DON MANNOpen Saturday's - most aren't - that was extremely helpful for me
Elizabeth HurstThe mobile check in process is cumbersome. I first tried doing it on a web browser and it failed at the point where a selfie was required. Then I downloaded the app. The check in on the app didn't work at all. Switched back to the web browser and after a few more tries it finally went through. I was sent a text earlier on the day with a link to upload my license photos. I did that but had to do it again during the mobile check in. I will stick to in person check in next time. The mobile check in was fraught with problems and took way too long. It also asks you again if you want insurance and how you want to pay. All things that you select when you first reserve online. The duplicity is extra frustrating when nothing else was working as it should and you just want to finish the check in process. I gave all this info already, can I please just get the truck and go?

Mark LabantNo one was there. Tried website and again frustration. Finally it said to drop key in box and a representative would call me. No one called. When I checked my credit card it showed a charge for $2,2 and one for $269.50. The receipt they sent was only for the $2.20. No receipt or explanation for the amount. I was quoted $197 from the gentleman in Windsor when I rented the truck. The waynesboro place won't answer the phone and their voicemail is full. Yesterday the sign on the door said they closed at eleven but at eleven o one they were gone. Another gentleman had gotten there before eleven and they were gone. I have used uhaul in the past and was very pleased. But my experience this time has turned me away from ever using them again.

Dennis BaileyI wasn't able to return the items I didn't use, and I was charged for going over the mileage when there was a huge road closure. Instead of being understanding, I was told that they couldn't help that. I can't either.

John BurnsI think the rates due to the economy and selfish business models of the nation have taken the prices up. The cost of 80 to rent a truck for four hours is entirely too much, but overall it was fine. Just seems new ways to rent for shorter periods and in town need to be applied. Overall it was a great experience.
Ryan GrubbMy experience with the truck and the personnel was excellent. However the app and website are atrocious. It was incredibly difficult to use, and advance notice for all the background information (like license, passport, verification of identity etc) was challenging. It was raining and I had to go home in the middle of the process (to get a passport pic) so then it wouldn't let me continue. I had to start over numerous times. While it should have taken 5-10 minutes, it took 45, and was extremely frustrating on a day where stress and frustration is already high due to moving!

Vince IsnerI was charged for gas even though I made sure that the tank was filled to where I recieved it. Also location too far away from where I moved., It took me 30 minutes to get there and 30 minutes to get back to where I am living, An hour drive after moving all day is too long.

LANCELEVAR POINDEXTERI rented a uhaul yesterday and she charged me 11 for insurance and when I reserved the uhaul online I didn't select insurance. I told her why am I going to pay 71 dollars for a pickup with insurance when I can just use a box truck like I did this past monday?. I can be reached at 540-294-2943. She was very new and didn't seem to have any training at all. She couldn't find the key for awhile. Also rented me the wrong pickup. Then driving down the road I had to take pictures of my license because she didn't get anything from me in the beginning. The Uhaul service i received on July 31st is exactly what it should be . She was great. I rented the 14 foot uhaul Monday and paid 66 bucks but it as 77 for a small pickup. I'm very confused

WELLSHUNTINGTON BYRNESMy original drop off site at 2900 W Main st. Waynesboro, VA refused my drop off and the staff were very rude. They pointed and said "we don't take Uhauls here, go down the road" After searching two other nearby locations, the first of which was not a uhaul dealer and the second that was closed , I contacted the customer service representative. I will say that everyone I spoke with on the phone were very helpful , polite and understanding during this stressful process. after being directed to O'hanlon's site at 1218 W broad st, Waynesboro VA things went smoothly. I was a little hesitant to do a non-contact drop off after my experience thus far; however, the facility at O'hanlon's was clean and professional looking and the customer service representative assured me that they are a trusted site, so I left the truck and put the keys in the drop box. This was on 7/1/23 at 2:00 pm and Mr O'hanlon processed my contact first thing in the morning on 7/2/23. I received a confirmation E-mail at 7:46 AM. I requested a refund or a reduction on my contract to compensate me for my stress and lost time from the return process described above, but I am still waiting.

Harley WeaverGreat customer service, nice and easy. Could absolutely rent some parking from the neighboring lot to give people a place to park. Truck was fairly beat up but clean and met my needa. As always worst part of the experience is the uhaul website, camera upload process continues to suck as usual.
