It took me two plus hours to get the truck I arrived 20 minutes early I was on hold just to get help for thirty minutes then given another number then on hold another thirty minutes Same in return I arrived at an hour earl bug again had trouble getting they return and when I tired to call no one would answer so I gave up and kept trying On pick up when I finally did get someone They where amazing And understanding She even figured out how to put my phone on location Your rental details for 24/7 say nothing about the complex steps one must take with the phone Done people like me font have the technology experience and you should say that I sat outside the place a totals of three hours !! Stressed out of my mind People I had waiting at the storage place left !! I had to load a truck with my 70 year old husband snd a nephew I was lucky enough to get I hurt my back in the process of that .Andrew K.

I rented a cargo van. When I showed up, I was in a box truck. I rented a van for a reason. Several reasons, actually. Picking up after hours, no human to talk to and no vans on the lot in any event. Not cool to switch out the vehicle without a heads up.Dan H.

While the location and vehicle were fine, the procedure to rent out the truck in ride/share, their online checkout, was horrendous. It must be why there is no option to talk about it here. It took us over an hour and 15 minutes, as the software kept logging us out and we'd have to start all over. We even called and they wouldn't allow us to do it through the phone. Then upon returning it, it was another 1/2 hour just to take all the pictures, and use their software. Horrible, horrible. Would never rent from UHaul again.Toni C.

Place was closed. Had to spend 15 minutes on phone trying to navigate through unplanned virtual pick-up...this after driving 6 hours from Rochester NY. Heater/Defroster Fan in rental did not work....had to rely on driving motion for any heat at all.Jon W.

Steve Jones is very helpful and tried to have my rental at his location for Pickup see my comments in the pick up location-this issue is NOT the pick up OR drop off locations its with UHAUL rental reservations itself and there customer service-I know that the pick up and drop off locations are independent and they went over and above for me during the confusionrobert S.

The truck and pick up location was fine. The verification process was terrible. 2 numbers which work fine when I call them did not work for the remote operator. One number was blocked on my mother's cell phone. So I say there for 15 minutes until they were able to make a call that worked. This could have been done in advance.Nicholas M.

The app wouldn't accept a picture of the odometer when returning. I was able to complete it via a mobile browser, but waited 40 mins on hold before realizing that was an option. Location itself was solid though.Rory T.

Not about the location. The mobile app kept malfunctioning, took me an unreasonable amount of time to return the vehicle, and by that point it was past my return time. Very very frustrating.Michael L.

Given the options of yes and no, I chose "no". The cabin had a strange odor in it, most closely resembled urine to me, or to be honest, "sex". I drove the entire trip with the windows open and sprayed sanitizer on everything; made the trip tolerable.BRIAN S.

Location was perfect! The process of online pickup was AWFUL!!! I am a computer geek and I had a hard time getting started. Had to eventually call for help. Once started, it was fine, though the woman on the telephone had to do a lot to fix the reservation so that we could use the app. Awful!sandy B.

Hello, While the location itself was fine, the no in-person option is terrible and in need of vast improvements. Hopefully Uhaul is aware of it and working out the kinks. Here is a review I am posting to make sure others are warned about the new UHual Truck Share 24/7. ALERT! DON'T USE THE TRUCK SHARE 24/7 THAT Uhaul NOW OFFERS! My husband and I moved this past Friday and had a terrible experience with this new online-only service (nobody in person to assist with process). Both pick up and drop off went poorly. The pick up took almost an hour and only a small part of it was due to user error. Uhaul needs to work out a lot of kinks in their coding, how they present questions and directions on the app and browser options, and additional training is needed for their customer service help line before this is a viable service for the general public. Be prepared to start and end your move with a lot of frustration if you do go this "convenient" route!Diane D.
I requested additional equipment and was charged, but none of the requested equipment was in the truck. This made things much more difficult on the day of the move. Picking up the truck, returning it, and driving was relatively easy.Katherine C.

There was no warning that this was an unmanned location. No wifi and I do not have unlimited data. It took us 40 MINUTES to figure out how to check in and get the truck and do all the set up to get the keys. No email for or instructions for drop off, I had to google it. This is the worst contactless set up of any company I have used. IT SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!James T.

The UHaul phone operator provided false information saying there are no wheel wells obstructing the bed of the 10 foot truck. Luckily we verified it ourselves and changed our reservation to the 15 foot truck. (This had nothing to do with Maynard store.)Henry P.

The mobile pickup process waiting for an agent to approve you took way too long about 30 min for us. Another group who was there in the morning picking up a rental had the same issue. I would recommend you change this by allowing mobile users to preload thier drivers license pictures so an agent can extrapolate the date to pre approve you before the actual pickup. Then you just need to verify your location, mileage and picture associated with that and you are no your way. The return process was straight forward and took us less then 10 minutes.Bill G.
When I reserved the cargo van, I chose the in-person option, but when I arrived, there was no one there and I was expected to use the UHaul app. I then had to download the app, re-submit pics of my license that I had already submitted and then wait at least 10 minutes while my reservation was approved. It was a long process in the boiling sun. I was also given an estimate of $108 and then got charged $137 even though I was early returning my van and I went 199 of the 200 miles that I said I was going. On top of that were taxes, etc which I expected. That said, the van was very clean and ran very well.Marjorie N.

Our original pick up location was different, but although we had a reservation from 3 weeks in advance, There was no vehicle ready for us! so after around 1h of discussion, they sent us to a new location that was around 40 min far from where we were. The situation negatively affected our moving plans and we barely were able to make our moving happen with a rush! I am still waiting for U-haul representatives to reach out to me and see how they want to accommodate all of our time, energy, and costs as a result of the mistake made by their representatives.Armin V.

Cellular service at this location is terrible. The u-haul app timed out and restarted many times during Pick-Up and Drop-Off. This hands-off process is terrible with no one on site to help when there are problems. The truck was fine. I will be looking for other renting alternatives because this was a terrible experience.TITUS K.
