The customer service at Lakeview Suds was extraordinary.

The unit we rented was an American model with a speedometer calibrated in the obsolete miles/hour. The kilometre scale was unreadable in normal light. A note should be attached to the steering wheel to warn Canadian drivers of American vehicles that the speedometer reads mph not kmph. Otherwise, unwary drivers might unwittingly exceed local speed limits. Automatic running lights should be mandatory for all vehicles rented out.

U-Haul should make it mandatory for clients to reserve and pay online and the clients should wait their turn when arriving at a pick-up or drop off location. Everybody is in a hurry so if you snooze you should lose.

The trailer 6x12 mo park light no signal light and no proper maintenance and inspection.

Just do not understand why to make it harder when it comes to refill gas subjecting customers to try to hit such an odd level. It should be we picked up with full tank, it is returned with full tank. Plain and easy.

The location is in the back of a car wash, extremely icy and dirty from the car wash. The staff (max) was not efficient at the computer, he was friendly enough but just appeared not to be knowledgeable. He went and inspected the vehicle, which was clean, except for the exterior, which at no point were we advised to wash it prior to return. He focused on the cup holder, which was exactly as we had got it, that it was dirty , coffee drops from the guy before us. Easily could have been wiped, but he wanted to charge us as it was his job and he would get in trouble? The improvement here could be training in customer service and common sense. We left the vehicle with far more gas than we needed to and he threatened to charge us for what would be a quick wipe of a coffee holder. I am still shaking my head at the lack of thought on that. In the case this drop off point is of no value, as it takes far longer than driving across the city to drop off and it would be less stressful and far more efficient.
