Was so excited to use truckshare 24/7 which by the way is the only way to interact with the marathon express location on fort Myers. When we arrived, the app worked and then for some reason our truck assignment changed which did not include the 4 dozen pads and dollies we needed. I blame the app or the person I chatted with via the app for changing my truck assignment. The app was terrible and needs major tech help For their UI. Then when we returned the truck still had issues with app and had to use safari browser. Not a good experience at all and we were not charged for the pads and equipment we didn't get. Note to self, only using Corp U-Haul locations moving forward unless I can get a better deal through Ryder!! I expect better from a company like U-Haul!Nicholas C.

Actually inspect that inside of the vehicle before giving it to someone else or appropriately clean it before saying it's clean. The was vomit on the passenger side door and window. Ken who operates this place said maybe homeless people got in it and threw up. The air conditioning stopped working mid through Florida. Unacceptable excuse and I am paying for your service. I have used U-haul as a company for many years and many moves and this location was my worst experience, by far. It was supposed to be a self pickup location but the app would not register my location to start the process so I had to go into the gas station store to talk to the attendant. He was able to find my reservation on his device. It was at this point he notified me that he did not have any of the furniture pads,hand-trucks or dollies that I had reserved in the same order. This is on the morning of the pick-up with movers at my house waiting for me. When I complained to him that I made the reservation over 1 week ago and someone should have told me they didn't have supplies at this location, he made a show or pointing out over and over again that he does not work for uhaul... It cost me an extra hour calling around to find another uhaul and driving there and back to have the supplies that i need. I filed a complaint . The area manager, Ken, called me and he did not seem the least bit concerned about the disaster that this location is. I should have looked at the other reviews of this place before signing my reservation. DO NOT GO HEREAmitha O.
I renewed my contract online Tuesday the service representative renewed the contract online so that upon returning the vehicle I would be charged the weekly rate at 0,79 $ per mile.as long as the vehicle was returned Thursday Feb.27. When I returned the vehicle (U-haul Colonial Blvd. and explained what the online representative did the General manager at this location called me a liar and charged my card for the weekend milage rate0,99 $ The GM at this location trying to justify his actions said the vehicle MUST HAVE BEEN RETURNED FIRST to get the weekly rate.This wasn't mentioned by the online representative. Come to find out I WAS NEVER TALKING TO a licensed agent online but an employee at this business that never renewed the contract. After being embarrassed by GM in justify his actions he explained that the only way I could have gotten the weekly rate is that I had to return the vehicle This is a deceptive practice by this company and I'm bringing to the attention of an attorneyMatthew R.

The checking out process was ridiculous he had too many other customers to be bothered with me my time is just as valuable I got there 1st but he kept stopping to deal with other people behind me because they're running a whole nother business from there I had to get my own shark because he was the only one working then when I tried to return it the paperwork was almost up they had no idea who I was or where the truck even came from which took crazy amount of time to return I just wanted to make sure I didn't get overcharged had I just left I don't think I would have even had to pay because of how terrible the paperwork was doneileah H.
This was not our choice for drop off, but the woman at pickup was not able to select the drop off location we had selected when we booked this several months in advance. This is a very busy gas station with only 1 attendant to manage store and UHaul. The attendant was very knowledgeable and helpful.Francis A.
The experience with the truck itself was fine. The guy at the location was a real jerk. I arrived 10 minutes before pick up time and didnt leave until 20 minutes after. When i went to return the truck he had a real poor attitude telling me i wasnt back at 4 pm even thought a had called the 800 number to have my time changed. Ill never recommend that location. I had to extend my rental for 48 hours to 72 hours because of bugs in the back of the truck. Opened the back of the truck, about 3:00 pm and near 90 degrees, the next day after picking it up to see roaches and beg bugs running up and down the walls of the truck. I got to spraying bug spray and with a fly swatter killed as many as possible. I know customer service and this was not.Randall W.

