Made a reservation for specific location 2 wks prior day before call me to change location 20 mins from where I needed . I have a storage unit at a uhual and was extremely inconvient driving around and out of my way . Location had no idea what they were doing not a normal uhual place . Won't be going through uhual again .

I received a call on Friday afternoon (day before my pickup) telling me my original pickup location didn’t have any trucks. Then it was just silence on the phone. The agent didn’t go into my options for picking up at another location or anything else, just silence. So I spoke up and asked her what the solution was to this problem. She said I could pick another location to pick up a truck and then stopped talking again. No offering address or asking me what part of town I wanted to pick up a truck from. I finally broke the silence again and told her I was moving items from downtown Cleveland and needed to pick up a truck close to that area. She picked a close location for me and updated the reservation and sent me the info. Saturday morning upon arriving at the new location and requesting my truck I was told they don’t have a reservation on file for me and they don’t have any trucks left. I gave them my reservation info and when they checked the system it was at a different location a couple miles away. Having been dropped off at the Uhaul pickup point I now had no way to get to the place where my reservation was actually being held unless I called a cab for a ride. The only positive experience about this rental story is that Keith, an employee at the Clark St. location, personally drove me to the next branch so I could pick up my truck. However, upon arriving we found the location to be closed (10:25am on Saturday, March 31) with a sign in the window stating the employee running the office would be back around 11:00am. He called the branch but nobody answered so he then called his supervisor and let her know he was going to stay with me until the site reopened (rough/unsafe neighborhood). Keith’s efforts were truly reflective of great customer service and care.
