The truck I was given did not work, the location I was at was closed for the day and I didn't get to move anything from my house when I had several people over to help move stuff out of my house. I was given a potential of either waiting on a repair person or a different truck the same night that wouldve taken more time and I unfortunately did not have extra time since we were scheduling the usage of the truck around peoples availability to help. I really with the truck I reserved in advance was not in road safe condition. I would like a call back to speak with someone further regarding my experience. I tried called customer service to be on hold for a while and requested a place in line with no call back.Craig G.

Nothing. Jessica and Adam did an absolutely amazing job. They went above and beyond to make sure that our queen sized box spring would fit into the cargo van. Adam showed us a video to reassure my wife and I and Jessica and Adam both went out to measure the cargo van . Jessica also called around just in case their was another local Uhaul facility that may have had a bigger truck just in case . My wife and I were very impressed that both Jessica and Adam went above and beyond our expectations and they worked so well as a team . I would recommend this location to anyone that Is in need of a moving van . Keep up the great work you two ! Thanks so very much !Joe J.

Check out was extremely frustrating and long due to the app not allowing any of my pictures to be uploaded. I ended up having to go through my internet browser instead. It took me nearly 30 minutes! In addition, I was charged for things I didn't ask for or need (the appliance dolly and the furniture pads/blankets). The only thing we needed was the regular dolly. So, I ended up paying a lot more than was originally quoted, which was...not cool. Took money away from my groceries this week! Also, the check engine light was on during my entire rental. From the moment I put the key in the ignition until the time we returned the truck. It made me very nervous the whole time.Jennifer S.

When we dropped off the vehicle after hours on a Sunday, we were unable to complete the process on the app successfully. There was an error message that did not recognize either me or my wife as users. This caused considerable time and aggrivation! We do not know if this was caused by negilgence on the front end or a computer glitch.John B.

The van came from another location and was dropped off where I picked it up. It was not the size van that was depicted online when I reserved it, but there were no others anywhere nearby and I needed it right away so I had to take it. When I opened the door I was overwhelmed by the smell of farm animals. The back was filthy and had recently had something spilled in it. The front passenger seat was full of animal hair. The attendant did her best to clean the back and I brushed the hair off of the seat the best I could. The place that sent this van to the Merriman location should be ashamed of themselves and are a bad representative of UHaul. I rented 3 different vehicles from a location in Sterling Heights a year ago and had an excellent experience. This vehicle also bounced around the road so much during wind, rain and flooding roads on the freeway that I had to get off and use surface streets which made my move take almost twice as long. The attendant at the Merriman location was very helpful, did her best to try and find another van for me and cleaned the nasty one the best she could. I will not let this one experience deter me from using UHaul again, but will rent from a location that keeps more vehicles on hand.SHIRLEY A S.

At this u-haul rental location, we actually were able to talk with a person at pickup and drop off. That was wonderful. We had our rental during business hours on a week day so that helped. We have rented a u-haul truck in the past and had no one to talk to on pick up and drop off. If we need to rent again, we will do it from this same location.Mary R.

The truck cab was clean, there was leftover dust and dirt in the back of the truck. Not a lot, but it was not carefully swept out. We carefully swept it out. Overall not bad though.Frank F.

Ordered 10 moving blankets my location i was sent to doesn't even carry in stock moving blankets. I was sent to the uhaul on Inkster rd. with a note from my last location to instruct them to give me 10 blankets. I was told that they don't have any blankets. Luckily my uncle had ten that I used. I went to another place in town and it looked run down. This place was clean and easy to get to and the lady that took care of me was pleasant and thorough. The truck was clean and ran well. I would not hesitate to choose this place again.Scott A.

The service was good and very friendly. The truck had a few problems: ignition key was difficult to turn on, the heater controls were inoperable, the outside mirrors would not move for adjustment. With the heater controls in the completely off position, the heater continued to pump out heat. Had to drive with windows partially open.Michelle J.

The only thing that made the transaction average was solely because this is the third time I've rented a U-Haul and there was a discrepancy with the amount of gas that's reported versus what's really in the unit. The fact of the matter is, I drove less than 10 miles and in turn put a gallon of gas back in the vehicle and put it back at 1/4 of a tank. My paperwork said it was 5/16 of a tank (even my brother confirmed it wasn't). However, I will accept responsibility for not going back into the office and mentioning the discrepancy. However, as a customer, it's really not my job to catch a comoany's mistake. Again, this isn't the first time it has happened (3 different locations I've had this issue, 2 of which I've caught and went through the "re-printing" of the paperwork. I guess me not going through that extra ridiculousness costed me $7.65. Please utilize this as a learning curve and fix your process. You have a tablet at every location, start taking pics of the gas levels because somewhere in the check out process, someone is reporting/recording this inaccurately across the board. Unless of course , you're doing this as a way of "getting over" on your customers that fail to take the time to mention it.Jamar R.
