When 1800 UHAUL calls and says everything is OK and how it will work then when you get there and the kid knows nothing of how to use the system. Nothing goes as planned. ILL MAKE SURE MY WHOLE FAMILY WHO HAD TO DEAL WITH THIS WE WILL LEAVE A REVIEW FOR YOU. THIS ALL SHOULD HAVE BEEN HIGHLY REDUCED FOR THE LIES AND INCONVENIENCE.

Super nice people to deal with. The UHaul app wasn't working for us, but they took care of us inside, no problem. The van was in great shape and didn't have many miles on it. It ran great. We will definitely use this location again. Merci!

The location is good and I have used them in the past and appreciate their good customer service. Therefore, I know it's not their fault that the truck itself was rough. The truck was in bad shape and doing the self check-out with my phone did not really load any of the pictures that would've shown previous damage. This made it an anxious experience for me, because I spent so much time walking around the truck and taking pictures of everything, including where previous X stickers had been put. It's not a positive experience to feel like I may or may not be blamed for damage on a truck that is that banged up. Moreover, the check engine light was on, and I called U-Haul to make sure it was ok to drive off like that. This added more time to the check-out process. In addition, there was a lot of pet hair inside the cabin of the truck. Finally, there was no dolly in the truck. I wish there was an easier way to take off that charge before I drive off.

The online uhaul experience was not very clear. The instructions said the box was "on the other side of the trailers" but it was at the front of the building. When going through the check on process it said to enter 4 digit code at the box but did not say where to find the code, only gave me the vehicle number. It also said the vehicle number was on the front right of the van but it was back right and front right. I tried calling the 800 number and was on hold for 20 minutes. At that point, the website exited out and refreshed and THEN told me the code to get the van key, which wasn't an option before. My van had an existing piece of trash and the other van still had a pillow inside the cab as well, so no one is checking them either. The online reservation may also be better if it could show WHEN things are available instead of guessing and then the next day being told the truck and or time will not work.

This is the second time I've rented for pick up at this location and northern time did they have what I ordered. I had to settle for smaller truck which meant no ramp and more loads equaling more miles and much more work for us. The office lady was very friendly and did her best to accommodate. But this is a constant problem with the company general

The issue was with the remote picking up and dropping off process. The system was down at pick-up and then we were told that since we didn't show up within our estimated pick-up time the process was frozen. This cost us about 90 minutes to work it out. The people we did call from U-Haul to help us remotely were helpful, though.

When we ordered the truck, we were told someone would be at the store. No one was. We had to do the check in via phone and had an issue getting into our truck. The unlocking process was very difficult, plus, they had a truck parked right at the bumper of our truck, so we had to climb between the two trucks and stand on the bumper of our truck to try and unlock it. Then we discover the truck only had a half tank of gas. If you need to return the truck with a full tank, why was ours only at half?? I would never recommend this location to anyone. Unfortunately being as it is a small college town there are not many choices. Let's just say we are glad to be done with dealing with this location as this was not the first time we had an issue.

They were great! Unfortunately my experience with U-Haul self storage failure was terrible. We had reserved a unit months in advance at U-Haul in in Coletrain, Ohio, as my daughter was graduating college this past weekend. She had to be out of her residence by a specific date and time while also going through graduation. As such we had limited time and reserved a moving van as well as a self storage unit for all of her possessions. She has two months between now and the start of her lease and start of job in a city far from home. When we showed up with a full van to unload her possessions and then head to graduation, we are quickly told that all units are taken. When provided a reservation confirmation, the attendant was unmoved and said that often happens because the online reservations are not linked with the local sites. They offered no assistance to find an alternative solution and really did not care. We quickly found another location (non-U-Haul) and fortunately made the graduation by minutes! I am 59 and rarely get upset and try to maintain perspective and common sense. This was one of the worse experiences of customer service from the misleading feeling that a storage unit would be available to a poorly trained and prepare employee who showed no ability to be empathetic and a problem solver. The task was beyond the employees ability and I cannot imagine this person has the ability to manage the entire site, which she seemed to be tasked with.

We are extremely upset they you gave us the bare minimum of miles for this transaction (from one resident to the other resident in Kentucky was 58 miles and that's not including the miles from residents to U-Haul, which was over 14 miles) and then had the nerve to charge us for the extra miles it took us to return the truck to a U-Haul after getting an extra quart of a tank of gas from us - ~$35-$40!!! We have used for 2 long trips across country in the past that equaled thousands of dollars - may not use you again after this disgusting transaction of gouging us on the miles.

This was a very negative experience starting from the moment I clicked reserve on the website. I had to cancel the first reservation because it changed my pick up location to Hamilton without me knowing it. Then the Oxford location did not have the truck I reserved when I called to confirm two days in advance. Then the truck did not have the equipment (dolly, furniture dolly, furniture blankets) I rented when I opened the back of the truck and the store was closed that day so there was no help. Then the ramp was broken but we were able to make it work. Then when I returned the truck, the online app did not work and I got stuck in a loop to take a picture of the gas gauge and mileage. Everyone I spoke to throughout the day was helpful and refunded me the missing equipment or helped get me checked back in, but I would have paid anything to have the equipment I originally reserved. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience.
