The inside of the truck was filthy. Full of animal hair, spilled soda, food pieces , and a mess. My husband had to clean it 3 times before it was acceptable. This should not have happened as the truck should have been inspected before the next rental. This took over an hour which resulted in us being behind to load and get on the road. Very disappointing. I was informed over the phone that a second driver could be added to the contract at the pick up location; we spent an hour trying to do so with no luck. The van was filthy- the kind man washed down the steering wheel for me when I asked him to (it was sticky), but a dog had been in the van and as soon as I hit the highway, dog hair was flying everywhere and sticking to my sunscreened legs. There was other trash (empty water bottles) in the vehicle as well. Really disgusting.

I called many times to change the drop off location well in advance. It was difficult to get in contact with anyone and multiple people rerouted me to other associates who rerouted me to more associates. I spent an hour on the phone just for the correct associate to not even try and solve my problem. This will be the last time I work with UHAUL

The person who helped me was very friendly and tried to be accomodating, but the location didn't have the furniture pads I requested, they neglected to provide/put on the chain/hook stays, and they weren't equipped to install a brake light converter - something I had to go to another UHaul location for last-minute and where they were surprised that the service wasn't offered.

My pickup time was 9, but I stood around waiting until 9:10 while one of the employees finished his cigarette outside. When he finally came in, the whole shop reeked. The van I was renting still had to be checked in & even though I was only using the rental for a few hours, the shop doesn't allow Uhaul customers to park onsite. I had to drive 3 blocks away to park my car. When I walked back, the van still wasn't ready. It was after 9:30 before I was on the road. The van had white pet hair in it that had not been cleaned & caused my allergies to flare up.

Disappointed that once again I requested pickup at the UHaul location near my house (1 mile). It was not available at the last minute and I was forced to drive 50 miles EACH WAY to pick it up! That's 100 miles and 2 hours of my time and gas money! There has to be a way to have a better guarantee for pickup/location. Or UHaul should deliver the unit to where the customer requested pickup. This is the 3rd uhaul rental I have had in 3 months, and all 3 had this issue. If I had another option, I would defnitely use someone else....

I had originally reserved the trailer at a location in Boulder. I was not happy I had to drive 20 min to get the trailer. But the real reason for the "no" recommendation - I told the agent at least three times that I needed to change the drop off location, and he still didn't do it. I had to call once I returned to MI, which didn't go real smooth, to get it changed. I tried on the website, but could not figure out how to do it.

First off, U-Haul changed my pickup location 1,5 hours before I was scheduled to pick it up. The new location was 30 miles away. Since it was so far, I didn't have time to pick it up that day before the location closed making me miss an evening to load my trailer before I had to move. The people at the pickup didn't install the safety chains and brake chains correctly. When I got to my final destination, the trailer had leaked and soaked 1/3rd of my belongings.

I had a car hauler reserved at 8:00am and no one showed up to work until 8:45. I hooked it all up myself. It took 15 minutes to check in even though I had already checked in online. My schedule was an hour off the rest of the day. The trailer was filthy and the ratchets were almost too stiff to use.

No formal check in. After I dropped it off, I was called a couple hours later by uhaul and asked if I dropped it off or I would incur extra charges. What the heck?

Hi, My contract said 33 149 miles I got in the truck and there were 33 219 answered the three questions and took photo of extra miles on contract photo. Went back inside to inform representative of extra miles said haven't heard of that before. I guess new contract with extra miles should have been completed, thought photo on contract would resolve issue guess not after call u haul.

The truck was dirty when I picked it up... Winshield with bugs all over it...crap on the floor and in the truck itself. When I returned the truck...I was charged an additional $25 cleaning fee...even though I cleaned out the truck better than I received it....! The owner would not take off the cleaning fee... He showed me pictures of another truck and the dirt that wasnt there... AWEFUL location.....AWEFUL service.... If you are "Always looking to give credit where credit is due".....please contact me...for a $25 refund. Please contact me...Bob Wheeler 781-856-3208

When I picked up the truck, the windshield had bugs all over it and trash was under the seat. It was obvious tht it was not cleaned. Upon starting the engine, there was a loud clicking noise that is indictive of an exhaust leak. The exhaust leak noise continued throughout the trip. While driving the truck from Longmont, Colorado to Austin, Texas the door had very loud road noise coming from the drivers side door. It appeared that the driver door seal was bad. Then, while driving, it began to rain and water came through the driver door. The agent at the U-Haul location was nice, but we were disappointed to be given a truck in that condition for a 900+ mile trip.

