I see a gas charged price on my receipts when I had fueled the truck before dropping it off. It was below half when I got it and I had fueled it back up near half.

As a business owner, I will only work with people and businesses that align with my strict code of customer service and Namaste does just that. Top marks from the friendly services to the flexibility they've shown me and in all other regards.

i don't understand why charge me so much. they didn't give us a form for how much gas before using it( actually there is no gas at all), then we add some gas, but finally for the gas, they charge me 30 dollars, which i don't understand

A. I was issued a ticket because the headlights (which are automatic when dark) was not working although it worked at other times. B. I was not given a copy of the contract so when the police asked for it, it was unavailable. C. No one was at the Uhaul Dealer at 3:15pm upon my return. I contacted the Uhaul costumer service who transferred me the Traffic department once they noted the file I was informed I didn’t have to wait for some to return at the location and to use the Dropbox, this is what I did and yet still I was charged for the next day. I was told by Uhaul costumer service to drive back up there and use my phone to checkout the car. 1. So what if my phone has been lost stolen or the service is not working? 2. And isn’t it the Uhaul dealers responsibility to be open during normal business hours to check out the car if using the Dropbox without your phone is not an option to avoid being charged the next day? 3. Or is this just another way for Uhaul to cash in extra cash and are they now using more Uhaul Dealers as opposed to whatever qualifies as a Uhaul office to rid themselves of liability? But how do you rid yourself of liability when you authorize your name and service to be used? D. I tried calling the Uhaul dealer and left a message regarding these issues and have contacted the same Uhaul costumer service who said the an area manager would be contacting me. I have yet to hear from anyone. E. Between all the additional fees even beyond mileage fees the rental and citation for faulty equipment what started out as an advertisement of 19.95 ended May end up being somewhere close to $300 once the Circuit Clerk posts the amount of the ticket. Worse Rental experience ever, stay away from Uhaul and their Dealers!

Uhual truck smelled of smoke. And when I returned the office was locked and closed with a note saying "I will be right back" with a number listed that did not work. I banged on the door until someone answered it. Very unprofessional.

I just received a text, 5 days after returning the truck, that I am being charged for fuel and a fuel service fee even though I picked up and returned the truck with a quarter tank of gas. I'm also being charged a cleaning fee even though I returned it cleaner than when I got it. I sent in an appeal, or whatever you call it. If this is not resolved, I will try to never rent another UHaul truck will place negative reviews everywhere I can online. It's just wrong.

Your call center employee didn't give me the right information. My rental was one-way, but the employee gave me a return address that didn't accept one-way rentals. This caused me extra time, gas and mileage. The employee at the return address was polite and easygoing.

Todd was very rude! When I told him that the tuck I rented was shacking when I reached a certain speed a d I didn't have a horn he replied cl corporate for free SHIT I asked him does he talk to his customers like that he responded with I can say what's I want to! I wasn't looking for any FREE just wanted to be compensated with a percentage off! If this is how people that represent uhaul treat their customers I will.never do business with uhaul again and will definitely tell all my friends and family my experience!

Our location was changed on us with no notification from uhaul. We arrived at appointment time to find an hour long wait. After an hour of waiting we are told that our pick up location was moved. No one called either of our numbers provided in our profile. I also prepaid for our rental so I would have expected an easier pick up. We then waited another hour at next location and were told they didn’t have our truck! after some checking she found the truck but then completed the paperwork with incorrect truck number. Everything went wrong.

While the rental itself and moving day went off without a hitch, this was overall a very frustrating experience due to billing issues and poor communication. After I returned the truck, I received my receipt over email a few hours later and found I was charged for more than 60 miles (I had only driven 5-6 miles--the difference was almost $100). I called immediately, and the guy was super helpful and apologetic: he admitted he had read the odometer on the wrong truck and told me I would get a new bill. I received the new receipt over email the next morning, but a few things were concerning: for one, it said "cash refund" (which was not true), and the refund amount was incorrect. A week passed and no refund at all was applied to my credit card. After waiting a week, I called Namaste every day for the next two weeks to ask why I hadn't received a refund. No one ever picked up the phone. I left several voice messages, until one day the voicemail told me it was full. I eventually had to call UHaul customer service, who were also unable to reach the folks at Namaste. Ultimately, it was the staff at UHaul who made sure that my refund was processed, three weeks after the fact. My refund was still short by about $10, but I'm not going to press the issue any further. If you use this location, definitely demand to have the truck checked and billing completed in person before you leave, because getting someone on the phone here is impossible. I'm honestly not sure if the place is just unorganized/mismanaged or if they were actually trying to swindle me.

This entire renting process has been terrible from beginning to end. I have rented trucks before and never had any issues and this entire experience has been off and completely unsatisfying. I received my receipt and am surprised by the extra charges. I was charged for an extra day as well as extra miles. My original pick up was supposed to be in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin and was moved to McHenry, Illinois. When I spoke to the representative over the phone they told me that I was going to be given 25 extra miles to make up for the different location. I received a confirmation text: "Your U-Haul res 25879736 is sched. at 2019 RICHMOND RD in MC HENRY at 8:30 AM on Saturday, August 03, 2019. Call (815) 669-4039 to confirm." Then I called the U-Haul and they confirmed it as well. So I thought I was good to go, even with the inconvenience. When I picked the Uhaul up in McHenry, the man who brought me the truck literally handed me the keys and began to walk away. Now having rented trucks before, I knew that this was not the normal protocol. I asked him to walk around the truck with me, and he made a big sigh like I was inconveniencing him. We walked the truck and he said it was fine, and I asked about the big scratches on the side of the truck and whether or not he had the "X" stickers to mark it. He said that he didn't and that they wouldn't "notice" the scratches at the next location. I pushed for the "X" stickers and he begrudgingly went and got one and put it on. So it wasn't a great start. After confirming the truck on my phone, I received another confirmation text: "Thank you for choosing U-Haul! Your order number is : 25879736. Your rental is due back on August 4, 2019 at 11:00am CDT. Your drop-off location is NAMASTE SHIPPING located at 6415 N RAVENSWOOD AVE, CHICAGO IL. For help, storage or to return your truck using just your phone, follow this link: https://www.uhaul.com/Orders/OrderDetail.aspx?resid=25879736&ln=Anderson" When I dropped off my U-Haul, the representative at the location in Chicago only took the keys, didn't look at the truck, didn't go over anything with me, and said I was good to go. I told him I was parked down the street in a no parking zone because there wasn't anywhere to park and he said "whatever, that's fine". This was unlike any other U-Haul renting experience I had had and even asked him if that was right and he said yes I could go and waved me off. There were two other people standing there and he went back to helping them and ignored me. I tried to call customer service at that point but the wait time was extremely long and I had a million other things to be doing that day and couldn't wait on the phone. Now I have received an email saying I owe more money due to the extra day I took, and extra mileage. I emailed the email address that was given to me to make a complaint and it's now been over a week and I have heard nothing back. I emailed again and still haven't heard anything.

Location not clearly marked and no parking was evident. Drop off was simple but unusual. No request for mileage or gas level or whether there were any problems with the truck. Not given anything to sign.
