The physical location of the business (building, grounds, etc.) could definitely use some renovation and curb appeal.

Heather HornI have rented small items at this location before with no problem. However on this occasion we needed a very large truck for a long distance move. The owner of the location continuously told us that he could not guarantee us a truck at all, let alone a truck the size we needed. We agreed to take a smaller truck and still were unsure if we were going to have it until three days before our big move. He was difficult to communicate with. He failed to provide us with additional moving supplies that we requested. And repeatedly informed us that U-Haul as a company treats him poorly and is trying to shut him down because he is in such a rural area. Very unprofessional.

West Beverlydriver side fender was only held on by one bolt. fender fell partially onto the road as i was driving home. fixed it when home by replacing the bolt. also driver side strap tightener slipped a lot.
RAYMOND BARNESVery small old gas station with no room really to drop off a 26' Uhaul. Hard to find the drop box for the keys. Because of the small parking area, we had to park in front of the other two trucks right alongside a busy main road.

Gregory BurnshawI was to pick the truck up in Westfield Sat. morning at 9 after 2 hrs of phone calls and waiting I was told to pick it up at 1:30 in Galeton. Went to Galeton and no one was there, called the phone number I was given and told the truck was in Gaines. Finally got the truck which was very nice but because of all the time changes I lost my help to load it, I was also promised a $50 discount which I did not happen either. I was already stressed and this just added a whole lot more stress.

joseph zurloI have always used U-Haul as my company moves me around a great deal and always get maximum value for my dollar with U-Haul. the only improvement that would help would be to pack, load and unload for me, (that would be a great help)
Daniel BlackwellThe windshield was filthy, there were potato chips in the cab. I found a chip in the windshield when cleaning it, promptly notified the supplier and the drop-ff location. The left rear inside tire was flat which jeopardized the entire trip (200 plus miles). Informed Fricke's hardware of the flat tire also. Chose this location mainly for convenience.
Terry NauWe returned the truck by the appointed time. There was no one at the location and the vehicle was not moved from where we parked it for 4 days!!!! There is never anyone at this location. In fact, the trailer that we rented 3 weeks prior was still in the same location where we left it!!!!
John RogersYou need to find another drop-off location/vendor for the Galeton area. This person [Larry?] was not there and would not answer the telephone number provided. There was no one available at this location to assist in unhooking the trailer or direct traffic [this is on US Route 6 and is very busy; it could be a safety issue in the future]. This person, in my opinion, does not live up to the U-Haul expectations/policies.

geoff mazurEvery time I have moved, I have used UHaul and have had an excellent experience!! This location is an anomaly, I am sure, but I feel that UHaul should know the way that this rural location is being managed because it does not represent their excellent customer service standards. Here is the short version of our story! We arranged a pick-up at this location well in advance for our move and arrived a few minutes early to pick up the truck. I wanted to pick up a truck much closer to home, but the size we needed was only available about 30 minutes away. The location does not have a staff member except by appointment, it appears, and the gentleman who owns the store was 25 minutes late for our pick-up. In addition, when we were ready to pay for the truck, he asked for my driver's license and card and instead of processing my information, he attempted to make a photocopy. I asked him why he needed a photocopy and he answered that he did not have internet at his store so he would take my information home with him and process the sale there. He said he would "burn" the photocopy, so my information would stay secure. While he appeared to be a nice man, I felt that this was an unprofessional interaction and that my private information was not being treated with care. In addition, the gentleman became visibly frustrated when I shared my concerns, which increased my hesitancy to rent a truck from his location. After going back-and-forth for one-and-a-half hours, I was finally placed in touch with someone at UHaul over the phone who could process my payment securely. I feel that I should have been notified with my reservation that this location could not process a payment and that UHaul should provide additional customer service training at this location.
