The entire process was painful. I set the rental for 6 hours total. It took a while for them to approve my credentials. I tried to get some help from The middle eastern man in the gas station but he stated that Uhaul didn't open until 11:30am and he was a bit rude and unhelpful. His wife appeared to be the same way. My reservation was for 10am. When I finally was approved the part of the online process where I confirm gas level did not give me a chance to see what gas level it was supposed to be at (I received it at a little less than half tank). As soon as I drove off the lot the gas meter dropped to a lower level. I reached my home to pick up my old fridge and realize that there was no FuRniture dolly in the truck. I drive back to the Uhaul place and informed the middle eastern guy with terrible English that my truck don't have a dolly so he finally decided to help me before he opens up the Uhaul business. He looks at my order and tells me that he does not have a furnitydolly to give me. He actually did have one but said that his furniture dollies costs 12,50 $ instead of the 10 $listed on my order. He also stated that he could not add it to my existing order because of some numbers he would have to put in the system that is listed on top of the dolly. He said he needed to contact the district manager to get approval and that he was only helping me because he knew I had time constraints. I informed Uhaul 800 number what was going on and they spent about 10 minutes searching for another Uhaul that I could drive to in order to pickup a furniture dolly. After so many minutes the middle eastern guy decides to look in the back of the gas station and finds a regular dolly and offers it to me. I told him again that I'm just using Uhaul to transport a refrigerator and he finally tells me to just take the furniture dolly and make sure to bring it back into the gas station when I get back. Great now I can finally get started after 45 minutes of wasting time. I get to my home and load the refrigerator onto the truck and started to drive to my destination and after a couple of miles down the road I see a call come in from Lucky's gas station so I take the call and guess who? The middle eastern guy (maybe his name is Lucky) calls me and tells me that my car is parked in the wrong area and that there is a tanker trying to deliver gas to his gas station and is unable to do so because I'm blocking the hole in the ground. I told him I parked next to another car thinking that was the area people parked to leave their cars as they drive off with a Uhaul. He said it was not and that he was going to call a tow truck to have it moved. I told him to please wait and I would come and move the car right away. More miles to be charged for since the Uhaul is charged per mile and more time to be wasted. I arrive at the gas station and pull up next to the tanker already pumping gas into the ground and the man told me that there was no need to move and that he did not understand why the guy called me to have my car moved. I moved it anyway and went on my way. Uhaul promised to have someone call me about a credit for the unnecessary miles and no one called me. I called the 800 number and they stated that so and so called me and left a message on my phone (they had the correct phone number). I did not receive a missed call from them and I damn sure did not receive a voice message. Still waiting on that phone call.Perry P.

When I arrived I was ignored. After standing there for about 5 minutes with no one else in the store Then the guy said just back the truck in a spot and put the keys in the drop box and someone will check it in. I received no documentation that I had even left the truck or that I was going to be charged an extra 250 $. I have been a loyal uhaul customer for many years and have had storage units for over 5 years at a time. The past two truck rentals have been bad experiences for me.Chandra K.
We had talked to Uhaul, by text message. The address where in Dallas ga, we were going to drop the truck.. same address was giving when picked truck up in Chattanooga tennessee.. on way to Dallas Ga.. on the way we got 2 text message Of 2 different locations we had to take the vehicle for drop off we arrived at the 1st one through via text message from uhaul to drop at 1 location after arriving at that location we get a second text message to take it to a different place on Sunday night is night in a different location in Dallas Georgia it was such a big inconveniencekelvin C.

Agent at Lucky's was rude and made us wait well beyond our reservation time. The truck roof had a hole in the top right where it had not been sealed properly during a previous repair. Our cardboard boxes and belongings were soaked with rain water requiring a piece by piece unloading, drying,and reboxing of those that were not ruined. How is a renter supposed to inspect the roof when renting?William R.

The guy from the location was not efficient and rude. My reservation was for 12 and we got the truck at 12:30. Also they advertise the place as it is open on sundays and everyday till 9pm and it's not the case. I am never going to rent a uhaul from that place again.Barry B.

