RENEE SAVAGENever rent from uhaul. Awful company. App didn't function properly, couldn't check in or out using their app as advertised. Called customer service and they actually hung up on us when we tried to explain their app was malfunctioning. Terrible company save your 200 dollars and go elsewhere. Charged for equipment (dolly) that wasn't even in the truck along with mileage over the allocated 52 miles. Ridiculous. Will never use them to move again.

RENEE HOLSTONLocal Uhaul personnel very helpful & pleasant. Very frustrated when told the 15' truck I had reserved was not available. The 10' truck available at Tru Blu was not large enough plus my move included a washer/dryer & a refrigerator. The telephone agent was able to find a 20' ft truck at Moe's which is 40 miles away. My original reservation included a utility and appliance dolly, as well as 2 dozen furniture pads, but when I called Moe's to confirm my reservation, I was told they only had a reservation for the truck & did not have any moving supplies. The telephone agent was then able to find an appliance dolly & pads at Discount Cigarettes(not far from Moe's). So the night before my move, I spent several precious hours on the road picking up a truck & moving supplies. The telephone agent did arrange for the truck & moving supplies to be returned to TruBlu which had been my original reservation pick-up location & only a few miles from my home. It would be helpful if availability of trucks/moving supplies could be determined sooner than a day or two before reservation date.

Michael WelchInform the customer ahead of time that this location does not rent moving blankets or utility dollies. We ended up having to drive to Salisbury MD from New Church VA to find a utility dolly and lost 3 hours and UHAUL charged us for the extra miles. I booked the reservation and PREPAID for a dolly and UHAUL accepted the contract and the payment but did not honor the contract until I had to loose 3 hours of my rental window and had to incur the cost of the miles to drive to another town

Jacqueline DonohueYour prices have almost doubled in a year since I first rented. It's really too much. I need a other vehicle and am exploring different companies for hire. It is price gouging. And depressing for people on a budget. After renting three times I should get a discount.
LUCILE BOGDANOWICZWhen I got the trailer home I discovered a gas fireplace inside. Since I was 20 miles from the rental place and I was time crunched I had to pull it out to get my stuff in. While lifting it out the heave glass insert broke out and broke my big toe. As I said I was time crunched I had to load and unload it with a broken big toe. Very Painful!

Lydia BuckThe U-Haul online experience was very frustrating and the wait time for customer service was in excess of 30 minutes. I ultimately contacted the retail pickup location (Moe's) and the helped me get the reservation squared away. I will not use the U-Haul website again.

THEODOREALBERT ROWLEYReceived a phone call the day before scheduled pickup stating that the truck was in their yard. Arrived at Moes at the scheduled time to find they didn't have my reservation for a 15 foot but did have a 26 foot truck. Moes let me rent that for a substitution charge of $50 when they said they would give me a credit, will contact Moes about the credit. Found out later the truck for my reservation was at a different location that the caller did not specify.

Christopher HallFirst trailer had a unacceptable worn tire. Second trailer had a tire with a puncture.(We were driving 2 500 miles). I was told only fix was for me to call roadside assistance and have one of the trailers repaired. I would hope that returned equipment would be inspected for safety worthiness.

Neil BrensingerThey went out of there way to help us. Our transmission blew 400 miles from home on Thanksgiving day. I was able to rent a 15 ft truck and a auto transporter to tow our 4 wd vehicle back home. They even helped me load and tie it down. Highly recommended full service location.
Joseph BellisarioThe 10' van that I had reserved was not there on time so I got a 15' van at the same price. The Utility Dolly & regular dolly that I reserved were not in the truck. I didn't have time to go back & get that straightened out. I was told by the U-haul rep that they were not allowed to help customers connect the Tow Dolly & load a vehicle for insurance reasons so I had to get one of the customers who was waiting for his car to be services to be a spotter.

ALAN HENDERSONI made the reservation on July 12 to have a 20' truck in Exmore, Va. Nobody in the area would deliver the truck to the location I requested 2 weeks in advance. So I had to drive 45 minutes each way to go pick up the truck. So basically I drove 1,5 hours to get a truck that should have been available at the dealership in Exmore, VA. I felt uhaul should have provided a truck in the town I needed a truck. So disappointing

Jacqueline PastisThis week we used U Haul for the first and last time. We rented a car carrier that we needed from Friday afternoon in Maryland and we could have very easily returned in TN Saturday evening. We had to rent it for four days at a cost of $464. That is absolutely ridiculous. To make matters even worse, when my husband hooked it up the tail light and turn signal on the right side did not work. When he told them the person we rented from said we rent them, we don't fix them. My husband checked for a short etc., but was unable to fix it. So we paid for 4 days, when we really only needed less than 24 hours, to drive a defective trailer from MD to TN. That is bad business and rendered us unsafe!! We will share our experience with your company far and wide as this was ridiculous and dangerous!! Dorothy Herd

Walter LaneCalled the local phone number, said no one could help me. Recommended use internet. Booked online. Got call 2 hr before pickup that we could not leave at destination and had only 22 hrs to get it back. If I did not agree, I would be cancelled or rerouted. Having no other option, I had to drive it back last night and pay for the trip back. The lady handling the transaction was rude and downright unpleasant.
Luanne MottleyDo you have The nerve to asked me to rate my experience with U-Haul. Had an inside rear tire explode, leaving me stranded per better than six hours in the middle of nowhere no food no convenience stores nothing around me, they sent a service team from the officers sure over to assist me no spare tire nothing he took the tire off my truck drove 30 to 40 miles to another U-Haul store and picked up a tire from one of their trucks because he showed up with no tire. , I was rough driving for over 12 hours straight to get to my destinations where I picked up some additional furniture and then headed for Meadow Bridge West Virginia. Out of which we had 3 to 4 days of rain which made this move one of the most measurable moves I've ever had. I normally have a budget truck or a Penske truck because there is no mileage. Out of my last three moves these these are the companies I have dealt with. Are used you all this time because mows services my truck and I was like the people there and it was very close to where I live. But out of all this I get a one day rental, shows me that you really tried to make a situation better .
Harold CyrI had a great experience save for the fact that my pick up location had to be changed due to lack of availability at my original pick up location. Because if this I was still able to pick up the truck I needed at the time I needed it but all the moving equipment I originally requested was unavailable at the new location which was disappointing.
