I was told I could modify my drop-off location at the time of pickup. However, nobody familiar with U-Haul procedures was present to help me. So I could not modify the drop-off. Luckily, I had already paid online because I would not have been able to make a payment at the pickup store. Also, the six moving blankets I had ordered were not in the truck ($5 cost). Plus, when I paid online there was an unexpected $5 environmental fee tacked on that had not been mentioned before. I plan to pursue getting a $10 (+ tax) refund from U-Haul.Michael S.

We showed up to the place we selected for pick up and we're told to go to another city entirely for pick up. They told us the wrong address and we had to drive back to a third location in the original city . Then an employee approached us to â€œhelpâ€ but also said he had no idea about the trucks and equipment. It took us an hour past rental time to be able to acquire our truck and we were never notified of a change in pick up place or the size of the truck. I also felt that it was very steep to charge for the truck, per mile, and then have to fill the gas back up as well. However in the end the truck did what it was supposed to do, I recommend you reserve for well past the amount of time you need to ensure you get it back in time. Be sure to double check they haven't changed your reservation without notice as well.Casey B.

I'm abit old school, so doing the renting of a truck at a distance and on a phone seems very foreign to me. But in the end it went well, smooth. I prefer talking face to face with a human being and having a paper contract in my hand. I called the owner of this location to verify hours of operation and to let him know I needed to drop off. He was absolutely amazing as well. I was able to drop off without any issues at all. Ordered two dolly's (regular dolly and furniture Dolly) to assist in the move. Didn't receive either of them. Tried to call the location to see if I could just go pick them up myself but nobody answered and I never heard back from them. The dolly's would have made the move so much easier on me. I disputed the charges for the dollys though and Uhaul removed them for me. So at least I didn't have to pay for them.Adam C.

This location was not convenient to me and not the location I reserved. I was not notified of the location change so it was very much out of my way. Bud Montgomery left my furniture on his property for almost 4wks without having it shipped. He also took the covers off of containers and let it rain in them. I have 5-6 pieces of furniture that is totally destroyed over his neglect. I had to have a family member pick my furniture up and bring it to my house. He told me that my furniture was being picked up on 28 of June, instead I find out that on July 14/15 that my containers where still sitting on his property in Berea, Ky. I deserve to have a claimed filed on this man for the way he neglected his job and left my containers out I. The rain without covers on them. The proprietor went out of his way to get us a rental after the truck we had booked 8 weeks in advance was not available the day of our rental and our agreement was cancelled without leaving us any options. We contacted several locations and trucks being double-booked is common. I would suggest calling a few days in advance to ensure you have a truck so you are not stuck like we were.Joanne S.

Better communication. I had scheduled pickup for 8 am only to get to the pickup location and find that they didn't open until 9am so I had to wait an hour for them to open. No one showed up at 9am so I had to call several times to get ahold of someone who told me where the key was. None of the other equipment was in the truck i.e. appliance dolly or furniture pads and I had to spend over an hour trying to get ahold of customer service for help. All this made for a very stressful move day. I also wasn't excited to see that I was charged overage on milage due to the pick up location being changed(by uhaul) to a place 15 miles away. Overall this was a terrible experience on an already stressful day. At this point I doubt I will be giving Uhaul my business in the future.CLAYTON T.

We had an issue in that U-Haul scheduled my truck pick-up at 8:30 am but the local store didn't open until 9:00 The dealer got there as quickly as he could and he was very efficient and helpful.William R.
We dropped off the truck and trailer at about 4:30PM on Thursday, a day before it was due, well before the posted closing hour. No one was there and the place was locked up tight. I went back twice over the next two days and never found anyone there which was a problem as I left my Handicapped parking Tag in the truck. I got a receipt saying they received the truck and trailer at 2:38PM on Friday?Richard B.
Dropped off truck and trailer one day early. They show receipt of them about a half hour before due, the following day. I never saw a person at the facility though I dropped off the truck and trailer at least 3 hours before their posted closing time. Went back there twice about mid day each of the next 2 days and the place was locked up. I left a handicapped parking tag in the truck and needed to retrieve it.Richard B.