The location did not clean the truck. There was trash in the truck from previous renters. The blankets and dollie were not in the truck. We ordered 12 blankets and she only gave us 10. The windows were filthy and we had to clean them. The alignment on the truck was out. The wheels on the truck needed to be balanced desperately. Not all of the lights on the instrument cluster worked, which was a safety issue. The truck we got (JH 5706 K) needs to be better maintained.Jessika B.

The police were actually involved in returning the uhaul and car carrier. I went into the gas station and the owners wife told me to move the uhaul to where the others were located.. I told her if I did that, then some of her gas pumps would be blocked (it's a small lot) her husband then tells me to unhook the car carrier and move it manually into a different place, then park the truck. I tell him it's not my job to hook up or unhook equipment. I tell him tht I'm leaving key and leaving the vehicle.. He said he was refusing to take the equipment, to take it elsewhere.. I said my contract says here and I'm leaving it here.. He starts threatening me with calling the police.. I called the police myself. They come. I showed them contract and he took equipment.. I would NEVER recommend anyone to go here. UHAUL, as a corporation, needs to rethink this businesses ability to lease equipment.Kristie B.

I arrived at 8:00, my pick up time. I was instructed the day before that my pickup location was moved to almost 40 minutes away. I could not get the keys via the 24/7 service. I was told via the website to go inside. The person working was extremely rude and hateful. He told me he would not even entertain Uhaul reservations until 11:30. After several minutes of inquiring why because my rental was scheduled for 8, he told me it was not his problem and to contact u haul. After another 15 minutes on hold, and another 10 of the employee trying to figure out what was going on, she said the pick up location had never retrieved the keys from the lock box for me to pick up. After again going back and forth with the pickup location, he finally retrieved the keys for me to get. By this time it was after 9:00 and my reservation had expired. I had to wait again for the uhaul employee to fix things on her end. Finally, an hour and a half later (standing in 25 degree weather) I had the keys only to realize the check engine light was on. This was the WORST experience I could have imagined. I will never recommend this store or uhaul to anyone.Christopher B.

I was charged 150 $for a Hand cart that was returned. I took pictures of it there and am happy to send them. Additionally, I could not lift the trailer by myself and when I asked the Uhual rep for assistance she said "oh you can't lift it? What's wrong?" I said "it's too heavy for me to lift by myself" she said "there's no one here to help you" Please refund my money for the hand cart.Brian M.

Your representative had no idea what she was doing. I had to go take pictures of the fuel and mileage for her. She was unaware that I was told I had 57 miles and so she charged me for going over 37 miles. I will NEVER rent from your company again. For one, I thought the rental price was per day. I had the truck for less than 24hrs and was charged for 2days. Also, the site froze and would not let me check the truck back in when I took it back, so the next morning, I went to Lucky's to make sure it got checked back in. The time was well before I checked it out the day before, but, when I got my receipt, it shows I checked it back in after noon on the 17th. If that doesn't have scam written all over it, I don't know what does. I would strongly suggest that you correct this, and also make sure that everyone that you have contracted to rent U-Hauls for you, does it correctlyMARCUS S.

We arrived a little after closing BUT We pumped gasoline from his pumps for the truck We went inside to check in and he said he had closed the safe?? Then he told us that he had to turn on the computer to check us in BUT then he completed everything on his phone He told us where to park the truck - upon his inspection; he accused us of pushing a slab of concrete - We DID NOT hit or push anything - we took picture to prove to him we did not. He then emailed the contract saying that our mileage was within the contract. Not friendly at all - very disappointed with his service ..Albert J.
The actual management of the uhaul services, Deion (May have been spelled wrong), was extremely helpful. However, since this isn't a stand alone uhaul building and services are out of the gas station, my experience with the gas station employee on drop off was extremely unpleasant. If uhaul is going to combine business with Lucky's gas station, there needs to be a better system and customer service options.Chynna S.
