The app didn't work well for self check in. When it was time to pick up the truck It wouldn't let me use my phone number to start the pick up process, that I used initially when creating my account. Putting a contact in to get verified was a hassle as well.

It took me almost two hours just to get the code to the key lock box. The app and website weren't working and I kept getting transferred around when no one knew what to do. I was overcharged and charged for a dolly that they never gave me.

I was supposed to pick up my truck and another location at 5am with the Self Check Out. I arrived at my appointed time but was unable to check out my truck. When i called customer service, they advised me that there was an error on their end and that the reservation was never sent through even though I had received an email confirming the reservation and pick up. I was advised that I wouldn't be able to pick the truck up until the store opened at 7am. Due to this inconvenience, the rep checked to see if any other locations would have a truck for me sooner. She set a pickup for me at a new location, and I was able to check it out and continue with my move. I paid to receive the truck at 5am but was not able to drive the vehicle off the lot until over an hour later, without any type of compensation for my troubles or time. When I arrived to the new location, the truck's back door was open, and it looked as though some homeless people had camped in it overnight. There was trash and clothing everywhere, including beer cans and food wrappers. I did not clean it out, i just placed a tarp over it all and continued with my move. I returned the truck, like I found it, but i believe they charged me extra for the mess that was in the vehicle, even though I had spoken to someone about the situation. Overall, I am very displeased with the entire "do it yourself" check out during afterhours and I would not suggest it. Side note - the woman I spoke to in customer service was very helpful and really saved me by finding me another location to pick up a truck before 7am.

This was my worst rental experience ever, I waited one hour and ten minutes to get the rental. No once was at the office, I had to call customer service 4 times, until finally they told me to get the keys from the key box. No one told me that the first time I called instead they said to wait a little longer and wait for someone to show up at the office. Also the truck wouldn't go over 75mph which was terrible as I couldn't pass other vehicles on the highway.

At that location they need to do there job! Gave me a truck that was un uninspected & empty on gas. I called and made her aware of this & she told me don't worry about it. On Monday I get an email telling me about the condition of the truck & I'll be charged.

Logistics of picking up the truck was a nightmare. Pickup location was changed and mobile pickup removed by a customer service rep without my acknowledgment. Errors with the mobile pick up sight caused issues. Supposed to originally pick up truck at 7 pm, but with the nightmare of problems, ended up picking up at 11 pm. Terrible time. Would not recommend. Supervisor was supposed to call to remedy, never received any calls.

The drop-off location as very small with just 2-3 trailers and no trucks. It would be hard to recommend this location unless they had the trailer needed.

Trailer was dirty, Clean the equipment before renting! Paid for 4 bags of pads, received only one bag. Improperly hooked up safety chains (according to attendant at drop-off location) $600. plus for a 6x12 trailer---have we been gouged??

Grubby location; boss wasn't there because of "COVID". No one to officially check me in, but promised "boss" would send me an email when they came in - they never did. After four hours, called U-Haul 800 number to ensure truck was logged in.
