There was a lock on the rear door which I did not know was on it until I arrived at my destination and went to open the door. I immediately called where I got the uhal but it had closed at 2pm. So I called uhaul headquarters at approximately 2:30 and told them my dilemma. It was about 4:30pm our thereabouts when Currys Auto Repair arrived and cut the lock off. I lost $275 because I had hired help to assist me who charged by the hour. As of yet, I haven't been able to get reimbursement. I need to be reimbursed because $275

David WI have not met anyone at any of the locations that hasn't been very helpful and very accommodating. Highly recommend U-Haul due to the great customer service I have received!
MARY MI requested an in person pickup and the location turned it into a remote pickup without any type of indication to me. When I got there I was told the uhaul guy had already left for the day. The next 20 to 40 minutes was me on the phone with uhaul support being told they would try to find me another truck, while I drove closer to my final destination only to be then told it was changed to a remote pickup and it was the only truck available in the city I was in. To call this bad is an understatement.

ANITA HI blame uhaul, but anyways the review goes to location, first of all i need to say that the guy from the store was nice and helpful, otherwise i would have gave 1 star or 0 if possible.. so i reserved a truck and with that i reserved 24 pads and 4wheeler, if i requested is because i needed it, and gues what? Only thing they gave me was a cheap utility dollie; result: i had to spend 150 dolars at menards buying pads that ill probably never need again, and a 4wheeler that will be now taking space on my shed as well.. no good uhaul, no good, I understand that your prices are not bad, but lets try harder next time to have the equipment i reserve.. otherwise whats the point of reserving it ahead of time?
Marco PI had a mobile pick-up for 8:00am, and the keys were not in the mobile pick-up box, so I had to wait until the store opened to receive the equipment.
Elizabeth SWe were given no instructions for returning the vehicle and luckily customer support was helpful as the location itself felt sketchy and unsafe to be waiting around outside.
Chris RThere was no dolly in the truck and I have disputed tye receipt twice now for charging me for EQUIPMENT THAT WAS NOT THERE. When we were ready to drop off the truck, the back door jammed and was stuck in the up position.
Cloe TEach truck should be able to exit the lot in forward and reverse. The open lot parking makes parking a confusion for truck return customers. My truck was blocked in from a drop off UHaul truck. I was unable to receive my truck size due to the truck being blocked.

Kennith LThe interior of the truck was absolutely filthy. The check in on the phone doesn't take into account the inside of the truck. While the pickup process was easy, I was severely disappointed by the inside of the truck.
Adam BThe after hours fee is bogus. I dropped my truck off a day ear but it was at 9 pm and the store was closed. There was a key drop and they checked the truck in at 7:45 am the next day and still charged an after hours service fee. No one serviced me after hours. I would have waited had I been made aware of that fee. It was absolutely unnecessary.

Rachel PUhaul should not contract out to small businesses. They aren't as knowledgeable about the scheduling process, their hours are inconsistent, they are located in inconvenient places. The furniture pads and dolly that I paid for were not on the truck.

JEFFREY CThe drop off lot was fine but the location in small urban grocery store was not what I expected from a U-Haul location . That being said the people working the site were polite and helpful.
GENE NDidn't have a face to face meeting, because it was at the end of the day; but they were very Courteous and Helpful in assisting me to make the rental drop.
ROBERTO HNo inspection done for return area was not the safest called 800 to advise no security and that we left rented equipment in back of truck. told agent it was not in good area many homeless and drug use area. was concerned with equipment being stolen.

KURTIS BOne suggestion. The pad lock from the key box was not working properly due to exposure to the elements. This was an after hours pick up. I spent 40 minutes trying to make the pad lock work being on the phone with U-Haul. Then I called Nobles Grocery who surprisingly answered the phone. He told me how to push and pull to make it work. Many thanks to him. I believe U-Haul should be aware these pad locks don't work very well and do something about it.

Kenyetta MLocation was over an hour away from my preferred pick up location. Was in a very seedy part of town with no signage. Could only tell we were there by 2 trucks in a community parking lot.

Reneel KU Haul attendant was young man who also had the responsibility of being cashier for the store so my contract was done in between other customers and a bit disjointed. The vehicle got stuck in some icy snow and I called him to report I might be an hour or so late as we intended to melt the snow around the two tires so we could drive the vehicle out which we did and I returned it and placed the keys in a box at the rear of the store which the young man stated I could do when I rented the vehicle. He was polite and seemed to be doing his best though the interruptions from the cashier role may have been a little bit disruptive for him ?
