Even tough we had made a reservation with all our needs, as in hitch and trolley the man helping us said we hadn't ordered the hitch. He complained constantly about those in need of u-haul. He looked up our order and had to make the accommodations. My son was constantly polite even though our emotions ramped up. We drove away to realize the lower tail lights weren't working. The trailer was a piece of junk. We hurried the move to get the trailer back before closing time so that old man wouldn't accuse us of stealing any of the equipment. As a side note, the men working in the garage that helped were very kind, nice and helpful.

The experience overall was terrible. Your app and website are horribly insufficient and resulted in me having to cancel, had to sit in hold a total of an hour between multiple calls, and I finally had to reschedule plans until the next day. Terrible terrible experience. Horrible. But not the fault of the pick up location. 100 % a technical issue on uhaul. Your platform is terrible and unusable. You should have far more phone operators considering how terrible your online platform is. I had to sit on hold 20 minutes each day at least and the terrible online platform forced me to call three separate times. An hour on hold at least.

Trucks were parked very close together. Average driver may have an issue getting them out. Also, love the app check in and drop off with the following issues. Ask for pictures of DL and etc when first setting things up. Awkward walking around the parking lot doing this. With drop off, would have been nice to know ahead of time to get pics of inside cab and box before i parked the truck and had to pull it back out. Otherwise great experience and thankful it was available for a last minute need.

I never actually received my rental truck. The lock box was broken, and I could not get the key. There was another customer there having the same problem. I was not able to move that day. By the time I got off of the phone with a representative, there were no more trucks available in the area. Hopefully I will be reimbursed. The people at Nuts and Bolts were very nice when I called the next day. But I will never use U-Haul again. Very disappointed.

This location had very friendly staff when i called to confirm my online reservation. The only issue was very tight parking of trucks. It was nice they offered no contact pick up and after hours drop off. I was able to pick up on a Sunday even though the facility was closed. I would suggest being very clear to contact uhaul ph number for any issues. I had a question about the truck and was unclear who to contact. Uhaul 800# answered and was very helpful.

2 things soured this experience for me: 1. I found out that I needed an alternate contact when I picked up the truck. It delayed the process and was very frustrating. The day before the pick up, I spoke to a CSR for awhile so that I would not have any delays. I downloaded the APP. I watched the videos, etc. there was no mention that I would need an alternate contact for. Any reason. I wish I would have know the day before. 2. As I intended to use the expressway for nearly 90 % of the move of my daughter to her new condo, I had to use ALL local routes because the truck could barely go up to 55 MPH. This added a lot of time to my day and my daughters day For these reasons I would not rent again from U Haul - Vince Clemente

talked to someone on the phone about a refund when i was wrongly charged for an extra rental day for my auto transport and said he would not help me even thou i have a video with a time on it showing i had the trailer returned in under 40 hours of rental but i was charged for 3 days of rental. terrible experience!

My reservation could not be accessed, so I had to start again. I had reserved 24 moving pads, there were none. The truck had not been cleaned. It looked like the previous person hauled sod. The attendant had an attitude of take it or leave it. I will continue to use uhaul, but I will never use this location again. They hurt your brand.

I picked up the trailer and not all the running lights were working, but the flashers and brakes were and I agreed to take the trailer. When I arrived home I noticed that none of the lights were working and when I inspected the wires in back they was a bare wire for about 2" where the insulation broke off. This caused the system to short. I called and was directed to go to the Streamwood location to drop off and pick up a new one.

They refused to connect my trailer to my truck (I had to do it)also while towing we find out it had a leak in the left front roof which caused many items getting wet.

Inspect the trucks. The first truck I got needed an alignment and brakes were making noise. The truck had to be towed away. I got the replacement truck next day. It put us behind schedule by a day.

My day rental started with the lockbox not working. I had an 8:30am appointment and followed the instructions but their lockbox did not work with the combination I received. I called customer support and they advised to either wait until the shop opened at 9am or try for another rental place. I thought the safe bet would be to wait 30 minutes as I assumed they would have the main key for the lock box. When 9am came, I was greeted with a “what are you doing back here?” by an employee with a rude tone. We were in the back of the garage with all the truck rentals so perhaps we are waiting to receive a truck rental. I explained to him that I had a reservation for 8:30am and that the combination was not working. Employee went back to office to retrieve paperwork and he tried the same combination I had received and that he had on his form to no avail. After unsuccessfully trying keys to open the box, he said that I would have to wait for another employee to arrive in order to unlock the box. After waiting another 45 minutes, employee finally arrived to open the lock box to retrieve the key to the truck. He stated that people can sometimes change the combination to their lock which is what he assumed happened. I would suggest to either get a new lock box that makes it difficult for a customer to change your combination or take the extra 10-15 seconds to make sure the combination works if you know there are issues with wrong combinations. I would not recommend this place or use this place for future rentals and if it wasn't for 2 previous cancellations, I would have gone to another place.

Wasn't informed that I needed my voided license for pick up. I walked two miles to pick up truck. Why would I need my voided license? I had a temporary. Totally messed up my schedule. Uhaul needs to change this policy or inform better.

I have rented from this location multiple times before without issue. The van itself performed as it was supposed to, however, the older gentleman who set me up was highly unprofessional and offensive. He was not wearing a mask, as my mother and I entered both wearing them, he did not put one on. He then proceeded to speak on his republican beliefs, unprompted. And, while I believe he is entitled to his opinion, I didn't care to hear it. Yet, he continued to spew b*llshit about white supremacy being a farce, protestors deserving to be shot, and he provided us with racist points of view on the Kenosha shooter. Highly unprofessional, highly disappointing. I will not be returning to this location, as I can not turn a blind eye for this racist bigot. I'll continue to use Uhaul's services, just not at this location. F*ck the Lombard, IL Main Street location. Black Lives Matter.

Truck wasn't there when we got there after confirming the day before that was. Waited 30 minutes for the truck to show up and then when it did, no cleaning was done. Inside of the cab was filthy, trash behind the seat, food crumbs all over floor.
