Great experience here. Only uhaul location in the area that would pick up the phone. I was renting on a holiday and trying to make sure business was open on labor day. Owner answered and cheerfully booked me a reservation without even going online. Pickup was fast. Owner was very helpful. Don't understand the "rude" comments. Definitely not the case here. Keep in mind you are renting a uhaul. You're not buying it ðŸ˜ƒSTEPHEN T.

Almost everything about this move using Uhaul boxes was distressing, inconvenient, and frustrating. The web reservation listed a Uhaul location that, according to the manager, isn't able to deliver boxes. That manager was unhelpful saying â€œI can't make boxes appear.â€ My family's packing and move was delayed by a day because of the error. I had to drive an additional 70+ miles to retrieve the boxes from a different location. After shipping from CO to VA, the local Uhaul licensed location was, again, extremely unhelpful. The manager called me multiple times complaining about errors in the computer system. I sat on the phone with him for 15-20 minutes each time explaining that there was nothing I could do, I just wanted him to deliver our boxes as soon as possible. In short â€" computer errors were chased by awful customer service in Colorado and Virginia. I would not recommend this service to anyone.DANIEL P.

The you g girl who checked me out was pleasant and friendly. The man who was there upon return was beyond rude. He couldn't even make eye contact or speak the greeting of the day. My boyfriend and I are both black, he was white and helping a white customer. It's clear what the issue was. I was pleasant and respectful yet he couldn't even speak. When he finally did he was rude and unprofessional. No one else got that treatmentâ€¦ he needs todo better, because my money sure was fine to take.AJACHRISTINE P.

The location is not the problem. The problem comes from the set up with the U-box on the phone. I was offered a free month and have been charged for that already. After over 4 hours on the phone, no one has refunded the charge. My u-box was supposed to ship on the 18th , it still has not shipped. Things have changed 4 to 5 times with no satisfactory results. No one seems to know what they are doing. It's not fair to me.Darrell H.

Seemed to be unorganized. Lacked moving blankets and utility dolly that I had to rent on a separate contract from another dealer in Williamsburg. The dual contracts required me to drop off at less than ideal location in Williamsburg. Many calls and issues with dispatch to try and correct this issue and issues caused when dispatch made a mixup. Very long waits (30+ minutes) when calling Tidewater VA dispatchIra D.
Have the equipment requested on hand. A 15 foot truck when a 20 foot truck was requested just isn't big enough. Also contract with businesses that maintain an actual schedule of hours as my first pickup location was closed.Matthew T.

We received a broken truck with no air conditioning that shut down on us at 130 miles (half our trip) and no satisfactory resolution yet!Tyrone J.
This location was fine, However I wouldn't recommend uboxes to anyone. For starters they need to do a better job of recommending container amounts. I needed 2 more than I ordered. Moving helpers tried to charge me double at the last minute and canceled when I refused. Thankfully I was able to do self pickup but this left us scrambling for help packing our containers. When we got to our location our moving help went to pickup containers and they weren't ready, in order to reschedule with those helpers it would have been 3 more weeks without our stuff (and 2 babies). Called uhaul and the girl was so rude. Thankfully someone on the social media team was able to help me get new help and we got most of our things that day. Now I'm randomly being charged for monthly rental for 2 separate containers that aren't mine and nobody seems to know how to fix the issue. Currently waiting on a call from the general manager. Needless to say I will never use this service again.Tabitha H.

The guy there was kind of a jerk. He was working on a motorcycle about 3ft. away from me, and wouldn't look at me, or say anything for at least the 1st 5 minutes. He helped me after that, but left me with the impression, that he thought he had just done me a favor. I wasn't there to distract him from his real work. The customer service was horrible. The manager/owner was not friendly at all and when I stopped by to ask a question prior to picking up the equipment I stood at the counter for 10 minutes looking directly at the gentlemen and he never said a word. No, I'll be right with you or anything. He was more concerned with finding the correct tool to fix the engine he was working on. I can understand the dual business that is going on, however, a simple "I'll be right with you" would have sufficed. I only went back to get the equipment because it is close to my house. Needed to replace wiper blades, tire pressure was 20 points under, and auto transport trailer scrapes the bottoms of lower to ground cars (mine is a Prius 2010). Thankfully Samantha Hopkins was there and an INCREDIBLE help with replacing the blades and setting up the Prius for safe hauling!Michaela M.

Three out of four times I arrived at this location I had to hunt for the manager. I would walk around the building, front door was open, but no one to talk to. First time he had to go get something to eat. Second time his dog was there but it took 10-minutes for anyone to appear. Third time the front door was locked but sign indicated "open". No one came so I just unhooked the trailer and left. I took pictures of the equipment to prove nothing was damaged, time that I was on site, interior condition, etc. When I picked up this trailer it was very muddy on the exterior. I asked about this and he indicated previous guy had in on a dirt road. Never again! I'll drive past this U-Haul site to find the next available dealer.Robert J.

the key kept coming out of the holder requiring extra work and problems keeping control of the metal key. Space in the box was taken up by u-haul hand truck and moving bags display ty-wrapped to box which I didn't need or want to use. took up space i could have used vor packing. I was lucky to unpack truck the first day or my antiques would have been soaked by rain coming into box of truck. The truck should be waterproof (trailer would have been about as good as this box truck), this one was not even water resistant. the rental location was average but the equipment was terrible. We were charged on our insurance for a dent which did not happen on a date and time when we were loading the truck in Pa. This site has management that we have returned a truck to more than 3 times. They are very uncommunicative and unfriendly. We will never use this drop off again.Edmund W.
