I checked online to see where I could pick up a 9' cargo van. There was one about 2 miles from my home. I called the location first to double check. The man who answered the phone said that he was not sure that it was there at the location. I then stated that it said it was according to the internet. He then responded very quickly and with a stern tone, 'we thats on the4 internet and you can't believe everything on there, call corporate'. After calling corporate, the very kind lady helped me and I ended up getting that cargo van at that same location. I would suggest asking the owner of the location to be a little more aware of his inventory and have better customer service towards his potential clients.

The windshield was splattered with dried mud and there was no windshield washer fluid. The vehicle itself, other than the windshield, was in good condition. We had requested moving blankets online which we did not receive with the van.

Definitely never going back for uhaul rental here! The owner of this place name Derell was very rude and not very friendly nor professional at all. Got there 3 mins early and he said uhual doesnt open till 10am and pointed at the clock, but he didn’t assist us till 10:10 after. The U-Haul truck was in bad shape! Lights and sounds were coming on just right when i started the truck. Do yourself a favor, dont waste your time giving business to ungrateful, unprofessional people!! That U-Haul rental should be closed!!

Set up a specific counter/table or cash register for uhaul customer transactions. Currently you have to stand around the store until someone takes you to the storeroom office to collect your license and take payment. This was the worse experiance to date w uhaul, and I've done a lot of buisness over the past 8 years. Recived the worse maintaimef trailer on the lot, no one assited with hook up, no light harnesd on trailer and once i hooked it up no one came out to help perform a operational light check. Had to stop by another uhaul location to have them help check and repair the lights. This is a major safety failure and was a major concer for my family as we traveled across the entire US.

The inside of the uhaul was really dusty/sandy. It seemed like it wasn't cleaned out before it being returned. The guy that handles renting out the uhauls was a bit rude to be honest. Just because of him I wouldn't recommend this location to anybody.

During a previous rental there was a snafu on U-Haul's end and it took me a month to get corrected. Unfortunately when I went to pick up this rental the U-Haul representative who had SWORN to me that everything was taken care of LIED, and had left an eAlert not to rent to me or to any of my friends or associates of mine. It cost me almost two hours of my time getting it straightened out - and cost me two hours of time at my job. This was totally unprofessional and is completely unacceptable. I will be very cautious if I EVER rent from U-Haul again.

When I got there the owner was less than cordial and didn’t seem to care for my business he had about 20 things going on and left me to check in with U-haul over the phone. Pointed to the truck and left onto his other tasks. When I got back he didn’t check me back in I arrived at 4;30 pm told me to drop my keys off in the after hours box. Said I Would receive a receipt the next day when they checked the band back in. Two days later I realized that I hadn’t received my receipt I called the 800 number and found out that my van that I checked out two days ago had not been worse checked back in yet. So you haul had to do research I finally received my bill and I was charge for things that I didn’t rent so then I had to call U-Haul again to get it to it straightened out. I will never rent from U-Haul at this location again.

The Ord Market is very unprofessional. I purposely set up quick check out so I didn’t have to deal with them, but of course they were unprepared. I got there at 9:50, was told I had to wait for their employee to come to check me in. Waited until 10:20 (30 min later) and went in again. The owner told me he could set me up. Right after he had me wait 30 min. This time cut into my moving time and caused us to be late to work. I will never be renting from the Ord Market again and I hope you reconsider your U-haul outlets. The guy at the pick up location was rude and seemed completely put out at having to deal with us. When we got there, he told us he couldn’t check us in, so we had to call to check in on his phone (I totally understand technology complications, no big deal). We checked in by phone and were told by phone that he could now attach the trailer to the truck. We told him this and he said he wouldn’t do it. He asked if we knew how and we said no, our reservation said our pick up location was going to inspect our truck, our hitch, and show us how to attach everything. He said he couldn’t leave the store so we were on our own to figure it out, but he would come inspect it once we got it hooked up. We did figure it out (it’s not a complicated system), and as soon as we were on our way, the rest of the rental process was great. Uhaul support staff was awesome by phone.

My experience here was terrible. The service man was unfriendly and more interested in talking to his friend more than dealing with me. He was rude when he called me to confirm my appointment. After he tore up the first contract because, I asked a question about the mileage, he rushed me into a very dirty, and very low on oil, truck. I thought the hole experience was very unprofessional. I feel like I was an incredible inconvenience to him.

Arranged a 7am pickup and guy didn’t arrive until 7:45am, when he arrived he started yelling at me because somehow I was supposed to know the combination to his lock and get my own keys. Made it seem like my fault and started telling me how incompetent U-Haul Corp was as I was on the phone with them when he arrived.

