Dropped my vehicle off. Couldn't do proper return, wasn't told (apparently buried in all the bs I had to sign) truck needed to come back with 1/4 tank instead of having the same amount it had when I picked it up (which it certainly had more) and charging me (over charging is more like it) $30 for fuel and never once explaining to me I had a credit…why was this not explained? Oh yeah…this self pickup with no one to freaking talk to. This entire process is poor and I will not be using U-Haul again unless my bill is corrected. As for midguard I walked in and there's no one there and a dude on a video screen helped me. I don't do business with places like that. Helpful, but I'm not cool with that. Someone needs to contact me about my bill. I will be sharing what happened to me with everyone I can.

Christopher RIn totality, I wanted to rent a truck, I was able to, it was useful, and I returned it all on my own timeline. The cost to do so was reasonable; the time of how long it took to pick up and return via U-Haul's 24/7 mobile phone process (over 30 minutes apiece) was longer than what most people would expect from a 'mobile pickup' experience, due to unexpected parts of the pick-up process such as follows. Not sure if every customer has to wait for a Live Chat agent to approve their ability to rent a truck -- and moreover why wouldn't that be done closer to when rental is scheduled, and not at time client is waiting in a strange location anxious to pick up their rental truck? Also who brings their passport or current lease documents to a U-Haul pickup site, especially when U-Haul had not given any prior indication they may be requested? The 4-screen U-Haul Terms and Conditions [not the Contract T&C which took up 85 pages on my iPhone] includes acknowledging that "I was sent a text/email [...] which provides me the opportunity to acknowledge equipment condition ..." -- when in fact, as 'Live Chat' came back over 20 minutes later to finally clarify, I only receive that access 'Once payment has been verified' [i.e. after client clicks 'agree' & proceed to a legal agreement saying I have received it, when in fact no client in U-Haul's history has at that point]. Lastly, the earlier and separate 'pre-check-in' process itself seems like a waste of time unless U-Haul prefers to offer customers the opportunity to enter pages of information, only to have that information be completely ignored and re-solicited again later at the time of mobile pickup.

William HApparently there are 2 Lake Wylie locations, which I was not aware of when I picked up the trailer. I returned the trailer to the one I have used many times before. When I got there (just before they were closing), they told me this was not their trailer and I had to return it to where I rented it. Another person looked at the contract and said that I needed to return it to the other location, which was a few miles away. Luckily, they accepted it. Had I arrived at the first location a few minutes later, after they had closed, I would have just left it there since they have a 24/7 drop-off. How would I know that it was the wrong location????

Daniel PMake sure the website gives the customer the code to get key out of lockbox because I Went through the whole process and completed the check in and received the confirmation of rental but never got lockbox code so I had to go inside and had to have service guy get key for me
Darius BThe location to pick up the truck was changed last minute and I had to drive a full hour extra than I had planned for. I called customer service to see if I could at least drop it off at a location closer to me without the additional $200 fee, and they would not do it. I then asked for at least a refund to account for the increase in mileage and gas I would have to pay for but nothing was done to address this.

Brandon HRating due to changing rental pickup time although I reserved the vehicle three days prior. They explained that mobile pick up was not available however, while in-person renting I was told I could have used mobile pick up. Additionally the appliance hand truck I reserved was not available. Lastly, I refueled the vehicle but was charged $50 for not refueling (not to mention I only drove 9 miles). I had to call the store and am satisfied that they removed the charge.

Dawn SI had to wait 30 mins to get the truck and the person had entered a wrong mileage for me which costed me a lot and there was no refund at all and also applied insurance when I insisted I didn't want will never recommend to anyone about this. While driving I haven't checked the message and everything messed up . This is the last time I'm going to be using uhaul . Some customers overlook some details thinking everything is correct but today I lost nearly 35 dollars . No one could drive 57 miles for 45 mins In pick up truck that's the proof. Last and final time I'm using the uhaul I would take Homedepot or lowes truck for my needs instead
