The 100.00 holding for a debit wasnt disclosed. They got my money then blamed everything on UHaul. Said it wasnt their issue. It was mine. Still waiting on my "hold" money to be given back

After reaching out to 12 uhaul dealers in the area by phone from the u-haul website and either they were closed when showing open on the website or had no equipment. I did locate the trailer I needed and the employee said he was out to lunch and would be back in 20 minutes. The location was 30 minutes away. On the way to that location the employee called back and said when he got back from lunch the owner had closed and he did not have access to the trailer. I called the 800 number and the reservation agent located me a trailer 30 more Minutes away. I asked if she could verify that they were open and explained all i had been through already. She explained that i would have to speak to scheduling and transferred me. The scheduler attempted to call the location and there was no answer. She said it shows open on the site. She then called an area supervisor and told me he would attempt to reach them by cell and would call me if there was an issue. I drove 30 miles to the location only to find it closed. The trailer was in an area I could retrieve. After 45 minutes on the phone and speaking with seven more people. I finally got the phone number of a manager named Chris from Columbus, Georgia. He was extremely helpful and apologetic. He completed the lease using photos by text to verify my information and that i had it connected correctly. About an hour later I received a call with drop off instructions. I was given two options one was an hour from my home and the second was 20 minutes away. This entire process became one of the most difficult, frustrating processes ever. There has to be a way to an easier way. Along the way each person was polite and empathetic some of them even offering give me a discount, etc. but each of them seemed powerless to really help until Chris. Each person had to transfer me to another. These went on and on. Have any of you ever rented a lime bike or scooter? I have rented before so you have my information and usage history in the system. This really shouldn’t have been this hard.

System wasn't working. Workers seemed to not understand process. They couldn't process my rental and asked for a picture of me holding my drivers license and debit card to complete the transaction. Very weird experience...

Took 45 minutes to rent trailer. Everything was being done with a phone. Had to submit information 2 or 3 times. Very poor set up. Worst experience I have ever had with u-haul.

The people were very nice but not professionally established. I felt a bit uncomfortable using my debit card to pay for the UHaul so I decided to use cash. After I returned the vehicle,I didn't use all the miles I originally paid for. The clerk went online to try to refund me my money but she said she could not find anything on the site to refund me. She said that the sight said I was suppose to pay that amount. When I got the truck I paid for 100 miles and it had 35,738.7 and I returned it with a full tank of gas with 35,827.9 miles. I kind of figured this was going to happen so I didn't even bother with trying to get my refund. I told her don't worry about it and I left. On top of this, I didn't get the original vehicle I requested which was the Cargo van. The representative that I spoke with told me that she would make a note that my second option would be a 10" truck which I was ok with. When someone called to confirm my reservation,they told me that the location only had a 15" truck so I had to settle for that.The people were very friendly but I don't think I will use Uhaul again. I have dealt with another company before and they were spot on with making sure I received what I asked for. They made sure I was able to have the exact truck I needed at the exact location even if it had to be transferred from another location. I tried Uhaul because it was local but I am willing to travel to the next town to use the company I used before.
