Patricia WHonestly the entire experience from start to finish was pretty poor. I would NEVER suggest someone booking the self serve again and the lot for the pick up was a literal dump. It was sketchy to say the least. The interior of the truck was clean, the back of the truck was not. There was less than half a tank of gas. we ran into another group returning a rental that also said that this was the worst location. the truck I needed wants there. I would not have know that unless I called prior to the pick up. The entire experience was a waste of $200.
Maia MWe never got help in us on drop off which meaning where they wanted us to park the uhaul trailer. Too tight of a squeeze along the fence , close to entrance gate . Had to help partner unhitch and push the trailer in. Couldn't cut corner with truck. We pushed it . Nobody to guide us but a girl did come out and it's where she instructed to park in a tight spot
VIVIAN AI wish certain locations would provide a little bit more details about the returning process. Mo-Da and Sons is a closed lot and I need the gate opened before i could return my vehicle.
Sibu JFirstly, the location I booked was changed this was annoying. I showed up to pick up the haul 45 minutes after the booked time and the location was locked with a sign on the door saying gone for lunch, back on the hour. Called the number and nobody answered. Called uhaul customer service and they put me in touch 45 minutes later. The owner said he would be back in 30 minutes. He did help me over the phone to pick up the uhaul. Did not help me inspect or walk around for damage. I specifically picked a bigger location for service. I would never recommend a place where they leave and close the door during their regular hours. Terrible service!

Mierelle NGetting into the parking lot is awful from the small road and getting out with the big truck was also challenging. I'm glad they had the truck at this location but having to drive over 300km to get there was outrageous.

James NAlong with the issues with the van like the tire being deflated and my original booking not being available, this location was OK. The gate was hard to close and open and there was a bunch of garbage in the same lot as the vehicles like old appliances and tools.
Nat MCustomer service was slow, and instructions were not really clear. Just happened to have someone there when we dropped later in evening otherwise wouldn't have known what to do.

jennifer bYou MUST tell people on the phone, when they book the vehicle, that they need to download the app and prepare for the keyless entry experience. It was alarming when we arrived for our 8am pickup only to discover we had to do this, and then finally leaving after roughly 45 min of navigating this app. Complete waste of time, and could of been prepared beforehand if the person told me when I booked the truck what to expect.
Emily BI got transferred to this location and my time changed from 10 am to 12:30pm. When I arrived there were 4 groups waiting. One truck and a one trailer had not been checked in and so couldn't be rented out despite reservations for the equipment and only one person was there trying to do everything and she was overwhelmed. Needless to say I wasted over an hour there even though I had a reservation time (that was already rescheduled once). Very inefficient check in and pick up process. Equipment was good and drop off was perfect. But it got me way behind on my day and definitely needs improvement.
Kevin CLocation was a mud pit. The uhaul truck was extremely muddy in the cab- unacceptable for pickup. I reserved furniture pads and dolly's- none of which were in the truck. I spend 45 minutes driving around to other uhaul locations, no one could help me. So I never received the pass and dolly's I was billed for. The worst Uhaul experience I have had.
Ryan LCheck engine light was on, floor of the truck bed was very dusty, some of the moving blankets looked like they have not been washed in years. Clerk was helpful but difficult to understand as she talked very quietly and had an accent. No printer or scanner to provide sale receipts. Hours on a Sunday (noon) is ridiculous time to start a move, push the hours up to 9 or 10 am.
Shayne KThe employee working didn't really seem to know what was going on. The equipment worked but the ratchet strap mechanisms were severely rusted and took some man handling to really get them to lock. I know this isn't really the employees fault but the trailers should at least be inspected and put some wd40 on them or something.
IVAN CTrain your staff better. I was told by the woman at front desk that I could drop my trailer off in Cochrane, AB. Only to find out that there is not even a U-Haul location in Cochrane and I had to drive all the way back to Calgary to return the trailer. Wasting my time and money on fuel. Extremely frustrating situation to say the least. I definitely will not be back. Also the ratchets for the tire straps are very rusty and hard to use. Very poorly maintained trailer equipment. Do better. If I had to rate this U-Haul experience from 1- 5 (5 being excellent) I would rate it at -4! Absolute garbage!
James OThe office was locked and there was no sign of an employee on the property. Maybe a sign indicating the staff would be back shortly would be helpful. The employee spoke very quietly and we had to repeatedly ask her to repeat what she was saying.
Lori MVehicle had no windshield washer fluid and was challenging to drive with conditions on the highway. The windshield was also held on by tape. The mobile checkin and app was challenging to use and not clear instructions

George BThe Van I rented did the job I was supposed to do, which is good. However, it was not clean. I was greeted by a nice little ranch packet when I opened the door. Also, their representative gave me two incorrect pieces of information which ultimately increased by rental cost by about 40 bucks. So, FYI, you cannot drop off a U-haul rental at a different dealership in the city, and if the lady says don't worry about filling the tank, it's because they want to charge you $20 to do it for you. Also, Mo will be indifferent to any concerns that you have about the quality of the service.
Joshua GLocation being operated out of a small trailer - poor girl employee was 1/2 frozen. 5x10 trailer worked very well however the wiring harness didnt even extend beyond the trailer hitch let alone reach the vehicle receptacle. Had to find an extension in the office however the connection was 4 flat and there was no adapter for the circular connector. Had to go buy an adapter. One of the tailights was not functioning properly (no turn signal/brake light). On a positive note, it Got all our stuff home safe, sound and dry.
Michael PIt would be good to know this is a lock-box type location and to have clear instructions at the site for what to expect as you go through the mobile pick up. I didn't realize no one would be there to ask questions.
Lorrie KThis was the worst uhaul and probably customer service I have ever experienced. The lady showed up late, couldn't figure out how to connect to the internet, overcharged me by $100, wasted an hour of my time, and after it all didn't have the keys for the truck I had reserved. She finally gave me keys for another truck and when I returned and asked for a discount or compensation for the wasted time, she said she didn't know how and still charged me full price. I will never be back and frankly am probably not gonna be using uhaul in general any time soon.

AliAmin FWe had a problem when we picked up the keys out of the lock box for a mobile check in there were 2 keys. My wife thought that one was for the gas talk as written across the top was "Unleaded fuel only". We get a call a couple of hours later asking if we had 2 keys. We found out then that the second set was for another truck and we would need to return it. At a great deal of inconvenience and cost we did that. I was not very happy about that. The truck was also very dirty on the outside.
Owen LThe trailer was in poor maintenance, the lights malfunctioned in the first half of the journey and the door would not remain closed unless it was locked. I will probably not use this location again.

Terri MI rented a furniture dolly and a dozen furniture pads. When I got to the truck, there was no dolly and 2 pads, not 12. Other than that, phone instructions were clear for pick up. Instructions were not clear for drop off, but I phoned and someone answered to tell me how to drop off. Still waiting on a refund for the $7 dolly that wasn't supplied.

Keith RI'm very disappointed with the booking system. I booked at one location and got sent to a different location. When I got there the owner had no idea we were coming and the terms of my rental had changed . It gave me anxiety to sign it but I had to take it to move. My experiences with your company have been absolutely unacceptable and if there were other options available I would likely never give you my business again. I am in the parts and service industry and know what a customer wants. In closing , thank you for having a brand new van but the rental process was a 1 out of 10.
