I ended up being charged much more than originally discussed. Departments do not communicate with each other. Every time I try to address something I would call somewhere and get forwarded to other departments that could not communicate with each other. It was extremely frustrating. The location was not open in the corporate office was not even aware so it was very difficult to pick up the vehicle. I don't have another hour to spend on the phone to try to get my money back. I will not be using you all again if I can help it.Michael A.

The website for self check out was frustrating, the steps were unclear, and it felt like a long process. The truck was dirty, damaged, and the check engine lites came on. Our moving blankets that we paid for were also not in the truck.Scott F.
I have worked with numerous U-haul franchises this season and Mike at Kelseyville Truck and Auto stands out above all the others for the level of service he and his staff provide. I would not recommend it due to its locale only -unless going to/from that area. For us, it was extra 4 hr round trip out of the way because that's the closest place our needed vehicles were. Otherwise, it was an excellent place.Janice A.

Corporate customer service was terrible. Truck not available the day of pick up without a two hour drive. CS rep was snarky and had an attitude and was overall horrible to deal with. Pay $300 worth of extra gas but get offered a $50 rebate. Great. Go with penske or whoever else. U-Haul is cheap for a reason.ROWAN T.

The lady who did my reservations informed me that I could return boxesthere. I told her that because I'm handicapped I got them shipped to me .I was told about a 1 time charge for the dolly as well. She quoted a price. Today the owner said he dont want my boxes cause I didnt buy them from him.i said what am I going to do..he said he didn't care he doesn't want them and dont use his recycle bin either. We stuffed over 200 worth of boxes in my car and trunk. And now there in a storage shed. I moved 30 miles 0,3 trips over 5 days. 489 and paid 5x for the dolly and higher milage....20 cents higher because I didnt get it to him .very abrupt person. He may own the company but he doesn't belong in customer service.Billie S.

This is the only location in our area that I would recommend. In Northern California it is almost impossible to reserve a U-Haul and know that is going to be there. Mike made every effort to make sure I got my truck when I needed it and was great at communicating with me through the whole park processangela R.

Mike was extremely rude and wouldn't extend a simple courtesy of walking 20 feet to check the truck we rented for a $120 package we left inside! He said I could drive back to check myself which was a 70 minute drive! It's little things that make for a great experience! I guess U-Haul doesn't care about its clients!Derek B.

Tell customers to call the location before booking and to not rely on the website. The website will say that your reservation is guaranteed but this was not true in our case. There was poor communication between uhaul and the location. The uhaul had dirt all over the inside and outside of the truck. This was our first disappointing experience with uhaul and we hope we have a better experience with our next move.SAMANTHA P.

Dead Rat in the Cab. Not Cleaned. Sticky pine sap in the truck compartment. Referred to a new location 40 miles from my home due to through travel. Glad to be out of rural northern California.TAYLOR C.
Picking up was a little confusing due to office being closed at 5:00pm and that that was my pick up time. Glad I called office prior to picking up to advise them I was running behind. Then when I called the 800 number to get pin for lock box, which the female at office told me, I was on hold for almost an hour with the customer service gentleman advising me I didn't have to call for pin but to go they the pick up steps via app. Wasted an hour of my vital time of packing.Julia G.

Kyle was amazing. After I made a mistake on my on-line order he recommended the right equipment. When he discovered we had the wrong wiring, he suggested a solution. We returned with the correct plug and he was able to wire us up.Eric N.
I was supposed to pick up at The Gaytan Family Market at 14110 Austin Rd, Clearlake, CA 95422. Scheduled for a 2:45pm pickup and we got there at 3:30. NO uHAUL. What about the $50 guarantee? She knew the 10' wasn't going to be returned until 10am the next day -- so why didn't she call to warn us? She tried to give us a 20' uHaul "for the same price" as our 10' reservation, however we didn't want that big of a truck. After some calling around she found a place 20,3 miles away... so we had to drive over there to pick up our truck. It was very inconvenient. I'm still trying to figure out how to get our $50 guaranteed refund. I spent 20 minutes on help on the 800 number. Can you help?Pamela W.

Reasonable experience on pickup, horrible on drop off. (Employee on pickup / owner on drop off) Reserved appliance dolly not there. Tried to fabricate damage issues I'm certain I did not cause. Charged me $19 a gallon for a couple gallons of fuel though I brought it back with exactly the right amount. Extremely rude from the start!Art P.
