Everything was fine until I got the final charge. I had only 11,3 Km, and I filled the tank with 3 liters of gas before returning the van. It's just a van, not even a truck, so 3 liters for 11,3 Km is pretty generous. Still, I was charged a Fuel Charge of 7 liters, which amounted to $13,81+tax. I'll go tomorrow to get my money back. And even when (if) I get it back, i am also losing time going back to them and recovering the money and writing this review. I rented before from this location and I didn't have this problem, everything was OK the first time.

The guy (night shift) at convince store is charging me for gas. But when I pick up the van, a woman (morning shift) said that I could return the van with same level of gas that I found, which was 1/4. I'm waiting for someone get in contact with me for resolve my situation

Rear turn indicator light was not working. Was told return confirmation would be emailed to me within half hour of the return but return was still not completed 4 hours later and had to go back to the location to get them to complete it. Even after completing the return we did not receive a confirmation email.

Terrible customer service. Woman at the desk had no idea what was going on, man on drop off threatened us with another bill. Already got our originally booking taken without notice and since you're guaranteed nothing was done to match the original price etc definitely will not recommend this service and go with any other moving service in the future

After using the truck, I filled it with more gas than the original amount and returned it, but the employee charged me more than $60 for not refilling the gas. I'll debate whether it's true or not, but the employee doesn't seem to know that I took the photo. Rather than wasting time arguing with these people, I strongly recommend that you find another dealer nearby. It's so tiring.

The tire pressure on the tires was not properly filled. The car driving area (front cabin) was a bit dirty and could have been cleaned. The rear tail light on the left side was broken and could have been repaired for safety reasons.

The cargo van we rented performed well on the Gardiner and in downtown traffic. However the tires had 4 different pressure readings with one being a bit low so it could have handled a bit better at highway speed. The photos taken of the damage of scrapes and dents on the van's exterior wouldn't finish uploading so calls to U Haul were req'd and we were given an email address to send these important photos to. The photos of fuel levels and odometer readings before and after the trip were included (also of the licence plate to confirm rental). Next time we will bring a laptop to access the UHaul account and the support on that app but that will require coffee shop wifi. The app didn't work well on cellphone but we did find the link to send the photos to in a text from UHaul. Unfortunately that link had expired after doing photography and searching emails for it but when we called UHaul the first time they sent another text with the link right away. We got very good fuel mileage. All the email + text communication was excellent. The parking lot had enough space to park our car which was a bonus compared to other locations. Thanks U Haul!

The Truck doesn't had the ramp, before return, I did put $9,24 gas (6,04 litre) for 15 ml. But you still charge me another $11.64. That not Right. I use only 2 hr .

Easy pick up and drop off

I had previously booked 1077 Wilson ave,Toronto Ontario M3K 1G7 for a 630am pickup. At the time of booking the website said the convenience store would be closed but I could do mobile pick up. I went ahead and reserved the truck. This morning at 630am I was unable to get into the truck and after calling discovered this location does not have mobile pickup or a lockbox and so no keys for me to collect. I then spent the next hour and a half trying to find another location that had a truck available. With a tight schedule and reservations already made for elevators and time needed to get across the city this was terrible service. Had the website restricted me from booking pickup at 630am at a location that requires me to go into the store that only opens at 9am I would not have reserved at this location and wasted valuable time.

I booked a rental at 5:30pm, location called me at 6:40pm, 20 minutes before they close to tell me they have no rentals available. I was already in an uber on the hwy on the way to the location. They didn't offer me no other solution but to call the 1-800 number to figure it out myself.

The owner was wonderful and location was clean but the previous driver was over an hour late to return and we were left waiting. I've rated this 5 stars only on my experience with the owner, 1 star to the Uhaul experience and putting us behind schedule for our move.

They store staff made check out and check in very easy. They looked for the best rate for me. The location is within walking distance which is a big plus.

Truck came so low on gas that I had to use my allotted time to fill it up. This got in the way of the very limited moving elevator booking time we had. Key pickup was not properly set up by this location so we had to wait an extra 30 minutes before we could pick up our truck. The store opens at 8, our truck was supposed to be picked up at 6. I called UHaul about this and they extended our time though. I was about to be charged for the surplus fuel I left in the truck... but I'm glad I caught the mistake in time. The clerk did her best to resolve some of these issues but there was a lot of ambiguity to work with. I do not blame her. Overall, very dicey situation. That said, the truck was was a joy to drive and ran well.

