Dropped off after hrs

"Ladders and Things" seems to be a storage location, and is not actively occupied with anyone to assist with pickup or drop off. The truck I reserved was there but the keys were unavailable (still in the drop off lock box), and the furniture dolly I requested was not in any of the vehicles there. I had to spend an hour on the phone with customer service to get the keys for the other truck at that location and change my reservation over the phone with the representative. I would HIGHLY suggest picking up from a different location.

The U-Haul truck we rented came from another location to their location earlier that day. The U-Haul was clean; however, I believe it had an undetected fuel leak on their property before I picked it up since the contract said it had a 1/4 tank gasoline, but it was on empty when we got the keys. The representative was surprised as well and took a picture but did not investigate while we were there why it was not 1/4 of a tank. I had to drive it directly to the nearest gas station. The truck was loaded the next morning and sat for two days. When we went to move it, there was a significant fuel leak and gas sprayed everywhere. This should not reflect on Ladders and Things since they are not responsible for the vehicles. U-Haul in general is responsible for maintaining the equipment. I rated them below average because they are obviously new, and the technician was not very familiar with the program to rent the equipment and it took an extremely long time to fill out the paperwork. As a result, I got my second U-Haul the next day from another location due to the delay. The other location took less than 10 minutes to fill out the paper work vice more than an hour. Once they are properly trained and have more experience, I am sure they will be fine. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
