Friendly efficient customer service.
LINDA CI have rented from U-haul for many years. I found this time around, your pricing is not in line with other competitors, eg. Enterprise. A hidden charge of bring it back after hours, was not spoken of, I could had returned it the next morning without this surcharge. I live 10 minutes away. Unless your pricing becomes more competitive with other place, ill have to go there first. Your service is great and the truck did the job needed...but become competitive! Thank you. Stephen Graham

HEATHER DIt would be much easier to have the vehicle full of gas and returned full of gas. The filling it until it is where it was when you picked it up is hard to do. We likely put $20 more in it than what would have brought it up to the past level. It should just be returned full and picked up full.

Jean-Guy MVan had a faulty fuel gauge. Did not move over a distance but then would change abruptly next time the van was started. Or, upon starting, read at 1/4 full, but then after driving 5 mins dropped to near empty. When I refilled to 1/2 way mark before returning the van, it then raised to 3/4 in the short drive back to the drop off location. That cost me a lot in extra gas (my refill was $90). Van was clean and otherwise worked well.
Richard SThe floor of the trailer with full of mud and he had to sweep and wash the floor before putting all of our furniture in.
Karen WFriendliness and competence of the store manager were excellent and the store had all of the supplies I needed. The truck itself was well maintained but the cab was extremely dirty, I had to clean it as soon as I got the vehicle home . Being able to provide even moderately clean vehicles would have made this rating excellent. Life would be so much easier if UHaul would require trucks to go out and come back filled with gas - trying to guess where 11/16ths full is seems ridiculous.

Kim JI had initially booked a truck in Ottawa but was rerouted to Perth. This isn’t the first time it happens, uhaul should be more aware of their inventory and booking so individuals can make an informed decision.

jean-francois bMy complaint is not with this U-Haul location, but with the overall experience. I know you will be able to see all this on the file, but I made the reservation well in advance, and then was contacted the day before moving my pick up location out of town. After calling in to change it to a closer location, I then received a call that night to say that the vehicle was not available at the second location either. A location even further away (Perth) was suggested. After making changes to my own personal plans to accommodate this (because of the additional 30 min and 38km travel both ways) I had no issues with the vehicle itself. However when I received the bill, you charged me for out of town mileage that was only required because you were not able to provide the original vehicle you promised. A quick <2hr affair, where I needed the vehicle for <10km, turned into a fully half day of driving and all the mileage being due to the out of town pick up location required. Poor customer experience in all respects, other than the vehicle itself.

Brittany CThe place I picked up the trailer was great. Helpful and friendly. The trailer was good. Clean. He showed me how to use the trailer. Was happy with that. HOWEVER. On my way home I realized it would be much easier and quicker to drop the trailer in Ottawa at another Uhaul location. So i called and was told they would charge me another $100 on top of what i already paid just so that I could drop it off and save 1,5 hours of driving. So i had to return to the perth location. Then they send me my receipt completely in french. I am not french. I dont speak a word of french. I am from Ottawa Ontario. Not quebec. Not a big deal but very annoying.

Louis NVery disappointed. Not with the Perth location. But with the online booking experience. The booking confirmed a trailer available 5 minutes from where I needed it to be. But the day before U-Haul called me and told me there was nothing there and I had to go 50 minutes to pick one up. Very disappointed.

Dave CThis location told me I would be re-imbursed for the shortage of gas when I got the vehicle and I have not heard anything back or seen anything deposited to my card. I also left it over the required limit and have not heard about any adjustment or reimbursement for that either.

Melissa BNo customer service with either pick up or drop off. Total time in office for a $35 rental was over 90 minutes. When my security deposit was to be returned, was informed it couldn't be done and would have cheque mailed to me. As I was leaving office informed me it would be 4-6 weeks for cheque to arrive. Micky mouse operation. I'll update in 4-6 weeks.

robert kThe ball receiver was too big allowing the ball to shake and rattle way too much when the trailer was empty. This needs to be tightened, both for the longevity of the customers vehicle and the enjoyment (sanity) if the travellers … loud and annoying.
Scott SSeveral weeks ago I rented a 26' truck from this location. When I arrived the only trucks available were 15'. This caused me financial loses as I had hired 4 people and the project took longer than expected. I had to pay for two trips with the truck instead of one. This past week I reserved a 15' truck. When I arrived only 26' tricks were available. This caused me to pay more in rental fees and in gas. I am not impressed with the reliability of this rental location. UHaul did not have the equipment I reserved on two occasions and nothing was done to reimburse me for my financial loses and inconveniences.
Ted OVehicle interior was extremely dirty. The vehicle that was shown reserved for me on the U-haul site was not the vehicle that I was provided. This made it challenging to fit all the contents we needed to move. Fuel consumption was also very high with this vehicle. The host at this outlet was very hospitable and helpful.

connie NWe have poor cell service here in Lanark County, Ontario. I have trouble completing the virtual drop-off process due to a weak cell signal. AN option to upload a photo rather than having to take the photo at the moment of upload could simplify this process. Please see if you can add this to the virtual drop-off process. For example, if I could confirm my location when dropping off the vehicle, take a photo of the odometer & fuel gauge, and then complete the on-line process & upload photo on wifi when I return home, that would work a lot better in this rural area. Merci.
