The location was not an issue, the UHaul app was! After attempting to use Truckshare, my check out expired which led to being on hold via phone for 45 minutes. Once my session was reset, the checkout went as anticipated.

Absolutely the worst rental service we've ever dealt with. Overcharging on equipment that doesn't work and giving us a truck with flat tire in rear. They offered no help at all. We reported this to Uhaul main office

Rented a truck and trailer. Was not at lake hopatcong where we reserved it. Which was close to our home. Was called morning of by 3 different people to pick up in mine hill Nj. Told 2 different places to go. Truck and trailer were in 2 different locations which was very inconvenient. Then when we got to our destination we needed to return car trailer. Before the truck husband called U-Haul.was told we could only return Trail in Iran’s city Florida.which was also an inconvenience as it was a 45 min drive. When we arrived there my husband was screamed at by the women running the place telling him we would have to pay another 300 dollars. Thank you for making an already stressful time much worse. Will never use your see as it is not customer friendly.

The online sign up and process was worthless. Some representative kept giving ne a problem about the alternate number to call. He tried to actually contact my wife whose number it was. She wad not available to answer. I had to go into the store to complete the transaction and get mt vehicle. This set me back 40 min.

Very upset. Number 1, the building is so run down. It looks like its going to fall down and kill someone at any moment. And I returned the truck early with a full tank of gas (more then what was in it when I picked it up) and got no refund. Will never use again.

I was charged for a week rental when only reserved for 3 hours because their odometer reading shows we went over 500 miles. That is impossible in 3 hours! Now we are out $435 and have to wait until a dispute is reviewed in 72 hours. I believe we were given the wrong truck or they forgot to log the last mileage. Never again!!

I had a tire blowout while hauling my vehicle. Trip delayed due to waiting for roadside assistance. Trailer wire harness has a short and lights stopped working at night, had to pull over and get them working. Trailer pulled fine otherwise.

The person who opened the office (which on Saturdays said was at 7:30 am) did not arrive until 8:15 (when our pick up was scheduled for 8:00). By the time we got all of the paperwork for the truck it was almost 8:45. When I asked if we could get an extra hour added to our time because we had to wait for him, I was ignored. He then neglected to put the packing blankets in the van and didn’t call to inform us they were there. I had to call the office and request they be taken off the bill since our time constraint was even more limited than we had originally thought.

Long wait over the phone. I had to hold 3 times for 20-25 mins each. Then spend 40 mins over the phone with the rep. Furniture dolly was asked and paid for. NOT IN THE TRUUCK.

This location was a pleasure, however, everything leading up to getting to this locations was a terrible experience. I reserved a truck over a month before I needed it, yet the truck I reserved was given away by my initial location, and I was forced to wait until 9:30 the night before to be TOLD where I had to GO to pick up the truck I could have - actually a smaller truck, they didn’t have the 10’ truck I reserved, rather a 9’ van. Further I was told the truck at the new location was reserved under my name. It was not. When I got to this new location there was no such reservation. Thankfully this location had a truck for me. They were great. When I got back to the original location they just said “uhaul messed up”. No accountability. Further the sign outside that initial location says I get a $50 credit if my reservation is not kept. Well they didn’t keep it, and I want my $50 credit. I am holding back from blasting uhaul on social Media to give you a chance to make this right. Please contact me at 908-510-6510 to discuss.

The location was far away from my home. The address given (1 corporate way) Was one that google maps did not properly find and it tried to take us down a non existent street. Also, we had no help putting the trailer on our truck. The trailer was clean, but old and difficult to turn the nut needed to tighten it on the ball of the hitch.

I was charged for an entire 24 hour day but was told to return U haul back by 11:59 the SAME day for another customer's reservation. So my move was extremely rushed and exhausting, only to find out I was charged for a full 24 hours.

The agent was rude and dismissive. He could not answer my questions and it was clear he did not want to be at work. Certainly, Customer Service was not high on his priority.

Horrible experience. Desk was empty when I arrived then I was asked to wait when agent arrived. Spoke to disrespectfully. When I asked questions the response was "I don't know". No effort to explain anything, poor eye contact and not smiling. I couldn't wait to leave. Also spoke rude to my daughter when she came to get the truck. After getting to the location, the truck did not have the furniture dolly in it that I paid for. I will go further away to another uhaul location next time. Stay away, especially from this individual that worked on Saturday. Please reimburse me for a charge for a furniture dolly that I NEVER received.

My reservation was at 10am then got pushed to 12pm. Then, I was told I'd be given a 15 foot truck instead of my requested 10 foot truck, luckily I was able to get the 10 foot. Then, when getting assistance on the tow dolly, the man was speeding through the parking lot and nearly hit me, I had to step back. One of the tow dolly lights were not working. When trying to record how to set it up, the man was very rude that he did not want to be recorded. I understand for privacy reasons why he didn't want to be recorded but his face was not in the video and I am a young female who has never handled this truck and dolly before. Also, I received no instruction on the gears of the truck nor the 55mph speed I should be at with the dolly. I had to read it all myself with no assistance until I called the Helpdesk to confirm. That's another thing - the Helpdesk takes way too long to get assistance. I ended up getting in a mini accident because someone hit into my parked dolly (she was at fault) and it took forever to get service. The roadside assistance took over 2 hours, I'm lucky I was near my end location versus stranded on the side of the road. Then, when returning the truck. I had to wait 30-45min for someone to show up at the office because the man claimed he was the only one in office and his sign said only 15min for lunch.. it was definitely longer. In summary, very poor experience with this rental. Please let me know if there's any way you can compensate me for this poor service.

I rented a box truck to move furniture. During my trip it started raining. A large amount of water leaked into the rear compartment from the roof and I needed to stop using the truck and return it. I took video and pictures of the large puddles in the back of the truck, as well as, the stream of water leaking from the ceiling. I returned the truck at 6:30pm on the same day I picked it up. The next day, I called the Mine Hill, NJ office and told the receptionist the issues. The manager was not available so I left my name and phone number and was assured a call back. I received NO CALL BACK and was charged full price for the truck and mileage. I am very disappointed in the lack of respect and empathy for their customers. I wasted a day off from work and money on a truck I couldn't use.

I did the mobile check in which was great. However, I had already been debited 111.04 at the start of the rental. Then I was going to be charged $91.20, which I did not allow because I didn't want to be charged twice. There should be a better way to handle charges. Charge for the truck at first and then the remaining amount. I would expect that you will now just credit us the difference. Thank you.

I tried Home Depot and was told they were 5 deep. I went on your website, ordered my van and picked it up at my location. There was no line, no dealing with crowds. It was easy and quick. Would definitely recommend this to anyone

Optimize app. Tell customer to take pictures in front of sign. Tell customer to locate key box station first. App does not always enable phone camera - mine was blacked out. Tell customer to keep app open and check if using chat option as chat does not tell you when done. 24/7 service line is too long to wait. Waited 20 min. Need more timely support. Person on site not. educated to help, simply stages and turns trucks over.

Saying "Excellent" overall because there was 24 hour drop-off available which was a great convenience to us. Of course did not have opportunity to go inside. We called to question whether a wallet was found and the person was very helpful in looking for it. (Later we found the wallet elsewhere.)
