Leslie was very helpful on the phone when I accidentally left a personal item in the front and had to return. She also called to ensure I had my rented dolly when I arrived as well and was thorough and lovely in communication. She was a fantastic representative! DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!!! I had to wait 30 minutes to get the keys from the auto repair shop where 10 people were working yet no one could help me. When I finally checked in and got the keys, I had to walk 15 minutes to pick the truck up but they told me the wrong location where it was parked so I had to go back. I filled up the gas to the same place it was when I got it, and after sending pictures of the before and after amounts, they charged me for refilling which I am disputing. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE- GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!!!BRITTONC L.

I was sent to walk 2 miles to find the u-haul because no employees knew where it was. The van was left with little to no gas and the cars computer system was all messed up. It kept beeping saying the cars door was ajar but it isn't. Then when brought back I was told to park the car and label the key with where I parked but I saw the office employees working when I arrived so I parked the car and handed them the keys and then was told that â€œI have to move the van cause it will get a ticket the next day where I parked itâ€. I said okay then where do you want me to park it the man then replied by saying â€œsomewhere where it won't get a ticketâ€ why is it my responsibility to move and park this rental truck when I am just a customer returning it? Fast forward to the next day I get a call from the shop telling me I drove 100 miles which is not true I drove 42 and that I left the gas tank below where it should be (I filled the tank up half way before returning, keep in mind the tank was below half when I was given the vehicle). I went to this location out of convenience to how close it is to my home but I could have never imagined it would have been as disastrous of an experience. This place should not be a U-Haul rental site what so ever and needs to be taken away. Complete waste of my money and time.ALIXJOSEPH ERIC F.

The customer service was horrible at this location. A service that should have taken 15-20 minutes took about an hour. The agent helped and told us the truck should be to the LEFT of the shop and we checked every truck for the next three blocks. When none of the trucks worked, we then decided to check all the vans because on the contact it says it is a 10ft van (little confusing when I ordered a 10 ft truck) After that failed, we went back to the agent and told him we couldn't find it. He told us that somebody would bring it up to us. He then left the shop took a RIGHT and slowly walked another three blocks from the shop. As we watched him he came slowly walking back and told us that is was three blocks down that way (what happened to somebody bringing it up to us) It literally took about 40 minutes finding the truck. Horrible service from this location!!!! Also we found a parking ticket in the truck which caused issues at the drop off location.Alexander S.

I've used this location a number of times. Leslie is always very helpful. The first time or two, it was a bit confusing since it shares the space with the Auto Shop, but once I got the hang of it, I've had a great experience every time. There's always equipment available, and they've always been flexible and accommodating if something comes up and I need to add time. The employees have also been helpful about checking in and out, when I can't get the app to work. Would definitely recommend.Michael L.

This spot is on Atlantic Ave., which is a real challenge for inexperienced NYC drivers. The guy told me I had to find a parallel parking spot on the street, which was basically impossible. Fortunately, I reached a VERY helpful Uhaul phone rep (Leslie) who told me to just park the truck wherever I could and give the guy the key. Leslie also resolved another issue re: the return date; she was excellent and deserves a raise.ROBERT M.

Upon arriving there, no one knew anything about anything. Which was frustrating. I then took the vehicle to my location and realized that the dolly I had on my contract was not in the truck. I then called the location and reached Leslie, which is when my experience did a complete 360. She was FLAT OUT AMAZING!! She was kind, caring and understanding of everything. It was a long stressful day of moving back and forth to Brooklyn and Queens. She stayed in communication with me throughout the day and was so helpful. Words cannot truly express how incredible of a job she did. She deserves any and all recognition for her endeavors yesterday. If I ever go back or refer a friend, I will immediately have them contact Leslie. I can see an amazing and prosperous future for her in any and all aspects of Customer ServiceDennis B.

Vehicle was not clean, smelled like cigarette smoke, was not in the location that i was told. I had to drive around the area to locate. took me atleast 30 minutes to find. Looked at about 4 other uhaul vans nearby before i found the correct one which was not in the location i was told it would be in. There was a empty bottle inside and the right rear view was broken so it was really difficult for me to change lanes since i couldnt see on the whole ride side of the vehicle. So for starters you should get the right rear view mirror fixed.Karina R.

Twice now, it's a cat and mouse game to find someone who has the keys at the "office". I was also charged for a dolly when they didn't have one available for me. There is only 1 employee on site, and he doesn't have a company shirt or anything to help the customer locate the key. Luckily, Leslie on the phone from the office is above and beyond, working overtime to help locate the missing employees both occasions.Cade S.
I would start by having employees in some sort of Uhaul clothing, instead of a random guy in a red hoodie shouting at me from a truck parked on the side of the road with a fist full of keys. I paid for a dolly and there was no dolly in the van, so instead of sending your customers on a cat and mouse over the phone and trying to find an actual employee, you could be more on top of it and actually have the dolly in the van.Cade S.

Leslie was extremely helpful. The uhaul website and mobile pick up was frustrating with my android device and took so long to get sorted that it pushed my pick up time back by 2 hours. Leslie took care of everything, made sure I had enough time to move. She also has the best customer service and changed my reservation from a 1 star to a 5 star experience.Ryan L.
The van I was picking up was not located where it was supposed to be, and I found the pick up instructions somewhat lacking. It was also very strange that I was instructed to go to the vehicle prior to getting the key from the pick up box; I ended up having to do extra back and forth that seemed unnecessary. The padlock for the key box was very hard to use, and I think a digital lock would be more user friendly. I did receive a call from Leslie, an incredibly helpful uhaul agent, and she walked me through the process after I couldn't locate the vehicle, staying on the phone with me until I was inside the van and moving. She was stellar, and I very much appreciated that she offered an extra hour on the end of my reservation because it took so long to get the pick up sorted out. I needed that extra hour! I think the pickup process needs some ironing out, because I don't think Leslie will be there to help every single customer.PEGGYAMELIA N.

I booked a reservation online and put my driver as the main driver, with all of his information. However, Uhaul would not give him the keys, saying he had to login to the Uhaul app with an account, even though I don't have a uhaul account. I tried checking in on my end, but it wouldn't work. The check-in process was stressful and extremely confusing. The whole online process needs to be completely redesigned with a professional user experience designer, because this squabble made my moving day extraordinarily more stressful, and I will be informing all of my contacts to avoid this service. There are no clear directions online or at N&B. The only bright spot was that I finally got a person on the phone, Leslie, who was able to resolve the issue and was very kind. It's essential to have humans as part of the customer service process to resolve these issues. However, I still had to pay for an uber in the middle of my busy moving day to come there and deal with the situation, despite booking my reservation with the additional driver's credentials already on. I have no idea why uhaul required me to be there in person, even though I added the additional driver only. Very inefficient. I also gassed the Uhaul but was left with a fuel charge? I would like a partial refund on this rental because the -excuse my french- absolute shitshow that this was. I am happy to talk more with you about my experience to help improve your processes so future customers do not have this hurdles on their difficult moving days.Elijah S.

Implement better lighting for dropping off of the keys, area is sketchy after dark. Establish parking options , placing the onus on the customer to park the rental is terrible as there is alternate street parking in the vicinity and the area serves a large residential population. The customer service representative is the only positive part of my experience. She was patient, helpful and extremely knowledgeable about the process, for her I'd give this a five star rating , but unfortunately there were so many areas that were poor.ShelliAnn S.
