I had a reservation for a small trailer but my reservation was changed to a larger trailer, without my knowledge, that was too large for my car. They said there were trailer the size I had reserved. I was advised that nothing could be done. 30minutes later I talked to a third person who was willing to check if he could find a trailer at another dealer across town.

I made my reservation the night before, for a specific location OTHER THAN THIS ONE. I woke up the next morning and arrived at the previously agreed upon place, showed the worker my email, only to be told I had been moved to another place. No one had emailed me (I even showed the employee the last email I had, there was nothing she could do about it of course). Since I was only renting the van for a couple hours, the biggest additional charge was mileage. By moving me to this other place, I was farther from my destination in either direction! You added miles to my move, costing me more $$. AND THEN... I tried checking in with the UHaul app as suggested. I was having trouble and needed help, but THIS LOCATION IS UNSTAFFED ON SATURDAYS! So I could not get help! I had to wait for the app to work, which it did only eventually, and then I was behind schedule with those who were waiting on me. So this affected several people beyond myself. This location had another customer there who was renting a truck and had reserved a dolly, but when they got there the dolly was in the office and the office was (as mentioned) unstaffed and locked! What were they supposed to do?!?!?! This is asinine and rude at LEAST. The entire experience was a complete cluster. I try not to be angry at those who provide customer service, I know everyone has a job to do. But I have rarely been so furious at a company. If I can help it I will NEVER patronize UHaul again.

In the instructions for picking up your key on the website say to go to lock box #1. The keys for my rental were located in the only box I could find labeld #2. Just took some time wondering around and then asked the attendant at the quick lube for verification.

The online check in was confusing and incredibly time consuming. If you already have my credit card info and DL, there is no reason someone from U-HAUL should be making calls to another person to verify my identity. I have never experienced anything like this. . I had no idea how to pick up the van (the process) and the only reason I was able to get the keys for the truck is because the guy at the station was working on his car and happened to be there. I didn't get a code and had no idea it would be so complicated and also require 30-40 minutes on my mobile phone. Calling a referral was mind boggling- why would a company do something like that when you already have my personal info. The entire parking lot was ICE so thick that I was sliding everywhere in the truck and thought I was going to hit something. My son and I could hardly walk, it was a HUGE liability for U-HAUL to leave it like that. The entire thing was so terrible I would never recommend U-Haul again. If you are going to do online/mobile check-ins, the process needs to be outlined before someone books with you. So unhappy with the entire thing and you are lucky I didn't hit a car or fall based on the ice rink of the parking lot.

We were quoted for a location of drop off and this was changed last minute. As a result of this the quoted miles did not include enough distance to make the trip and drop off the uhaul. Although the charge was only like$3.00 I thought that was ridiculous.

I rented a 9ft cargo van on line and when I went to pick it up, they didn't have it. They had given me a 10 ft truck! Had I known I was going to get a 10 ft truck I could have rented one on line and save $17.50. I feel I should be re-embursed that amount!
