before renting u-haul again.

When I made my reservation online I deliberately selected no insurance I was only towing a truck 73 miles I didn't need it was an old truck. When I showed out to pick up the trailer the system had changed my selection to adding the insurance? that's a scam U-Haul should not do that to people if I wasn't paying attention I would have had to pay for the insurance. because of the suggestive selling of the clerk I went ahead and got it but felt pressured but now I regret it because realizing that U-Haul scammed me by altering my selection after I made the reservation. The reservation when it's made online I should get a copy of all the things I checked but I don't so the U-Haul computer system is programmed to add on the insurance even though you didn't want it. If I wasn't paying attention I would not have caught it.

This is the only location to rent UHAULS in the area. When I originally called to place the order, it took them 3 days to respond. When I placed the order online and did the speedy check in, getting the truck still took 40 minutes.

I dropped off during off hours, I was concerned because it was a pawn shop and I was searching for the drop box at 4 am, and it was dark, the drop box was on the opposite side of the building and behind a post.

They didn't have the size truck I asked for was charged extra money for the one that was there. I put $20 in fuel right before I took it back and was charged extra for fuel ?

Did drop off before this location was open.. Little confusing at first on where the drop off box was but we located it. No real 1 on 1 interaction with anyone when returning the truck. Did go by later in the day to make sure everything was alright and person was very helpful and reassuring that everything was great.