I made the reservation online. I entered all my info, including drivers license and credit card. I enabled "location services". But when I went to pick up the truck, it did not work. The cashier at the convenience store took 45min to reset. I then had to rush back and forth and ran out of time to fill up. I asked the cashier prior to leaving what the penalty would be. She said I would pay a premium, but did not mention the $30 surcharge. I now feel that, because your check-in failed me and I ran out of time, I am penalized with at leas $30 + tax on something that was definitely not my fault

Vehicle was covered with snow and there was no one to clean it as well upon requesting a snow brush nothis was provided they mentioned that the dont have anything to do with u haul. As well the windshield washer was empty i had to fill it as well the rear left tire was low on air. This is not how it works as well when i called customer service they could help me as well

They did not give us the dolly and pads but charged for those. Charged an absurd for gas because the app was giving an error and would not let us submit the correct amount of gas (we had the picture to prove) Charged 50km, but we only used 5km. And giving a lot of headache to send us the refund! Terrible service.

Terrible experience. I have filed a complaint and want my money back. The vehicle was not road safe at all. The windshield wipers did not work. We had to pull over and clean the windshield by hand. The tires were bald. We got stuck in a snow bank and had to get towed ( which we had to pay for). It was an awful experience. We could not use the vehicle and had to transfer all items we were moving into another vehicle because the van we got was unusable and a danger on the road.

There was less than a quarter tank of gasoline? I had to fill the tank and that was $115. This there no policy where the rental has to have at least half a tank of gasoline to be drive to the nearest gas station?

The location was closed when we reached there. There was another person waiting for his rental but shop was closed at 8am EST. It was opened at 8,4am, so I was late in moving amd had to suffer because of that.

It was overall a good experience The employee was very helpful and pleasant The van wasn't too clean and it had a funny smell. The signal for right tire pressure was on. But is didn't give me any trouble . I was happy that I could drop it off late at night and throw the key in the small box outside. So I got what I needed done and I satisfied.

You charged me twice for coverage. Fix this and your customer service. I haa ad be waited too long to rectify overpayment. I am very adept at iPhone and mobile browsers and your internet registration and pickup is still very frustrating to use even for the most frustrating person.

The truck had low tire pressure. The fellow just before me mentioned is was pulling to the right. The van needs servicing. ALSO, the proprietor didn't check the van when it came it and just sent it back out. He said gas was at 1/8th tank when I filled it to just a hair short of 1/4 (where it was when I took it) and then he charged me $30 gas fee! I'M SUPER PISSED!

We booked a van and the per km rate was .59. When we arrived we were told the last person did not return the van. All that was available was a larger truck and the per km rate was .89. We ended up having to pay the 0,89 per km as otherwise, we would have had to drive to an inconvenient location. If this is how you treat your customers, this will be the last time we rent from you. We are hoping you will return the 0,3 cent per km difference to us.

I had to change the date of my rental to the following day. I received a text asking me to check in the day before, and it directed me to a different location, much closer to my home. I walked over to the Hasty Market, only to find out they had no record of my rental there I returned home and phoned the original location to be sure my rental was still on. I should have called Hasty Market before going to ensure that this location had my rental, rather than the original booking. In the end, there was no covid checklist provided to complete, despite the text message asking me to check in the day before. For whatever reason, the address shown on the morning of my move was different to the original booking, yet they had no record of this when I showed up to get my rental truck. Luckily, the other location was fairly close by and everything worked out well in the end. No Issues with the truck itself nor the whole process at M&C Lucky Convenience.

This was such a horrible Uhual experience that makes me never want too rent a Uhual again. We picked up our Uhual at 6 pm and it was almost night time in Toronto, while driving in the highway we found out that one of the head light is burnt and not working also the air bag light kepft flashiing. That night turned out to be a huge storm iin Tooronto and we felt so unsafe driving this truck till late at night in the highway. I also called to raise my compliant next day and someone was suppose to email me in 2-3 days but I sitll have not heard back. I would like to get some of the money I spent on this trip refundedas experience was not pelasent and safe.

90 % of the process was smooth and efficient. The upsell on other products/services/insurance was a little overwhelming and ultimately the insurance fears increase price significantly - that's not helpful for estimating potential cost off the sticker, but I get it. I made a human error in booking the correct number of hours, and that's where my experience really went downhill. I spoke w an agent prior to picking up my vehicle, to update the correct hours (ie 20 hours vs 10 hours) but after picking up, 10 hours was on my contract. I wasted ~5 hours on the phone after that tryign to speak with people at Uhaul to come up w an alternative solution, but due to long wait times, call quality = dropped calls, hours for scheduling dept, I ultimately came up with a different plan, but still had to pay my full rental rate. Very frustrating experience and I will likely in the future for a similar 1 day requirement just use an alternative option. Not worth that hassle again if anything goes different than plan. Probably my fault on this one, but still wish there was an easier customer service resolution. Best of luck with this feedback.

The location is great, the representative is very nice. The car was disgusting and it smelled so bad I couldn't breath. The seats were covered with dog hair. I am glad I had a short trip .. bc I would have been sick.

Essentially got mugged by the guy at this convenience store. Henceforth never using U-Haul again. The guy never measured the odometer or the fuel tank and frauded us on our contract. We even called U-Haul customer service while hashing it out with him and the customer service was of no help.
