Never got equipment I reserved making my move 10 times harder
I have not had a good experience with this whole ordeal. First off, the people at Macs in Dickinson were more than helpful with one exception, see below, regarding blankets and appliance dolly. I made a reservation a few weeks prior to our move, to make sure I would have the equipment at the time I wanted so I could schedule my last days of work, as well as getting hired moving helpers lined up. As far as I knew all was well, was supposed to pick up a truck in Williston at the main office on the 28th at 8am. The 26th, someone from U-haul called to say they did not have a truck for the day I had scheduled, and it would be a few days before they would have one. What kind of sense does it make to not tell someone you'll have a truck available with only two days to spare??? Lots of planning takes place, and it's a very stressful situation She informed me I could pick up a truck in Dickinson (two hours each way from Williston) and they would give me an extra day for free. Not only was this inconvenient, it ended up costing me about $100 in gas for both ways for me to drive my own vehicle there and back, as well as having to find a friend to drive my vehicle back, and then the extra 150 miles at 6.5 miles per gallon on the u-haul truck I had to spend in gas to get it to my house. Makee it clear to your employees what is or isn't included with an out of town rental. This location told me I would have blankets (12) and a dolly in the back of the truck. Drove all the way back to Williston and found that it did not have blankets or an appliance dolly. Went to the u-haul office in Williston, and the lady I spoke to a few days prior (who at that time told me blankets and appliance dolly would be inside the truck) said "well that's odd, they should have been there". Who was then corrected by a supervisor who said, no that's only with in town rentals. So I ended up getting some blankets but all in all, driving to Dickinson, picking up the truck, driving back to my home, then driving 10 miles to and from the u-haul location to get blankets and a dolly, took about 6 hours out of my day that I had planned to do packing of our house so we were ready for the movers at 8 am the next day. My complaints about the confusion are all with U-haul in general, not so much the locations.
The process went very smoothly and we don't have any suggestions for improvement.
Have ability to meet clients in other locations. A five hour drive to pick up a trailer can really impact travel plans.
The vehicle was dirty. Could hardly see out the windsheild, had to go to a gas station to clean all the bugs off. Front tires were very badly worn.
The staff at Macs Inc in Dickinson was very helpful. This was the first time renting and they explained everything.
I love the folks at Macs they always go above and beyond in accommodating my random needs!
My card was charged 3 different times so hopefully it all gets figured out. Other then that they were great.

Charged for safe haul when I did not need it. Impossible to talk to anyone from uhaul or the store to help get the money back.

When I brought the equipment back I went into the store to finalize everything. I was standing in line and the cashier decided that the customer behind me was more important and bumped him in front of me. Not acceptable!

The staff on site was fantastic and professional, but the U-Haul credit card system was not working properly, making both the Check-In and Check-Out take over a 1/2 hour each time and resulted in my credit card being charged twice at check-in.
The gentleman that helped us was outstanding! Excellent customer service! We will recommend to everyone!
The truck was dirty inside and out but they did disinfect it.
I was charged $114 for for my rental rich on my bill said $39.45 so no I'm not happy with U-Haul next location where I got it that was fine it's a U-Haul that I'm not happy with
Cruise contol on the moving Uhaul truck would improve the quality of service tremendously! I had to drive 19 hours without cruise control and it was challenging. I know your company is trying to save money, but it would tremendously improve the drive.

Outstanding service but Trailer was very filthy on the outside, clumps of accumulated dirt etc. I personally washed it after picking it up and before dropping it off. Trailer worked well, inside was clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Both dealers in Dickinson went out of their way to help me. I'm very happy with them. Very unhappy with the performance of Corporate out of Fargo.
The truck was muddy inside. The tank was only 5/16th full. It wasnt the people at the stores fault. The truck showed up unscheduled, but traffic should have updated them.

I have to look at my receipt but I feel they tacked on a few charges, plus the mile gage is jumpy like it skips to add more miles, I did not drive 30 miles in town
Actually give a return location in the town we live in. Drive past 3 towns and 5 uhaul locations. Wasted fuel and an hour of time.