He has not been trained on what he was doing. He then sent me to a different location or furniture pads (that should of been there because they were on my reservation) which did not have them either (he did not call or anything before sending me there) finally I received furniture pads at the 3rd location I went to. I was there a little after 9 and did not have everything I needed till 11AM. He instructed me that "he was just a gas station" --then maybe he should sick with just being a gas station because the uhaul experience was well below par. Also, when I picked up the uhaul he had NOT been cleaned or swept out even a little.Charles G.

I had to wait longer than what was necessary due to the attendant not being aware of what is going on. Did not have the utility dolly available. Did not make me aware that it was not inside the truck. I went home and had to turn back around causing me to use more miles than what was needed. This was a small gas station in a not so nice part of town. There was an issue with the uhaul system so I was there for over 45 mins waiting for it to be resolved. There was only one person working in the gas station and he had to stop helping me in order to wait on customers who were coming in for gas and other items. The truck had not been swept out from prior use and we did not do an inspection of the truck for any damages prior to me being able to drive it away. The man waiting on us was very nice and did his best to juggle his other responsibilities. I am beyond disappointed with this experience. Do not use this location if you can help it!Tracey J.

My reservation was move twice. After arriving at my location, the clerk was not able to coordinate/confirm the order. Only one clerk working, he was responsible for running all operations within the store, this location should require two employees. I waited over 1 hour before the truck order could be confirmed This location only had 6 blankets, I ordered 12. Would not recommend renting at this location at all!Gregory P.

This is a gas station and the first 15 minutes I had to wait to get paperwork done because the cashiers had to take care of their gas pump customer service First! They need To have key available for uhaul supply closet. 10 a.m. and no one had a key....so I wasn't able to get furniture dolly or blankets. I was to pick up the truck at wonderland on timiami trail at 9 A.M....called customer service at 9:20 to tell them that office was closed nd no one around. So they found me Marathon express....another 30 minute drive thru traffic. My vehicle tow trailer had to be picked up in afternoon in Cape Coral at DeBono's. That was the best service I received ....the movers were a nightmare and took 2 hours on Uhaul provider, then they said to call the code in and they would charge less..and take them for an hour apwhich turned into two hours...well after another two hours and they worked slower and stayed on phone and texted the entire two hours.... they packed the truck loosely so I had to store items at my neighbors and now have to drive back 1300 miles to pick it up, Will never ever use those movers again, or others in area if this is the work ethics they have.Paul T.
This is a gas station which makes your U-haul experience a little frustrating when the customer service agent is helping you and constantly stopping to ring someone up for gas or a honey bun. Despite its location everyone was friendly and helpful.Kersti M.
I was not able to bring the truck to the closest location to my new address due to it being closed. I called the 1800 #..they told me I had to take it to fort Myers.. So after waiting 25 minutes for someone to answer the phone..and 45 min to drive to fort myers..I was late.. And waited almost a hour at the fort myers location..they want to charge me a 40 dollar late fee ..so person over the phone could not take it away..and nor could the associate..so I was billed 50 + dollars.. The actual trcuk was fine, I had no issues with the truck. But the manager was here was pretty rude. They had issues with making my payment go through. I had to do a conference call with the manager and my bank to prove the the funds where there and the payment was pending since the manager was threatening to call the police. And then there was still issues as the payment still did not go through so I had to visit my bank where they were able to see that the merchant had been trying and trying to take the funds out but the merchant was also returning the funds and they told me the issue was on the merchant's side. And all this was after them trying over 10 times with 3 different cards. And at the drop off the payment still wasn't going through. So ultimately i just paid with cash I didn't need them thinking i was trying to get over on them. But it was a nightmare and I still don't know why after numerous tries and 3 different cards the payment could not go through.Kidijiah G.

