Brandon was awesome. The truck I reserved didn't come back that morning BUT instead of calling me and telling me I'm out of luck, he worked with his manager and actually gave me a slightly larger truck for the same price. That is a shining example of outstanding business practice and amazing customer service. Thank-you for making a horrible day moving a bit smoother.

The “Check Tire Pressure” light was on. I went back to the store to report, but the (apparently teenage age) customer service rep was gone already. Whoever was working in the store said “there's nothing I can do about it.” Very frustrating. I ended up putting air in tires myself and taking pictures of the dashboard in case they try to charge me for it later. Also, they wore no masks and did not maintain social distance. I cannot recommend this place in good conscience to anyone.

The agent that runs the place was 10-15 minutes late when I picked it up & dropped it off despite having an appointment for 8am. The truck was dirty, had water in the truck from the rain, and the gas was empty. Not expecting the world from U-Haul but would recommend someone be at work on time/for our appointment, have a clean truck ready, and have more than half a tank when you pickup the truck.

The app is a pain in the neck to use. The site is very slow and even thought I had done everything it asked, it still needed to "approve" my transaction and wound up calling my wife while we were waiting to pick up the truck. Turned into a 30 min escapade. In addition, there was no "lock box" to pick up the key. Had to go into the business of the drop off site, find a worker (not a U haul employee) and he had to call his manager to figure out which key to give me. Not very slick or professional.

Train staff to update the reservation based on customer contact so all staff have access to updated info and the customer gets what they asked for. When I confirmed my rental with the pickup location the day before via phone, I requested to pick up earlier and was told yes. When I arrived, the truck had be short-term rented out and would not be back for 2 more hours. I wasted a round trip of 90 minutes. I was first told it was not their fault as my reservation was for later. Then the supervisor did acknowledge that the reservation should have been changed by staff per our conversation the day before. He said he would contact the district office to get me a discount for the inconvenience. No discount has been applied. No one has contacted me. Keep location open until posted close time. When I arrived just before 6pm, the location was locked, dark and all the cars were gone. The Uhaul online pickup website did not recognize my account. I called the 800 number for help and was on hold for 15 minutes with no answer. I called the location that I had requested to pickup from (I was assigned to one 15 miles away instead of requested 3 miles away that I usually rent from) to see if they could help but they could not as it was not their reservation (he was very apologetic). I then called the reservation management number and she stayed on the phone with me for 30 minutes while the "convenient contactless online pickup process" failed in every possible way. She apologized repeatedly. Park trucks so drivers unfamiliar with them can access them. The truck was parked on an angle with just 6 inches of clearance on the driver's side from the next truck and I was just able to get it out of the parking spot - had to fold in the mirror to avoid hitting the other truck. Staff should also clean the windshield - I was completely blind driving into the setting sun due to the smeary inside of the glass and cleaned it myself before getting on the highway. Overall this rental was a very poor experience. I have rented Uhaul before with no problems (at the location I requested but was not assigned). Based on today's experience, I would NOT rent from Uhaul again and would tell others not to as well.

When I booked the truck I was told the pick up would be on Rand road in Propsect heights. When I got there at the scheduled pick up time, I was told they did not have the vehicle and that I had to go 20 minutes east to pick it up. The store manager told me that they should have called me the night before and that there was no need for the attitude. Then when I picked up the truck for an out of town usage, the truck was only filled half way with gas. So I needed to stop to fill the truck with gas. I should have canceled the order right there

Maintain a minimum amount of gas in the tank. I turned on the truck and had less than an 1/8 of a tank. This forced me to go out of my way to find a gas station and added miles and dollars to my trip.

The fuel tank was only 3/4 full when I got in. I can send you the photo. Otherwise everything about the self-pickup and drop off and the truck itself were fine.
