RALPH JGreat location, near freeway. April was fast, experienced and had exceptional customer service. Hours incorrectly listed in website. We contracted in person. Not an online reservation. The emails are not user friendly for returns. Needs to be simplified into one action email - not within miles of printed info. There should not be a timed action for returns when trying to read small print in the dark. Called customer service; they couldn't find our contract at all. Poof - just disappeared! We took our own pictures for proof of return. App should connect to emails. There is no way to return a trailer if you do not make an online reservation Need to improve website, app and email services.
FRANK PApril the worker that helped me was outstanding. She helped me both picking up and dropping off. I had trouble with the app and she was able to help me. She went above and beyond to make my experience great. If you have any way of saying great job to her, PLEASE do that for me.

John MMy original reservation was for 2261 Ellsworth Rd, Ypsilanti, MI 48197 which is right across the street from starting location. The Howell location happened to be the closest location from where I was traveling from that had a 15' truck, so I agreed to use this location. This meant that I had to drive the U-Haul truck 40 miles further than I originally had it reserved. The person on the phone that changed the location said that I would be credit 25 miles for going out of my way. I never received the credit but instead was charged $35,3 for Extras miles. This is the second rental that this happened to me.
JOHN TThey did not supply the 4 to 8 pin wiring adapter cost me $22.00. The last time I rented a trailer they supplied it

NESTOR II've rented from this location before without any issues. The vehicle I was assigned this time was THE WORST, and frankly, should be taken off of the road until it can be repaired. The steering was very vague. I could turn the steering wheel 5-10 degrees in either direction without any change in direction. Having to drive through construction zones with narrowed lanes and concrete barriers made it a white knuckle drive. It was the only truck on the lot and I had to move my daughter; otherwise, I would have returned the truck. The check engine light was also on.
Roy SUse of the chec in app was not explained at all. Truck had damage to both doors and the front right corner cap I did not see unti I started loading. Road service came out and fixed it with duct tape.
chris wVery helpful and courteous, But they need a big sign out front, in order for customers to know which building they are in. It's a guessing game.

Mike OAlthough the staff had requested a repair to one of the vehicle tie-down chains before my rental, it was still broken at the time of my rental. This is not a poor reflection on the U-Haul location or my overall rental experience (the tow dolly still worked fine for me).

Summer MThe whole drop off process at a non uhaul facility is absolute horrible. The lack of help and not to mention the poorly made online process makes for uhaul users like myself upset and irritated to even want to use uhaul ever again
Morgan DAdd value to the self check in process. Rather than threatening the customer with a $20 fee if they don't carry out the self check in process, offer a $20 refund on the overall rental for doing the self check in process. It's a win for customer a win for the drop off location and a win for Uhaul. Think of all the good PR and marketing that would spin out of that campaign. The cost would pay for itself in dividends

Luis BI have rented a Uhaul many times within the last 7 months. I was hoping tor receive a discount with the most recent one.
Gina MDropped car hauler of at 4pm and there was no U-haul rep. on seen to check-in the trailer. Was told to just leave it in the parking lot and they would check it in the next day. No re-assurance that trailer would even be there in the morning.
Chris MThe wheel straps and ratchets were in poor, nearly unusable, condition. It was a safety issue and should be addressed immediately

WILLIAM BThis location is not manned by U-haul people. Service is all self serve and online. Young lady gave me a helpful note showing how to check in my trailer. But didnt tell me to scan the location's bar code that is on the front door. It was snowing hard, so I left, thinking I could complete the check-in at home, but had to drive back to scan the barcode on the door.
James KI don't remember the young lady's name, but she was very helpfull. She was working her butt off hooking up a car-hauler trailer to a guys truck, while he (the customer) just stood there with his hands in his pockets. I did help her, But she was very knowledgeable and a hard worker. Also very pleasant to deal with. She's a keeper!!!!

Shirley BGet rid of the app drop off. Again, I don't see why I'm paying full rate to do their job. Plus who's to say they get out there and mess something up and then lie and say we did it? If we are doing their job then the price needs to be lowered quite a bit. Inflation hasn't affected them to walk to the truck and do check in and out.
