Our pickup location was changed from 205 E Cypress Ave, Redding, CA to Oasis rd. redding automatically from uhaul. The Cypress location was very helptul but we had to go to Oasis rd to pickup trailer. Had to make 2 trips back and forth. Most frustrating event in a long time! The Oasis location was something out of the Deliverance movie. Wearing old tshirts, very dirty location. Badmouthed Cypress location every chance they had. Very unprofessional.. Would never go there again. Cost me too much time and $$ going back and forth.

The pickup experience was confusing and I was confused. When I told him of my "rental requests" that had been previously ordered and set up he acted like he knew nothing, didn't care and couldn't answer some of my questions. HE DID get the truck right, I think. My son drove the truck for me. The place was a dump and dirty, and the outside was not any better. Poor representation of U-Haul. However, the location was excellent for the area with a gas station right across the block. The man doing the deal was nice but a bit unpredictable in the knowledge he had. Just would. never use them again though. He was not rude or mean. He just didn't seem to know or car about the previous transaction that I was trying to assure myself that everything was correct so I could proceed. He couldn't even pull up my account with my name for a while. Guess he was misspelling it. Don't know, don't care anymore. I got to where I was going and the truck was turned in. So enough of this place for me.

This is a small “satellite” U-Haul location and deals in other services as well as U-Haul rentals. It was not the most inviting place, but it was very convenient for me and the owner was very kind and friendly. Much better customer service than the primary U-Haul facility on E. Cypress. I would definitely consider contacting Oasis & I-5 Rentals for future needs before resorting to the “big store” in town.

My original location was at Cypress in Redding, CA where I waited 20 minutes only to find out that my reservation was over booked. Because my 5x8 trailer wasn’t there I was sent 15 minutes north to a very shady location and store and no one was there for almost 30 minutes - that location didn’t have the right rental forms and no supplies - I had to check out and hook up my own trailer then go back to Cypress location to get the supplies I needed. When I returned the trailer to HILLSBORO they indicated I should have been offer some sort of credit - I spent 2 1/2 hours getting a trailer that should have taken a fraction of the time - this was the worst experience ever using uhaul!!

Location reeked of Cigarette smoke. Initially, they wanted me to back trailer up to a location beside a Propane Tank. I was tired after a very long trip and told them so. At this point the lady grabbed someone to help and they had me drop the trailer (4x8) and used a dolly to park it.

Waited two hours for delivery of the trailer I rented they were very busy selling propane seems the rental service took a back seat to propane selling also dog pens needed cleaning hair and fecice were visible under the pen covers pretty nasty bad for the dogs too

Treat your customers with respect!! At 58 years old this was the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The parking lot is small. It would seem to me my only responsibility is to return the trailer. iif you want the trailer in a perfect spot, put it there yourself, and not with my vehicle. I am not going to allow you to drive my car as you suggested. Terrible, terrible parking lot service. With the treatment I received, I'm shocked they are in business. Office staff was helpful, kind and respectful.

First off your reservation representative sent me to a store that had no trucks available then when I did get one the Interior of cab was filthy and smelled like pot farm. It was only truck available so I needed to take it. When I got to my destination to pick up brand new furniture I found pot leaves all over floor of truck. I swept up a good handful of it and again the smell was terrible. When I returned truck and mentioned this I got an “ oh well” response. Luckily for you there are not a whole lot of options for truck rentals or I would never come back.

The pull out ramp had been destroyed by someone by backing up with it down, was not useable, and had to be left at yard. Ended up lifting the furniture to the high deck. Truck was so shaky while driving that I was worried a tire was going to fly off. The brakes made a loud hissing noise and kept hissing as long as your foot was on the brake pedal. The above was bad enough and could be tolerated. However, the condition of the container department far outweighed any negative of the truck operations. When it began to rain, two large leaks in the roof (that were taped over) began to allow significant water into the truck container space and a bed and dresser made of manufactured wood was soaked and destroyed. Seat cushions on chairs were soaked and may need to be re-upholstered. Other items were soaked but will dry out. When I informed the site agent that the truck had holes in the roof he said they have no liability and don't guarantee that items won't get went inside the van. I understand small leaking, but holes that allow large amounts of water do not present a water resistant condition and in fact represents knowing negligence on the part of the company. This is the worst experience in decades of using UHaul and, given the representation that trucks are not meant to keep water out, I am considering going to my tech people and beginning a social media campaign to make this event and company stance know to the world - it would be far more effective than legal action and as an attorney that is saying something. Sad to see UHaul coming to such levels . . .

I reserved a 10 foot truck online and when I arrived at the location there were no 10 foot trucks. They only had a 20 foot truck which cost $20 more to rent. They would not swap them out evenly for the same price even though I had already reserved one. They said that their hands are tied but they could not alter the price. Someone, somewhere should’ve been able to correct that injustice on the spot. My satisfaction would’ve been insured. However, instead, I am looking for a $20 refund Steve Lincoln 517528-4925

The place was filthy as well as the woman helping me. I don't know if it was her or the system but it took forever to "find me" and then to get it to say I was returning the equipment. Handed a receipt and said and "there's your receipt". Had to ask how I was getting the deposit refunded and still not sure if I can trust the she said it would automatically be refunded to my card. Don't see anywhere on the receipt that confirms that.

First thing they did was tell me how the company was cracking down on them so they were checking everything in case I did something wrong to the truck. Every scratch like I did it. Something about no x on the spot. I said any extra cost and I would sue them. 20 extra miles and they charged 11 dollars. Ridiculous!

I was supposed to drop off at the Cyprus location. Upon arrival, they said they didn't have space for it. The employee was not nice and I did not appreciate being told to drop it there and them refusing it.

Lot is dirty, office is beyond dis gusting dirty. Owner was rude, did not do a walk thru with me on the truck. Gas gauge was lower than indicated, so I had to go in for adjustment. Upon returning and to settle bill, the milage was off by 10 miles, once again, no walk thru. He would not make it right, I will be calling corpprate for adjustment... I will never rent from this place nor will I recommend it to anyone.

Don’t rent out a truck that smells like cigars and vomit especially without thoroughly cleaning it for sanitary purposes. We literally dropped it off to another gentleman that worked there who explained that he did not understand why he rented us the truck that was not cleaned after they had to retrieve it from the previous renter who defacated and puked all in side of it. We just needed a truck for one hour to move a furniture piece 8 miles. The price came out to $76!!

This gentleman listened to my concerns and went out of his way to fix what the other location did wrong. I was beyond happy and he saved me $300+. His location was alittle dirty and no air conditioning on a 110 degree day so I waited in the car while he talked to customer service for me. This gentleman was the only thing out of this entire experience that was good/positive.

The original location did not have my reserved trailer and referred me to this one five miles away. The trailer was very old and rusted. Some of my loading help commented on the poor state of the trailer and wished me luck on the trip.

This "neighborhood location" is a mess. Not clean or customer focused. The truck smelled badly of smoke (the tiny and dirty rental office smelled the same). Not sure how pricing is but I needed the truck for 26 hours and I was charged 2 days. It seems that you could do a pricing schedule to allow for extra hours rather than paying for an entire extra day.

I had to wait for dogs get put away because they were not friendly. WD40 had to be applied to the ratchet levers after I waited to for all the paperwork to be taken care of. Then the worst happened, I was told that the car trailer I rented was ready to go and when I got it home and tried to load it the hitch flew up in the air. When I returned the trailer I was greeted by another growling dog. When I explained what happened I figured I would be offered a refund and an apology, I got who did it and we will talk to him not either of the latter.
