The app to check the equipment in is suspect, it freezes at a certain point and you can't complete the invoice which leads to other charges. There has to be a better way for customers to be relieved of these extra charges. When the apps works , it's good, when it's not it's frustrating .....paul B.

I was over charged 200 $for less than 30 miles & 2 days. I was given a key & told the truck number & where to locate the number on the truck, but I had to find the truck on the street in the next block. I Was asked to take photo of mileage to check me out. Uhaul falsely advertised the height of the truck by failing to note that the doorway limits the height of an object being moved. This was discovered within 1 hour and the truck was returned unused. Rather than provide a full refund, as one would expect, uhaul management determined that a reduced payment was required. Very disappointing. Should have been no charge and uhaul needs to reflect door heights in its advertising.Robert M.

They never approved my rental so my phone check in/n contact pickup was useless. Had to stand there and wait when I was on a time schedule. Its in a really bad area as well.Gillian D.
This was the 3rd location I was sent to after being told that my original pick up place did not have the truck we had entered into a contract with. I was promised a 50 $reduction in fees which did not come. The discount was known to the person at the Commerce location and he acknowledged it. Overall, it will be a very long long time before I will use a U-Haul again.Melva B.
I was charged for gas and I had over the amount I started with, the guy lied and I have pictures to prove it. Could find the location to drop off, so called this location. A man answers the phone , so I asked i need to drop off a truck. He stated I can't drop off the truck . So I ended up calling uhaul waiting an hour on the phone and made them call the location and they say I can drop off the truck. So since all that time was wasted I get charged anther day. When arriving to the location I parked outside went inside, a young man said I need to take pictures of the mileage and gas, so I go back outside, he comes outside yelling at me saying with his pants hanging bellow his underwear hickeys all over his neck very unprofessional, â€œI need to move the truck or I'm gonna charge 80 $â€ so I responded â€œdo what you have to you guys have been wasting my time beginning by telling me I can't return the truck hereâ€ I don't see why these location is so horrible in customer service skills. This location need attention. I've rented uhauls 10 times this year alone and never had this horrific experience.Tricia C.
The location did not have everything I had reserved online. I had to look for another location to get the furniture dolly and the blankets missing in my first order. This was very inconvenient and frustrating. The U-Haul site phone number never answer. I had to look for local number to get someone to help me. Luckily the site I found was able to help. Don't allow poorly trained 3rd party vendors to lend out trucks. No one explained to me that I'd get charged 40 $for a quarter tank of gas. The truck was also poorly maintained, the check engine light was on and the suspension was very bad. Definitely felt unsafe driving that truck.Tim M.
This was my first time renting a U-Haul truck and it wasn't good at all. The customer service was trash at best. They didn't explain anything about the process of getting a U-Haul or what the expectations were when returning it. They didn't do a walk around check on the trucks condition picking up or dropping off either. This also isn't the type of place you'd expect when you're looking for a moving van. It's a laptop on a makeshift shelf in the back corner of a convenience store. The truck they gave me was functioning but not the safest it could be. The steering alignment is off a considerable amount whereas it's difficult to keep the truck steady on the highway. That was scary as hell because it started raining. Also the dial to raise or lower the dashboard brightness is missing so if you're driving at night....Good Luck..Never again in my life will I go to this location or recommend it to anyone. This place should not be allowed to operate.Justice J.

I rented a uhaul from this store in February 2020 I was given a receipt and all was ok. I rented again in July 2020 and was not given a receipt. I was overcharged on the 2nd rental 28,00 $ for a "Safemove" or "Safe Protection" I was not asked if I wanted this, nor explained what this was for on picking up the truck. When I returned the truck and asked why I was charged this, the attendant gave me the phone number for UHaul Traffic 210.731.2805 to ask about any refund but she was unable to refund my money. I dialed soon after. They were closed and did not answer the phone it was after 8 pm on Friday July 24, 2020. When I called about the fee on Monday July 27, 2020 the woman answering told me she could not refund me for the "insurance fee" I agreed to and had already used. I assured her I had not agreed nor was I informed about it. She said I should have read my email. UHaul should have given me a paper receipt or advised me to open my email for hidden fees!martha R.
The truck was across the street, when he delivered the vehicle to me, he just pointed it out, gave me the key, and sent me on my way. He didn't check the truck to see if it was clean, and it wasn't. Marajuna seeds we're in the cup holder and the cabin was not cleaned.WESLEY J.

