I phoned this location with no answer for over an hour to speak with someone right up to the time I arrived only to find the rep sitting there ignoring calls. She was rude, unfriendly, and had a poor attitude. Based on her treatment alone I would not use this location again. 1) The gas tank was not full before I picked up the van, I ended up filling 3 gallons upon driving 13 miles. 2) Your web page for returns does not work on an Android phone, the photos do not get uploaded correctly, it took me 30 minutes in freezing rain to finally complete the return using another phone 3) I reached the return location 5 minutes past 6pm, I could see the employee behind the locked glass door although he did not budge to helpParijat N.

this is my second van rental this year. Both times the van has been great and easy to use. I particularly like the split- view side mirrors which solve the blind spot issue. Both times I have been helped by Brittany - she does a fine job, is friendly, helpful, and explains things clearly. I will definitely return to Life Storage when I need to rent a van again, and hope Brittany will handle my rental.Stephen D.
Not blaming all on location, off hour pick up process is ridiculous. You should warn people how long it could take and that they may need to offer a first born child to get truck released. Truck itself was a wreckâ€¦ burned my foot the whole drive from the hot engine. Location is a messâ€¦ not sure if it's drugs or prostitutes, but couldn't believe the â€œtrafficâ€ at 11:30 drop off. The person in charge of the UHaul operation, Neal (Neil?) made renting the truck very easy and pleasant. He didn't allow me to waste my time trying to navigate the digital process but took care of my UHaul experience quickly and professionally. The whole experience was excellent. The only thing I think would improve the process would be to add some parking spaces for people who have to leave their cars--very few parking spaces available (although I was fortunate to get one).Paul S.

There is only one man working in the office so some people had to wait 20 minutes or 25 minutes to be helped. Poor management especially with it being Saturday which is the busiest day to move. I paid for two dozen furniture pads and they were not in the truck so I let the associate know and he told me that all he had was six pads. Would recommend because the staff was incredibly friendly and the truck was clean. However, I dealt with a horrible back-and-forth because the paperwork said the truck gas tank was full and it was not - it was at half. The mobile check/approvals allowed me to correct images of the truck and the mileage, but not correct the gas tank level. No one answered the phone when I called so I drove back about the issue. I was told to speak to someone at the dropoff location.Alice P.

I am not a us citizen, nor permanent resident. My reservation was rejected with reason - international driver license does not suit Uhaul, and I was being asked to provide state license id. I was told only state id will let approve my reservation and truck pick up. After spending 50 min at the counter and arguing that international driver license allow to drive legally in US, I managed to share a photo of my valid visa in addition to international driver license and it worked out. I was approved. Lost almost an hour prooving I am not an elephant and staying in us legally. I understand uhaul, they do not want to have troubles with non legal immigrants, but check if i have valid visa or not - should not take so long. Attendant at the counter was extremely nice and went above and beyond trying to help me.PAVLO S.

The self drop on line is too complicated and was never explained. Gas tank was not really full. I drove 18 miles and it took over 5 gallons to refill. Also hidden fee of 20 $not revealed until I was there to pick up truck. So 20 $rental cost 52 $plus the extra gas I gave you. P.S.: No parking space available for my car. Had to leave it in CVS parking lot across the street.Edward S.

Brittany Roberts was very helpful and friendly n the process. The vehicle was just what we needed and more comfortable than expected. The side mirror system provided good rearward visibility. Returning the vehicle was so easy, drop off the keys - the records system took it from there. I will be a return customer when I need to move large items. Merci!Stephen D.

Your mobile check in and check out is the worst user-experience I've encountered through any digital service in a very long time, by such a wide-spanning market-dominant brand. I get the sense, this is no inadvertent happenstance, but rather the product of dark design considering multiple observations I made on front end and back end. When you consider the potential advantage posed to U-Haul when a large sum of customers fail to complete these processes properly, in form of applicable fees and/or unintended payment of said fees, it becomes clear that dark acquisition of invalid but in despicable revenue is, indeed, the objective to be gained. Only my opinion. For if any capable and earnest company executive were to actually pay mind to their product and service, and observe or personally experience what this experience is like for customers. they'd never in a million years INTEND for their customers to have it. You want details? No. You know exactly what's wrong with it. If I thought U-haul might truly take my comment seriously, and perhaps make an effort to fix anything based on my survey entry, I'd provide more actionable feedback. However, based on U-haul's current user-experience, and the repulsive and perilous state in which my vehicles engender every time I use U-hail, it's become crystal clear that U-haul has little if any interest in providing a service valuable to customers. U-haul's mission is undoubtedly revenue, which is not a crime. It is the pathetic and condemnable cost-cut approach with no regard for the customer that I think is worth reporting to the Better Business Bureau.Andrew S.

I give the facility that housed the truck 3 stars but U-HAUL gets ZERO stars. Reserving a truck with U-Haul was a nightmare. I spent at least 3 hrs on hold in the days before moving to confirm my truck, attempt to upgrade to a larger truck, cancel a BOGUS reservation that showed up on my account with a pickup location I wasn't even able to access, cancel movers they never confirmed and getting extremely unhelpful and inappropriate responses from a scheduling associate the day before my move. I placed an order for a 10ft truck and movers on 10/4 for a 10/31 moveâ€"over 3 WEEKS in advance. The week leading up to the move I realized I had never been contacted by the movers, America's Best Movers in Pennsylvania. I called and texted, but received no response. When I called U-Haul, they were unapologetic to the fact that I had to book new movers days before with last minute rates. After booking new movers I called U-Haul requesting an upgrade to a larger truck. The upgrade was confirmed on 10/29. Finally some good news, right? NOPE. On 10/30, the storage facility holding the truck called me shortly afterwards explaining that they gave the 15 ft truck to another customer and had NEVER received my original reservation for a 10ft truck. Keep in mind I booked this over 3 WEEKs prior. I spent the next 2 hrs on hold with U-Haul scrambling to find a new truck, being transferred to more and more holding time. I finally reached a very rude scheduling associate and was told that â€œIt's a moving company and the end of the month-This is what happens. We can't guarantee that you will have a truck.â€ She was referring to my truck order never being received despite placing it 3 weeks ago and trying to find a new truck. This is NOT what happens. The associate then told me that the manager was gone for the day and I could be placed on hold for customer service if I wished to speak with someone. Great idea, I'll waste another hour on the phone to complain about an unsympathetic and rude associate. NOPE. I ended up getting in the car and driving over to the storage facility to reserve the truck in person. All in all, U-Haul was very inconsistent and difficult to work with: Movers that never responded and a truck reservation that was never received. If I hadn't been able to physically go reserve the truck in person hours before the move, I would have been screwed. On top of the normal stress of moving, U-Haul did nothing to make the move easier. Would NOT recommend using again, just book through a storage place or another company.Ann B.