Very Rude Owner, they need to loose the UHaul part of the business. He is giving UHaul a very bad name, I am telling everyone at that uses the services there during move in/move out of college to definately go somewhere else. Close to the college or not doesnt' make up for the attitude of the owner there.

The owner is very rude and condesending. I have used this Uhaul 3 times and each time I thought he was just having a bad day. I will never use nor reccommend this UHaul again. In order to fix this, this business needs to loose the UHaul part as they are giving Uhaul a bad name in the Monteray Bay Area. Even tho it is farther to the CSUMB campus, the service at Uhaul in Seaside is awesome! I will reccommend this one and use this everytime in the future.

I understand there are a lot of trucks coming into CSUMB today, and I'll be the first to admit that I come across a little harsh when you first meet me. I was originally told to take the truck to Ord Market as part of my original reservation. When I picked up my truck I was told Ord Market was not available for drop off. I called my drop off location, and was put on hold for 30 minutes. I offered to take the truck to the new place, but was told I would have to pay the extra mileage. I am not going to move uhaul's trucks for them, pay for the extra gas, and pay for the extra mileage. They then told me to take it to Ord Market and they would call and take care of it. I brought it there and I was treated with utter disregard by the manager. He told me the system didn't say for me to drop it off at his place, and that he wasn't going to take the truck. I called uhaul's again and they looked up my drop off location which now said Ord Market. They called the manager and he finally agreed to take the truck. None of this would have happened if they would have just given me the extra miles to return the blasted truck. This whole ordeal took me 2 hours. That is a little less than the amount of time I actually drove the truck. Totally unacceptable treatment. Not only that, I payed two days insurance on the rental and I only used the truck for a total of 8 hours. It would have been 6 if it didn't take 2 hours to drop it off.

Contract #86113748. Attendant was a rude unprofessional waste of space. He was impolite to my wife who picked up the trailer and told her she had to hook it up. I quote "hope you know how to hook up a trailer cuz you didn't get the insurance and I cant touch it" . I'm not sure if this is your policy to have women and minor children hook up their own trailer but if it is I believe that is an ignorant policy. FYI my personal vehicle insurance extends to trailers something you attendant could not grasp.

Location was just a back office in a bigger market but the service was great and extremely fast and hassle-free, which helped after the long drive. No complaints for sure, and another great experience.

My review has less to do with this particular pick up site but my experience as a whole. I was seriously inconvenienced by a computer glitch. I was forced to rent a smaller truck much further away from my apartment and storage unit. Not having the size truck I needed resulted in multiple trips, loss of moving help, damaged personally effects, and a much longer moving day. I applaud U-Haul employees for doing their best, but in this case there was nothing anyone could do to remedy the problem properly.

To be honest I wouldn't ever recommend uhaul for anyone ever again. After trying to confirm my reservation I was told my closest truck would be Freedom. I am in Monterey. You see the issue. My confirmation email listed monterey. But this wasn't the case. They then proceeded to tell me that there was a location in my area with the truck I needed but someone else had booked it for the day before but they were late for their reservation. I was confused as to why someone who was late would still be able to get the truck. I was told I would hear back in 30 minutes. Luckily I did. I got the truck in my closer area thankfully. Moving is stressful enough. But then came the time I was supposed to return it. My contract said Martinez but I called to see if there was somewhere closer to us than that since I was 30 minutes from that city. I called Ashley at the Martinez location and was given an address in Walnut Creek for where I could drop the truck. I confirmed everything. I got to that address and was rudely told they won't take my truck. I told them I had called and was given this address. This man at the front rudely told me I would have to drop off the truck at the UHaul Center in Concord. I had been driving all over and was tired and now I had to drive to a different location. Upon getting to this location on Monument Blvd in Concord, It was unclear if I was to wait with my truck or get out and go inside. I went in and stood in line for close to 20 minutes. Finally another worker came out and helped and when I got to him he told me I should have stayed with the truck and someone else would come out. This was past my patience so I went outside and the SAME MAN came out to help me. this was just a ridiculous process and I will NEVER use Uhaul again or recommend them.

When I booked the vehicle, the return site stated open until 4 pm, when I returned the vehicle at about 2 pm, I was told the person responsible would not be available until the evening. I wa told to just drop the key and contract in the box. The vehicle was returned filled with gas to the same level as when I picked it up. (I have a picture). I am disputing the charge for gas.

Worst experience. I filled the truck up with more fuel than required. I returned the blankets folded. However I was still assessed a cleanup fee? I received an unexpected phone call from Marina Uhaul. I was told that the truck was not supposed to be returned at the site but my contract does say return to Marina. Rather than us work out what went wrong the person at Uhaul Marina told me everything was my fault and said I will pay extra. He let me know with anger that the truck was not supposed to be there. Doesn’t make sense to me why the customer experience needs to be so poor.
