I will absolutely not recommend ANYONE to rent from a place other than an actual uhaul store. I rented this uhaul from a gas station (Lucky stop gas station in Michigan city). 1 the gas station attendant forgot to give me my equipment she. 2 she did not walk with me to inspect the equipment. 3 the 15ft uhaul truck had a pile of horse shit in the back. The folks didn't even inspect the truck to make sure it was clean before renting it to the next customer. 4. The gas station attendant argued with the owner for about 15 minutes about the truck not being clean which pushed back my moving service. 5. They did provide me with a new truck however the truck was one notch up from empty. 6 I was supposed to receive half a dozen furniture pads and only received 4. I should have know better than to continue with my rental from that gas station 6. The owner of the gas station "apologized" for the dirty rental & asked if I'd like to receive a free fountain drink???? As if giving me a free fountain drink would resolve the issues i faced. I do NOT recommend renting from this uhaul station. I will be contacting my FI.

The women that assisted me for pick up and drop off were professional, polite, kind and helpful! This is the second time I have rented from this location and would continue to rent from them. They are clear and precise with the information and instructions! Thank you! I would also recommend this location to friends and family. They keep their equipment and vehicles in very good clean condition!

The woman who started my rental treated me very well. Lucky Stop is a neighborhood gas station/convenience store, and on Saturday morning, she had to deal with several quick sales to my neighbors while she wrangled my paperwork. She's the reason I rate this experience as "Excellent"-grace under pressure. The return phase went well too, but the site is so small and busy that I had some concerns maneuvering that big truck to top off the gas tank, and then to park it behind the building. All's well that ends well, though.

If I absolutely needed to I would rent here again if I had to. It was just confusing at first. I thought I was renting from the location on the boulevard so I showed up there. The pick up destination was a couple miles away at the "lucky stop", in an alley behind a gas station, so… I was also told over the phone and by email that I was upgraded to a 20ft uhaul for free instead of the 15ft I reserved since they ran out. There was no upgrade so another interesting addition to the experience. All in all the job got done and there was no hassle so who am I to complain. Just an odd ordeal Truck was clean but not clean clean. Handled well. 7,8 experience overall

Went to 2 other locations and they didn't have any trucks. The gentleman at Lucky Stop assisted me with the rental process and I was on my way in about 15 minutes. He went out of his way to make sure I got a truck and I truly appreciate it. If ever I need another rental, Lucky Stop will be my first choice.

Lady at the gas station that helped me with my rental was awesome! There was some issues with the system during check out, but the lady got everything fixed. The truck helped save a lot of time and trips to the storage unit, and will end up using a truck again in the future!

The overall experience was terrible. The app is hard to use and asked me for everything twice. The original pick up location didn't have a key and this was a secondary location. I ended up being 2 hours late for my move.

Neither of the outside mirrors could be adjusted properly. The passenger side was so loose that it flipped out and was looking at the weeds and the side of the road, and the driver side was so tight I couldn't move it. I had to get out an allen wrench to fix the mirror so I could adjust them. The inside of the windshield was so filthy that I had to stop and clean the whole thing. I'm not sure what the dealer is supposed to do, but the truck had issues. The dealer himself was very pleasant and I enjoyed that part of the transaction

The service at this location was very good. I did not give an excellent rating because I have found the U-Haul on-line registration process to be time-consuming. The representative at this location was helpful in assisting me after I completed the registration with a few more steps. If U-Haul can improve the steps/flow that would be great.

Try to do the check-out online so you don't have to wait in line with all the convenience store customers. Great service despite the wait.

The location had a sign on the door to go "next door" which was a convenience store. The clerk, Amanda, was helpful but said I would get an email for my return but I asked for some kind of receipt and she said she could not give me one. I asked for a written note to say I had returned this particular truck and she said no that the owner would send me an email. This was on Wednesday at 3 pm and when I had not received an email receipt by Thursday, I called Pat's in Hurley talked to Mark & he called and got my receipt. It was stressful and weird that I was not given any type of proof that I had returned the truck. I took the picture of my mileage & gas tank level for the clerk! I asked if I could at least have her name and she did say her name was Amanda but she was not wearing a name tag!!This was just a stressful return!! I had fears that UHaul would say I never returned it! Luckily all was done properly but it made me think of the car rental problem a few years ago when people were issued arrest warrants for not returning their cars when indeed they had returned them & had proof, whereas, I was not given any paperwork on return. I tried to call UHaul on Wednesday afternoon to report this but I waited "on hold" for over 20 minutes with NEVER getting through to an operator! There is not an option to have them call you back! Communication by email is only positive if it is accurate & timely which was not the case for me.

