When picking up the vehicle I was informed that there was 1/2 tank of gas, There was only 6/16th tank (almost an 8 gallon difference that I had to pay for!). A few hours after accepting the truck I realized that there was a "back" side on one of the rental agreement pages in the pamphlet (that I WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF AT THE TIME OF RENTAL). The back side of the rental agreement stated "There is a hole in the side of the paneling that could cause water damage. The customer has been made aware of this and accepts the risks involved." I WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE DAMAGE MUCH LESS DID I "ACCEPT" THE RISKS INVOLVED. Both my 700$ TV and my 200$ Xbox were ruined from the water damage which I was told I was out of luck getting replaced EVEN THOUGH I PURCHASED THE INSURANCE!!! Thirdly the day after I rented the truck I noticed that my credit card was charged in the amount of 306.39. At the time of the rental I was told that my rental cost were 266.39 with ABSOLUTELY NO DEPOSIT BECAUSE i WAS PAYING WITH A CREDIT CARD. Obviously this amount included a 50$ deposit. Although I was refunded the deposit three days after I made the purchase, I am still very disappointed that I was specifically told Online via the website and in person at the Uhaul location that there would be no deposit, yet I was still charged one. Lastly I was given 145 miles with my rental... the only problem with that is that the distance from the Original rental building to my apartment, then to my destination, and to the return Uhaul building was 157 miles per Mapquest! I was not charged for the extra mileage but it was still a little ridiculous that I was spending over 250 $ to rent a vehicle and the included mileage wasn't even enough to get to my destination. Even though Uhaul was a less expensive as my other options in the beginning, the loss of almost 1000$ worth of personal items due to water damage and the overall headache and run around makes it clear that Uhaul is NOT customer focused and I will definitely NEVER make the mistake of choosing you again.

My complaint is that the site I reserved the truck at was a couple blocks from the house. But when I got the call to pick up the truck it was several miles away. At 99 cents a mile this meant it was going to cost over twice as much for the mileage and way more on the fuel. And since the fuel tank was not full when the truck was picked up how could we possibly know how much gas to put in. If you take a reservation for a particular site you should guarantee that the truck is at that site. Even if you did not charge for the extra mileage it still costs extra for fuel; and at today's prices that is a lot; but it also wastes time. As a small business owner my time is worth a lot.

The drop off location was within a few miles of my final destination. My return was processed quickly, I was asked if I had any problems (none) and the transaction was complete.

Originally, the car transport trailer was to be picked up in Vincennes, Indiana as promised by the dealer. Customer service at Vincennes rated as very poor! Terr Haute was fine.

Car dolly was broken and tire started smoking when we pulled out. It took forever to check in and get the equipment. Customer service was rude.

The drop-off location was closed and we could not find a drop box for the key. In order to turn the key back in, we had to drive 70+ miles back to the drop off location the next day to turn in the key. We learned at that time that the drop box was concealed due to a fence falling on top of the box.

Refund my $221.00 that the insurance I bought from uhaul should have paid. The people at the location were fine, but the distric or regional person I talked to was extreamly rude. I bought insurance to cover any trouble with the equipment, turned out to be a scam. I always used uhaul, no more I'll take my busness to a different company.

Rented 10' truck in advance, they didn't have one. Gave us a 14' with a seriously cracked windshield. I don't think they knew what they were doing.

When i masked about moving 3 rooms, 2 bedrooms and a living room, they said a 14 foot truck would be big enough. It was not. A 20 foot truck would have fit everything. Also, the light in the back of the truck did not work. The place I had tell me what size truck I needed was is Linton, Indiana

The left front headlight was burned out, I did a walk around to check the truck, etc; but neglected to check the lights in front as the U-haul rep checked out the lights on the trailer, which also quit working mid trip

This location was not the closest location to where I wanted to pick up the trailer. They were very slow with the paperwork and did not stock the wiring adapter that I needed, nor did they have any hitch accessories. They told me I needed to "Go to Wal-Mart" to pick this stuff up (Another 20 min drive). I wound up going to another uhaul store. VERY inefficient and inconvenient!! Won't use or recommend this store.
