Horrific experience. I made this reservation 3 weeks ago and the day before the move my pickup location was changed which added an extra hour. The truck was dirty in the back and had garbage in the front. Then the gas light turned on immediately. Also, I received a message that my drop off location was abruptly changed adding more stress to the move. I don't understand why I booked this 3 weeks ago if everything got changed last minute. Unless I receive some sort of compensation I will never use this service again as I have another move planned in 8 months.

Neville OWe'll, it's funny. My husband doesn't care for country music, and said his whole trip, that was all he got on the radio. Me I am a fan of country music, so I couldn't help laugh at the fact. The truck came from Arizona, that said the tires on the truck, don't do well here in December weather, that as a dealer should be considered a safety issue. Overall, we would recommend U-Haul.

Bruce Minteriror of truck box was dirty and the two fellows who managed the place were not sociable at all nor accommodating at all. They were very interested in grabbing my money but not much else. They made uhaul look poorly in my eyes

Sammy GThere were live cockroaches scurrying around in the moms attic of the truck, and it was filthy. I had an awful experience with the owner of this location and he was apathetic and refused to help me out until I called U-Haul and got a different truck. I had a moving company on the clock and this guy made me waste an hour and a half and hundreds of dollars as a result, and he was difficult and rude the entire way. Never using U-Haul again if I don't get compensated fairly.

Paul MRented a large truck several months ago to go to the same location and had it for 2 days. Had a small truck this time and went to the same location same distance, had the truck for 3 hours and was charged more than the first rental. Questionable!!!!!!!!!! Annoyed!!!!!!!

eddie dI could have used help hitching and unhitching. I rented the biggest enclosed trailer and the hitch is very heavy for an old man to lift on and off the car. These trailers need a front stand with a wheel to help move the whole thing to align it.

Victoria WWhile not this locations fault, I reserved a 6x12 unit from Port Elgin 2 weeks earlier. At the time the 6x12 trailer was available. The day prior to rental pickup I was notified the unit was no longer available and the nearest location for the size was in Owen Sound. Approximately 1 hour plus further drive. Apparently, using the reservation system isn't worth the time. I had to accept a smaller size from a closer location.
ROBIN KStaff was great to deal with. Only thing is that everything was done behind a very tall counter. So it was difficult to hear and see what was happening. Besides that they are very friendly. And answered all my questions.
William PI asked for a 15 footer. But the only 15 footer was being repaired. I was given a 10 footer for the same price. I was not able to move all my furniture and I have to reschedule another day to finish my move. This is an out of town move. Additionally, truck was marked to have 3/4 of a tank on the contract but had 5/8 only once I turned it on. The uhaul website kept glitching when I tried to upload a picture of the fuel level. So I could not even report the accurate fuel level and had to pay extra for gas. I want to be refunded for this. This was a terrible experience.
Fadi RI reserved a truck in Goderich. It wasn't there. I then had to look up the nearest truck and go get it. AND there wasn't an appliance cart AND the dozen blankets were wet. What kind of gong show isn't ready for a reservation?! This won't happen again because I will never ever rely on this company. Sadly this happened to me about 20 yrs ago. I shouldn't have been optimistic to do a second attempt. Shame on the lack of organization.

bradley eSince the trucks are in miles and not kilometers, the u haul website should change this to reflect that. Instead of showing the price per km, ($0,89) it should show the price per mile, ($1,41) which is what you're charged. Or at least show both, and let people know they will be charged per miles.

David HThe interior of the 10' truck was filthy and disgusting. No cleaning was performed at all from the previous user. There was remnant garbage in the passenger door and every coffee cup holder was sticky with remnant liquids.

RUTH CThe vehicle had been smoked in! I smelled like smoke by the time I brought it back and I was wearing a mask I could still feel the effects I my lungs. I am a lung cancer survivor for two years now so this was a terrible experience for me. Returning the key at 10pm I expected the store to be opened but it wasn't and it was very dark and isolating for a woman as I was there for over 5 minutes because the key did not fit easily into the return box. I had to take it off the ring and force it in. The gentle men in the store did not seem to care one iota about any of the issues I raised they just said it's all up to Uhaul. So I wasn't overly impressed at all.
cathrine yDifficult check in. Staff didn't seem actually interested in helping us. The trailer travel plans changed part way thru the trip from one way to round trip. Drop off refused to allow drop and was useless in solving the issue. We ended up having to return twice together trailer dropped off , after leaving the first time and resolving the issue on our own and then returning to drop off a second time. Between the hassles and extra gas milage, it was not a good experience. The second time dropping was better and the staff more helpful, I can only assume different staff that were actually interested in helping.