I found your $19,95 claim extremely misleading, as I spent over $200 to rent one of your trucks for about 5 hours. The location and staff were great, but this smacks of bait and switch.

The girl that checked me in was very nice. Has a hard job doing rentals as gas station customers at the same time. It made my check in a little lengthy, but she was very good and helpful. I am short and a problem getting in the truck. She backed it for me to a curb so I could get in. Checkout was handled much quicker and got done in 15 minutes.

I am not complaining because I could have called and returned it sooner… but the truck's interior dashboard lights do not work at all. I had to follow someone at all time to know my speed. I had to keep it longer because I was doing most of my moving after work and it near dusk. The headlights are not very bright so I had to keep my brights on and the front was all sticky by the cup holders. It was definitely inconvenient but I did not have time to take it back or ask for a replacement. You should definitely look into it. Thanks!類

My biggest concern was that neither side mirror was adjustable-very big safety issue when traveling in town and down the highway. could barely see on my left and nothing on the right. my sister had to spot me when I was backing up. when I hit 55mph it felt like the truck was going to fall apart. when I got to 60 it seemed to smooth out. no lighted dashboard. My other issue is that I'm not a "techie" so doing all of this via my cellphone was a very stressful experience. If I use this company again I will find someplace that has in-person personnel to assist me with everything. The employee at the pickup location was very pleasant and tried helping me with the mirrors which she couldn't get adjusted either. it was clean

I made the reservation and no one was there that could help me the girl had to call the owner (Tony) and get his number and then had me call me on my cell phone so he could get my info. I brought it back 2 hours early with extra gas in it When I went in the next girl was beyond RUDE made me wait off to the side so she could wait on the line of people while the owner sat there and watched. When the line got down I got back in front of the counter and she told me again to go off to the side I explained I had to go she said she had to wait on other customers and if I would stop getting back in front of the counter she could get done. Then she said I could have left along time ago and she would have told me that if I didn't have an attitude if her. I was there for over 45 minutes for something she could do on the website from my reservation. I WILL NEVER USE THIS LOCATION AGAIN OR RECOMMEND IT AND I WILL MAKE SURE I TELL ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN OF MY EXPERIENCE

I rented a uhaul yesterday to move, the process was unnecessarily long. The man had me go on my phone to do the process when he had it set up already on his computer and watched me struggle to find how to do the rental form. Once he noticed I couldn't get it, he finally told me to come back to the computer, which already had everything pulled up … Now once I have the uhaul I accidentally hit the bottom mirror backing up hitting a pole ( I have cameras I can pull it back up ). Anyways, so the movers can pull my couch out (I have a picture of only what I did). Once I make it back for my drop off time, I let the man know he starts to get loud with me until I told him I paid the $14 for coverage. I leave to get back to the car and a Blonde hair white women, with a little bit of weight on her proceeds to try to make it seem like I hit the front of the uhaul also, because the back of the mirror and the front bumper had the same white marks ?? I don't understand how I hit the front the car backing up ? Makes send to any of you ? Today, I received my receipt email, that stated I refused to tell what happened.. This is me once again admitting to what I did and what actually happened. I had 3 movers and cameras to back this evidence up. So all I'm a say is before y'all lie on somebody get y'all fucking story straight. I didn't refuse shit, y'all proceeded to be rude about the situation even after I told y'all.

Took over 45 minutes to get paperwork done to get me the U-Haul. Employees were arguing. Never again from that place. The one employee told me I had to do the process on my phone because she didn't have her username and password to do it. I was forced to use my phone to request the U-Haul and then it wasn't working and finally the other lady who came in did it from their computer.

This particular car had 161 000 miles and the check engine light was on and the transmission was over raving the entire trip. I think this truck needs to be taken in for maintenance.

I was over charged. I was charged for a safe protection plan that I had denied initially, I was charged for gas when I put more gas in there than needed, I was charged for an extra day for being 30 mins late due to a blizzard. I have proof.

Don't change the location of pickup after a reservation is made.... Uhaul really bad at doing this, creating havoc and problems a pickup. Lucky stop is good but uhaul is terrible, wake the he'll up.......

The truck was clean but there was a tire service light lit on the dashboard. I told the clerk and she started the pay for air pump and passed it to me so I put air in the tire. The light never went off and that was a bit uncomfortable.

Owner of lucky stop tried to scam me by over charging. I called U-haul customer service directly and was charged the correct price before returning the truck.
