I would recommend this place anytime, very friendly, down to earth, Maurice, told us where to put the key when he wasn't there, he even has his pal dog named Ginger, she is very friendly, part Beagle there to keep him company, it feels like home when you walk in. It is refreshing to find folks that know how to talk to customers!

Perquimans BI have used u-haul many times in the past. This is the 1st time I have ever experienced the vehicle size I reserved being swapped for a smaller one. I am a 71 yr old widow who hired outside moving help who were unable to fit my all my belongings in the smaller truck. Now I am scrambling to get the rest out by myself before the closing date on my house sale in 2 days!!! VERY POOR SERVICE and much added stress to an already highly stressful situation.

Joe DReturning the 15 foot box truck was very straightforward. No paperwork. Drop it off, speak with the owner of the business, and your are off. Due to weather we were two days late in returning the truck. Still, no issues.

Dennis RThe reservation process with UHAUL intervention is a bit much. It is preferred where you stop in and book is where you pick up the truck. Outsourcing it somewhere else is problematic. It would be better that UHAUL brings the truck to the desired location, OR do not allow customers to book where they want. However, M&M Motors did there best to accommodate my request. Even though I had to travel to Plymouth, NC to pick up two of the three trucks needed for my event.
Reta BReserved a 15 foot truck. No trucks available. Sent to Edenton, charged more for a 20 foot truck.

Tim RJohn in Edenton NC has the best U-haul operation I have ever seen. Friendly and thoughtful and I love his dog but he wouldn't give her up. BTW, our haul was a 1929 Fleet Model 7 Aircraft. Very much a sight going down the hi-way on the trailer I rented (wings inside the box). Couldn't have done it with any other rental company!
Don JThe scheduling department is horrible! I reserved a 26 foot truck, 3 WEEKS out and the location 15 miles from my house. 12 hours before my pick up. I was informed I would have to drive 1 HOUR and 20 MINUTES to pick up the truck. I finally was able to get some one on the phone after 5 worthless numbers and connections. I ended up having to rent a 20 foot truck to avoid driving the hour and 20 minutes. I was barely able to pack all of my belongings and we ended up having to leave @ $1000 dollars worth of belongings. Needless to Say U-haul sucks ASS!
Alan LTruck broke down. Stranded for hours. Finally forced to walk to find transportation. Had it not been for the kindness of strangers it would have taken hours in the dark to walk along a country road. We called M&M and he referred me to Uhaul emergency number. Thanks for nothing. No, I will not recommend a company which rents a moving van with 180000 miles at pickup. Of course it broke down.