Ok! This might be the best representation of U-Haul, this really rude “gentleman” (Alberto Quiroz) yelled at me and hung up the phone like 5 times when I called him to ask for all this extra charges on my credit card. Really sad and deplorable costumer service offered by this human being.

This is a third party contracted company by U-Haul. When calling to verify the truck rental the company wouldn't guarantee the truck would be ready and available and said” lots can happen before you pick up the truck”… with movers booked, apartment contracts canceled and a new home purchased out of state, incompetents is the last thing you want to hear. I recommend exploring other companies before choosing U-Haul. Last of all, the truck was poorly maintained, dirty, and barely made it to the final destination….

The Longmont location was great however, our original pickup location (-Haul Moving & Storage of the Mile High City 7540 York St Denver, CO 80229) was nothing short of a nightmare. We arrived to pick up our truck, admittedly early because when I called uhaul I was told I could do this and was told my moving truck was not there. Apparently the person using my truck just did not return it and when called, the other customer said they wouldn't return it until the next day. The manager at the York St location was one or the rudest people I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. He essentially told me my truck wasn't there and I needed to call Traffic Department to get a new location. He was flippant and abrasive and I left very upset with him telling me "There's nothing I can do." Also calling Traffic resulted in a rep telling me the closest pickup to me was 4 hours away. Thank goodness I received a call back from Traffic letting me know they had a truck that was not 4 hours away magically. My pickup and reservation was completely unacceptable other than the actual Longmont location. As a whole, the experience with the York street location's manager has made me no longer want to utilize uhaul for future moving and storage needs.

dolly equipment missing. blankets dirty and piled up outside and was not the correct amount. No instructions what so ever about truck or that blankets had to be folded. Was charged 25 when I returned the vehicle because blankets were not folded.

The first place I was scheduled at, off 3rd & Boston, was run by a terrific guy! He was so kind & hospitable! The place I ended up getting the truck from was also a car dealership. There were 3-4 grown men sitting around with their feet on a coffee table but yet my truck wasn't even looked at. Not swept or even opened up, trash/dirty rags inside, bugs all over the front, dirty windows, dog hair throughout, & only half a tank of gas. I tried to do the "before you go" thing on my phone but it wouldn't upload the pics & then timed out. But, I was happy to have a truck regardless.

The employee was apologetic and upset for us after hearing about what the employee at our pickup location had said, and let us know that they are supposed to ask about mileage. She tried getting in touch with customer support for us, but they were just as unhelpful. This location was great, but our overall experience with uhaul has been exhausting, frustrating, and way more expensive than we had originally thought.

The woman who rented out and my the truck was very polite and friendly. She understood my dilemma of having to drive from Northern Loveland to Southern Longmont when I had reserved my truck two months ahead of time. I could have been told this on the phone when making the reservation.

Give more heads up when changing locations. I had to find a ride to a much further location with less than 1 day of notice. Also, maintain your equipment. The moving blankets were wet (mostly un-usable) and the truck was in poor condition. There was broken glass and soot inside. We had to clean the truck before we could even use it. I also had to wait for the location to open because the pick up got changed to in person instead of through the app.

Truck was full of dead bugs on windshield, cab was full of dog hair , when we picked it up , will not recommend or use uhaul again . Cost over 900 should have been clean and ready to go . Store reeked of smoke .

Reserved truck at a specific location and was told to go to a different location with no prior notice. When I received the truck the rest door was stuck shut. I had to drive it back to the store and get a new truck and the rear door was stuck shut as well. I then had to drive to another store to get help opening it. It turns out the paint had glued the door shut. This delayed my move by two hours

The lockbox at the return location was hanging completely open and unlocked. Had to return in the morning to return the key. Otherwise it was good.
