I think the whole EXCELLENT experience was mostly due to Marie!! She made the whole experience comfortable due to the following reasons: -she answered all of my questions -she offered the required information of things I did not ask -she has an EXCELLENT customer service attitude (and funny)!! -she called back promptly for questions -she had all of my requested items (floor dolly, applicance dolly, and blankets) waiting for me (at time of requested rental). overall, VERY Happy!! I will DEFINITELY rent from Uhaul again (because of Marie). Thank you!!

Marie was very nice and understanding in the office. Do Not rent a compartment container if you don't want your furniture ruined. Sealed containers only. My dresser had to be disposed of due to a lot of mold and swelling. Get a climate controlled unit!

The location, specifically Marie, went above and beyond. However, i will never use UHauls remote check in because it was a complete failure. Ridiculous that as I'm pulling up to pick up my vehicle after hours, that UHaul would expect me to have my passport, a lease agreement (for me a mortgage) or my employer info for UHaul to contact and verify who i am. Mind you, this was 8:00 at night and i work for a huge corp where even if it were during business hours, it's HR dept is extremely busy. If it weren't for Marie at the location, i would never have gotten my truck.

A U-Haul app did not perform at this location which was not staffed with a person. It was difficult to get the keys to the truck and I could not even get into the gate to return the truck. Luckily somebody was leaving so I was able to get through the gate but still unable to complete the check in process of returning the truck. Very stressful and to a very stressful day.

The online check-in process - which is UHaul, NOT this location, was terrible. Even though I'd uploaded photos of my DL the day before, I had to go through that process ON MY PHONE once we got there. I took over 30 minutes to get through the check-in. I would NEVER use the self-checkin again.

A very good value for the money to rent the space. Staff was very helpful and friendly. When I need to rent storage in the future I will be returning to Lake County Storage of Round Lake Heights. Great palce and a great price!

Marie was great at getting all of our details together for my son's move and storage needs. She was very helpful and kind. The truck was old and we had some issues getting it started at times throughout our trip. Eventually it would turnover, but it took a couple tries to get it to start.

Since this is a gated location, we didn't know how to get in until we actually initiated the pick up/return processes. The site office closed even earlier than the posted hours, so we were unable to call and ask anyone. It was incredibly stressful and frustrating not knowing how we would get back on to the lot to return the truck.

I raised some concerns about some scrapes, scratches and little dents on the truck and passenger mirror to the manager upon picking it up. I was told to approve the vehicle regardless. Glad I took photos

They somehow allow for after hours drop offs, but it's a gated complex and no way to get in after hours unless you have a storage unit with a gate code. The fact that I tried dropping off the truck after hours and couldn't and had to bring it back home was a complete waste.

Your online pickup system sucks. It took an hour to work through and finally get it to work and pickup the truck. If this is the experience all customers have using this program, you should get it fixed.

Next time tell the customer that there is a 20 dollar after hours fee especially if they ask if they can drop it off after hours....instead of saying yes, say yes and it will be 20 dollars to do so.

Using the app to return the truck is not too bad. Using the app to pickup a truck was fairly cumbersome last time I used it. Seems like it was a bit overkill on the verification (such as having another person to call). Would be nice if you could just gather enough info before arriving to pickup that the actual pickup could go faster. I think from now on I'll just plan on picking up when the place is open and then return it when I need to. Using the app for the pickup actually makes it harder than just going there when the place is open.

First off, when choosing the facility online they do not tell you if the actual facility will be open on the day you have the reservation. The process of receiving the access code to the facility was confusing, you need to start the pickup process before you can get into the facility even though you dont have access to the truck yet. You need to write down the access code to the facility because it doesn't give it to you again when atarting the dropoff process. After dropping off the truck there was no way to exit facility due to no one being on-site, the only way the gate opens to exit is if you are in a vehicle so i would have been stuck behind a barbed wire fence all night if someone had not driven up in a car. I would not recommend this facility to anyone.

I made a reservation for 1130am at the lakemoore location. 3 days before my move I was told that my reservation was moved to the McHenry location. I showed up to pick up my 17 foot truck. To be told that I can't get it until 530pm. I wasn't given a straight answer for why my 1130am reservation got moved to 530pm. Ended up getting sent to the round lake beach location to get a cargo van.... so yeah went from a 17 foot truck that was reserved at one location to a cargo van 3 location's later. I will never use uhaul again. Or recommend then to anyone.

Remind the customer to ask and take note of the code to open the gate of the facility. This will help prevent delay in returning the rental. I suggest using the U-Haul app. I used the U-Haul app to pick up and return the rental. The app is easy to use and makes the whole process pleasant. This was my experience. When I picked up the rental, I did not need the code because the gate was open. When I returned the rental, the gate was already closed (after office hours). I had to call the U-Haul customer service number for assistance. After explaining what I need to the first U-Haul customer rep, I was requested to hold so the rep can find out. While I was waiting, the call was disconnected. I had to call again. I was informed by the second U-Haul rep (Jennifer - was pleasant to talk to) that their office does not have the code and that she needs to transfer me to U-Haul 24/7. Once I was connected, I was immediately given the code which enabled me to enter the facility and return the rental. These series of calls would not have been needed had I had the code.

Rented from one location. Person from that location called to let me know truck came back in and will be available for me to pick up. Then uhaul corporate called later that day and left me a message that my original location was not a 24/7 and I had to get my truck from another location. The hours of operation were exactly the same as the original location. This added unnecessary miles to my rental. When I went to pick up my truck the so said I did not have a reservation even though I had confirmation emails. Through your chat feature I spent about half an hour to finally get the codes to get in the facility. They said the problem was that I did not pick up the truck at 8pm. The start of my 24hr rental. I feel the reservation should be kept open the full 24hr time I rented the truck. This caused undo aggravation and time to my move.

There was no one onsite! Which sucks when you have to have an access code to enter the property and the 34 1/2' long truck is sticking out into a busy road. Luckily a patron of the facility arrived shortly after I did and gave me his code to enter the facility. Too bad no one was onsite to check in the vehicle. It was a shit experience.

We had a 9 AM reservation. The location was supposed to open at 9 but no one showed up until 10 AM. Then I was on 24/7 share or something like that, so once I could get into the location I had to go through that process to rent the truck and also go through the same process when I returned it. It's a hassle having to go around and take pictures of , myself, my license, etc. to rent the truck. then when I return the women sitting behind the desk just sits there and tells me to use the app to check the truck back in. So I have to go back out and take pictures of the mileage, gas level, and multiple truck interior pictures before I can check out. No point having a human there if they can't show up on time, and when they are there just tell you to go do it yourself. Bad experience overall.

if I did not inspect trailer I would have been charged for a missing light lense entire housing. After waiting for the installer to install new lense.... it fell out 200 miles later because he used too small of screws! I was not told the wiring harness was short and I must pick up my own adaptor to have lights!
