I was supposed to be picking up truck AND trailer together but when I arrived I was told they didn't have my trailer and that "this uhaul thing isn't worth it" by the guy working. 3 phone calls later on my own - not by the customer service rep behind the counter. I found out that my phone number didn't get updated in your system so you sent a text to the wrong number telling me that my trailer had to be picked up at a separate location approximately 30 minutes away.

Robin B.I reserved an appliance dolly, but found out at the last moment they had no dollies on sight. How do you take a RSVP but not have the equipment? I gave an estimated mileage and was told I wouldn't be charged for what I didn't use. I was still charged even though I was easily 20 miles under the estimate. I was given zero information as to my final charges with said mileage. I was then charged an additional charge that didn't show up until the next day with zero explanation. Perhaps had the guys actually checked the truck in instead of just taking the keys, I would've known about their shady dealings.

Madeline M.i have rented from uhual for years and most recenlty two weeks prior to this rental. However, it took me ovber 30 minutes for mobile check-in and required me to have a friend wake up early on a saturday to take a confirmation call from uhual on my behalf. Why was this necessary after all my rentals which were ALL returned and paid for on time!!!!! i am not happy at all and will rethink using uhaul for our next event in september if this is the new norm.

Don't lie to customers saying that they don't have to pay till next time uhaul is needed then charge me anyway and take a 40 dollar late fee after I was told that I wouldn't need to pay till I needed it again

Although this location had helpful personnel, I would not recommend UHaul to anyone based on how you screwed me over by changing the pick-up location last minute and not having any supplies that I had reserved 3 wks prior. Yes, 3 wks. Just to be clear, I would NOT recommend Uhaul based on how you treat customers. Go screw over someone else.

Tahira S.The truck that was rented to us had a bald tire, didn't see it until we were loaded. Called the local Uhaul and they gave us national number. Then the nightmare began. Transferred from one number to another only to be put on hold. Finally had to do everything on line. Long story short, after almost 5 hours road side came out and changed the tire. He apologized for the delay, said Uhaul gave him the wrong address. By the time he left, it was too late to begin our 432 mile trip. We had to postpone all scheduled plans by a day. I will be writing a letter.

DANNY B.My poor rating has nothing to do with the actual pickup site as I picked up after hours. I have two issues I'd like to address. First, I had scheduled my pickup at the Steele Creek site in Charlotte just around the corner from my house about 3 weeks prior to moving. The day before I was to pick up the truck, I was called and notified that the location currently is out of 10ft trucks and I would have to go to the Rock Hill location to pick up my truck. The Rock Hill location is a half hour from my house. Why didn't either A) someone notify me earlier or B) someone transfer a truck from the Rock Hill location to the Charlotte location as they had 3 weeks to do so? I drove past the Charlotte location the same day and there were about twenty 10ft trucks sitting outside. Second, due to work circumstances, I had to pick up the truck at 1am. I went through all the pre-check in processes and called the location to make sure I wouldn't need anything else. I got there and started my check in online. Your website was having issues with my photo as I was trying to upload it so I had to attempt multiple times, in multiple different lightings. I finally got past that part and the site timed out on me. After going through everything again, it said I needed to give them a phone number of someone I could call to verify it was me picking up the truck, a copy of my passport, or a copy of the rental agreement. I obviously didn't have a copy of either my passport or rental agreement with me since no one told me I would need it. Nobody I know is awake at 1am to be able to give my number out. I called customer support and they were not able to get me past that point without one of those 3 items. I had to wake up my mother in law as she was the only person who answered just to verify me. My license was already uploaded into the system so my headshot I uploaded should have verified that was me. And a third thing, I paid for furniture pads which weren't in the truck. I called the Rock Hill UHaul to tell them and they said they would reimburse me. That never happened. I am just disgusted with UHaul right now!

MATTHEW H.Yes, but only if they pick up the rentals in person. The mobile pickup was a disaster. My location couldn't be detected and my location services were allowed. The key locker would not open after the code was sent to us and now we were running 1 1/2 hours behind schedule. Thank goodness the property manager was in the parking lot, she got Trey to come with a key to the lock box and then we were able to complete the pickup. Way to much work to pickup a truck using mobile pickup.