Was told regional manager would call as would someone from main office at uhaul...no calls. This was the worst customer experience I have had in a long time. The Marathon attendant was very rude, the gas pump was not working for us, she treated us like we were wasting her time by having to come out and help us. A couple of days later received a voice mail from customer service that our rental was NOT turned in, and that they could not locate the truck. When in fact we turned it in before it was due, tank filled and mileage within the 30 free miles we received with our package deal. I will continue to do business at the pick up location; however would never recommend the drop off location to anyone.YANITZIA G.
Poor customer service. Had the pre-pick up selection made at time of reservation. Had to wait over 20 minutes to begin the check in process with agent. Lack of proper computer and network resources forced nearly a 30 min wait time after that. Once give. The keys, I was directed to an incorrect vehicle, requiring another 15 min wait for that problem to be sorted out. Truck was clean, but engine appeared to need maintence, less than a full tank of gas was present at time of pick up, and back of truck was not swept out prior to pick up. My overall experience was TERRIBLE. The location was unprofessional and the "U-Haul rental" was operated out of a gas station. They handed my father a cell phone to complete his reservation. There was no physical receipt or proof we rented the truck aside from an email I later received. The truck was awful. The cab was dirty and outdated. I could not fathom having to drive that truck 1,000+ miles for my move. The truck badly needed an alignment and had a screw in a tire. The tire was about to blow because it had been worn down and driven with a screw in it. Yet, your company rented us this truck. U-Haul insisted that roadside service must be done before I could exchange the truck for a new truck, even though it is completely obvious that an alignment can not be done in a parking lot. Even the roadside service repairman agreed that the alignment could not be fixed. However, I still had to jump through the U-Haul hoops. Your customer service agent would/could not reserve a replacement truck for me to ensure I would have a truck available when mine could not be serviced. When I requested to speak to a manager, she "transferred" me and I was on HOLD FOR 45 MINUTES before she disconnected the line and I never spoke to a manager. I was so angry that I waited 45 minutes on "hold" to just be disconnected. I called back and Germaine, the new customer service agent, informed me that the service agent who had me on an excessive hold only to disconnect me managed to make a note in my file that the call disconnected but NEVER CALLED ME BACK. So, she was able to notate that my request was not met, had my phone number and all of my information, but couldn't call me back? Germaine was an excellent customer service representative. He was patient, understanding, and truly sought resolution for me. He was great at handling my frustration. His service was the best representation of your company. I'm only sorry that he hadn't helped me from the beginning. I was able to find a newer, nicer truck, for a lower price, with unlimited mileage, through a simple phone call with an excellent customer service agent with Penske. I am so thrilled with my Penske experience and will never be a U-Haul customer again. It's a shame because I have shared this experience with many of my young adult friends and informed them of the excellent experience and service I have found elsewhere. All of this while still waiting for my 1 609,67 $ refund I am due for my first truck cancellation and my refund from this second, terrible truck.Randa M.

It is a bad gas station, and people kept coming to the counter for an allocation of toilet paper while the lady at the counter tried to figure out how to check out the truck. They had no idea they even had the truck and were even more surprised someome came to pick it up.ADAM G.

The P/U location being a combo gas station and convenience (& part time U-Haul) store was far from ideal. The clerk struggled with a lap top to get my rental processed, and too often had to take time away from my transaction to deal with customers and delivery people. (No fault of hers, she did the best she could.) Yes, the truck got me and my possessions home safe and sound, but it was not clean to my standards. The cargo area needed sweeping out, window glass looked as if it had never been cleaned, and the cab interior was dirty. Far more seriously, as well as safety issues, the rearview mirrors vibrated so badly, after dark they were of little use. A very poor design on behalf of GMC. Further, both headlights were badly out of adjustment, illuminating the road nicely just in front of the truck. Customer service wise, it seems a questionable idea to franchise every gas station, convenience store and shoe shine shop coast to coast. My experience with full-time, committed U-Haul dealerships has been quite the opposite, always good.gary B.

I had to have the girl who worked at the counter at the gas station (who is not an employee with UHAUL) assist with finding the keys, dolly, and furniture pads. The location is convenient, the staff is very supportive and willing to go above and beyond for the customer. I use this location due to the after 5pm availability especially on the weekend, More establishments should make the hours more convenient and reasonable for customers. This is a Marathon gas station that is staffed from 7am-9pm and they handle any UHaul rentals during Gas station hours of operation.Paul Y.