This was the worst experience I have ever had using a rental truck! No one should use this location for future rentals. I originally booked the U-Haul for 8 AM. However, the location was not even open until 9 AM. Furthermore, the employee that was due to open this location did not show up until 10:35 AM. Finally, I found out that the 10 foot truck, that I had booked ahead of time, was not even available. All in all, this location is complete circus.Carl K.

Cashier had very little knowledge of what's going on. Took 25 min. And i ordered the dolly which was 10 they didnt even have it plus he didn't know how to take off charge so he ended up charging me 14 for safe move fee which I didnt ask for. Then we had truck back at location at 815pm. She didnt check us in til i told her we have til 9pm if not we get charged extra. So she checked us in at 857pm. All around a horrible unprofessional expierence ever! I'll be contacting BBB about this.Alfredo M.
I don't have a problem with the location I rented from as I rented from them before but because we had some issues getting our pick up from the UPS facility we needed to bring the U-Haul back later than six hours allotted and they were like a little irritated and unfriendly. Every thing was great. The location was right around the corner. I usually rent from a uhaul store. But this is my 1st time from a local distributor. It was a very smooth process and the gentleman who helped me bent over backwards so that i could rent the truck. I believe he was the owner of the convienence store. This is a gas station not even a "location" and it is located downtown. There is only space for like 3 trucks so you have to manage how not to block any entrances or hit another truck. I dont think a family is safe with all these crackhead bums asking for money all day while you are fixing to take all these before and after required pictures.Fawaz A.

When I arrived and was taking a picture of the back of the truck, I saw homeless people exiting the back of the truck where I assume they were sleeping or doing something. They surprised me as I hadn't seen anyone else around.Patrick G.

It was insane. The experience started when my pickup location was changed twice the day before pickup. My pickup was scheduled for 8:30am. However, the location where my pickup finally ended up did not open until 9am. The convenience store clerk helping me did not know the procedures or the web application. He called someone and facetimed with them. I believe, based on the conversation I overheard, that it was the owner of the convenience store I was picking up the truck at, and she was not happy that she was being called. The clerk actually called me behind the counter to help him with the application, which I was able to help him navigate. Then, the first truck he gave me... yes, first truck... did not start. The battery was completely dead, or probably missing based on the neighborhood I was picking up the truck in. In the meantime, he had begun ineffectively helping the next rental customer. By now, there was a decently long line of customers waiting. I had to also help him get these next victims' rental squared away. When he finally got back to me, it took another 30 minutes to finally get me a working truck, which had a decent amount of body damage, but at this point, it was a working truck and I didn't care. He did, accidentally I believe, upcharge me for the saf-move, which I usually decline, and I also didn't get the pads I had reserved. At that point, I had been there an hour and a half and didn't want to press my luck. Also, I just want to get the heck outta there. So, what can you do to improve that location... training, training, training. Or maybe choose a location in that area that can be held to a higher standard.Todd T.
I'm very displeased. I didn't pick my truck until nearly 11 AM on 6/29, I brought the truck back before 11 AM on 6/30. Because the computer was down, he didn't log me back in until 11:20. I am being charged for 2 days rental. I didn't rent any pads, but I'm charged 20,00 $ for pad rental. I am also being charged 67,50 $ for fuel. The truck was empty of fuel when I picked it up, so I brought it back empty. I paid for my fuel that I used.john R.
Worst customer service EVER!!! Reservation were made 1 wk prior, when we arrived to pick up the truck we were told they didnt have one to rent. The previous person hadn't returned the truck as of 10:30am. Called customer service on hold for 20 min, found a truck that fit our needs. Get there & the person didn't know what he was doing. Spent 1 hr 30 min trying to get a truck. Called customer service again 2 other times about this & finally on the second call the lady completed the paperwork on her end so all that had to be done was get the keys from the store clerk. Our reservation was at 10am & did not get a truck til around 12:30. We will think twice about using Uhaul again.Jacklyn E.
